Sexy Habeeba's belly dancers at the 2007 Columbus Arts Festival dancing a sexy bellydance routine in celebration and expression of their femininity. Belly dancing is a fun way of getting exercise and staying healthy and fit. Habeeba's Dance of the Arts is the first belly dance school established in the Midwest and is the longest continuously operating belly dance school in the USA.
Traditional belly dancing involves exquisite costumes that leave the naked tummy exposed. Some if not most costumes are reminiscent of Princess Leia's metal bikini in Star Wars Episode 6: Return Of The Jedi. This is not coincidence. The term "metal bikini" is actually an informal description compared to the more formal "dancer's outfit"; some articles even go as far as to call it a skimpy belly-dancer's outfit. Movements of the dance center on the belly or tummy section as the dance's name suggests. The dance itself has traditionally been associated with the erotic or exotic but its beauty and standing as an art form prevails.
