Just a video on the Song by Alabama using pictures of history. Note! Most of the South has progressed a lot over the years, and most people have an equal standard of living relative to the rest of America. Poor whites in rural areas have replaced shacks with trailers and small houses, poor blacks have done the same. However, there are still pockets in the South that are poor (mostly rural), and though not as poor as in the past these areas still under perform the rest of America in education, poverty, and equality.
