Product code to enable firmware updates. Expanded to explain the whole thing. NB. Use the software in this clip at your OWN risk! Changing your product code may have consequences. Oh as mentioned in the comments: PC Suite Mode = throughout. Cheers for that. Sorry something happened to the sound sync - but you can still follow it. Vista - Running in XP Sp2 compatibility mode is recommended if you are having connection issues. 1. My recommendation BEFORE proceeding is to HARD RESET - ie use Green * 3 while powering on the phone .. this will clear all random stuff / settings BEFORE applying the firmware. I also suggest restarting your PC as well. 3. The NSU - Nokia Software Updater .. Stand alone software http://nds1.nokia.com/files/support/global/phones/software/NokiaSoftwareUpdaterSetup_en.exe (22.7Mb) The firmware download is about 112-115Mb ** Someone had issues with a firewall so be wary of that! ** Then be patient while it does the install - it does take time and does restart the phone several times - DONT PANIC this is normal.(Less)
