Lola is working on LMP1 and LMP2 coupes for 2008, the B08/60 and B08/80 respectively. The B08/80 will have revised suspension geometry compared to the B05/40 New Lola B07/10 Audi of Swiss Spirit testing at Lédenon, France. The team first tested their LMP1 car on April 20th. It has a twin-turbo 3.6 liter Audi V-8 (gasoline) with over 600 hp (restricted but not "performance balanced"). Audi wants to prove that the LMP1 rules don't favor diesel engines. Hartmut Kristen, Porsche's motorsport boss, thinks the rules favor diesels though. This car will race in the Le Mans Series in Europe and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
