Iverson scored 46 points with a whirling array of beautiful shots, and Aaron McKie, who had a triple-double, hit a 3-pointer to break a tie with 39 seconds left in overtime as the 76ers earned the NBA's best record with a 107-104 victory over the Kings on Saturday. The game matched the teams with the NBA's best records entering January, but the 76ers (21-8) jumped ahead early with a blistering first quarter and never trailed the Kings (20-8) despite several nip-and-tuck minutes in regulation and a tense overtime. Iverson, who also had nine rebounds and nine assists, drove the lane and passed to McKie in the corner for the go-ahead shot. Sacramento couldn't score on its last two possessions, and Jon Barry's 3-pointer with a second left was short. With Iverson's artistry and a dominant rebounding performance, the Sixers won their NBA-best 14th road game and snapped Sacramento's nine-game home winning streak. McKie had 19 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds in Philadelphia's first win at Arco Arena in 11 years. Iverson missed a game last week with a dislocated right shoulder and also is nursing a left hip pointer and a sore right elbow. But the 1999 NBA scoring champion used the nationally televised meeting of the NBA's conference leaders to show he's healthy and ready to make the Sixers better than they've ever been in his career. Peja Stojakovic scored a career-high 33 points for the Kings, and he hit four straight free throws in overtime which tied it at 104 with 54 seconds left. Sacramento is 13-2 at home, with both losses coming in overtime. Chris Webber, fighting a case of stomach flu, had 29 points and 10 rebounds but missed a potential game-winning jumper with five seconds left in regulation. After trailing the entire game, the Kings outscored the Sixers 32-15 in the fourth quarter thanks to 11 points by Stojakovic _ including three straight 3-pointers _ and Bobby Jackson's solid defense on Iverson. Sacramento pulled within one with five minutes to play and tied it at 96 on Webber's driving layup with 2:01 left. It was tied at 98 when Webber missed a jumper with five seconds left, and Jackson's tip attempt missed by an inch. Philadelphia got the last shot of regulation, but Iverson's 17-footer was off. The Sixers opened the game in an offensive groove, hitting 14 of their first 20 shots and steadily opening an 18-point lead in the first quarter. Sacramento chipped back in the next two quarters, but they never pulled within striking distance of the lead until the final minutes. Notes:@ McKie and Philadelphia coach Larry Brown received technical fouls late in the first half for protesting a foul call on McKie. Brown nearly came to half-court to scream at referee Jason Phillips. ... The Sixers also were irked that a backcourt violation wasn't called on Jackson with 24 seconds left in regulation. The referees said Jackson didn't have possession of the inbounds pass before he fumbled it into the backcourt. ... The 76ers hadn't won at Arco Arena since March 1, 1989, when Charles Barkley had a triple-double. (Less) Channel: youtube

Knox was born in the tiny farming community of Happy, Texas and as a boy learned to play the guitar. In his teens, he and some high school friends formed a band called the "Rhythm Orchids." After performing on the same 1956 radio show as fellow Texan Roy Orbison and his "Teen Kings" band, Orbison suggested Knox go see record producer Norman Petty at his studio in Clovis, New Mexico. Knox recorded three songs at Petty's studio, most notably "Party Doll" that later was released on the Roulette label and went to No.1 on the Cash Box magazine music chart in 1957. This success was followed by "Rock Your Little Baby To Sleep", a top 20 hit, and "Hula Love", a top 10 hit. While he never achieved the same level of artistic success, Buddy Knox enjoyed a long career in music. For his pioneering contribution, Knox was elected to the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. "Party Doll" was voted one of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll. In May 1969, Buddy Knox appeared at Langley Speedway (British Columbia) in Langley, British Columbia, Canada and assisted in handing out trophies to the race winners. A lifelong user of cigarettes, Buddy Knox died of lung cancer in 1999 in Bremerton, Washington. He is interred in Dreamland Cemetery, in Canyon, Texas. (Less) Channel: 123video

As he said he would, Allen Iverson wore Julius Erving's No. 6 for Sunday's NBA All-Star Game.
Iverson normally wears No. 3 for the Philadelphia 76ers, but wanted to do something as a tribute to one of the city's basketball legends.
"It felt good," Iverson said. "I think I'm going to do it next year."
The new number did not bring any good luck.
The MVP of last year's game, Iverson scored just five points on 2-of-9 shooting.
He also confused his 4-year-old son, Deuce.
"After the game, my son asked my why did I have somebody else's number," Iverson said. "I mean, he don't really know right now.
"I'll explain it to him later on, but it was just an honor. It was fun."
The plan to wear Erving's jersey has been three years in the making.
The City of Brotherly Love was supposed to host the 1999 All-Star Game, which was canceled due to the lockout.
Leading up to that game, Iverson said he wanted to wear Erving's number and take the braids out of his hair to sport an afro similar to the one Erving used to have.
This time, Iverson kept with his plan to wear the jersey, but kept his hair in cornrows.
"I'm talking about that afro I heard he was going to wear," Michael Jordan joked on Saturday.

Wu found fame in 1988 by joining Taiwanese boyband Little Tigers Team, performing alongside Alec Su and Julian Chen. Since then, his career has also expanded into film and television in Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland China
[edit] Childhood
Nicky Wu is the second child of the Wu family, with one older and one younger brother. He has been described as being athletic in his childhood, having participated in Judo and Tae Kwon Do. His efforts in these two disciplines earned him three black belts in Judo and five in Tae Kwon Do. Moreover, Nicky was the provincial Taiwanese Tae Kwon Do champion for three consecutive years. [1]
Nicky also excelled academically during this time, consistently being placed amongst the top three in his class. Besides this, he earned awards in calligraphy, drawing and essay-writing.
[edit] Rise to stardom
In 1988, at the age of 17, Wu was spotted by an entertainment agent while working part-time; the agent advised him to audition for Taiwanese boyband Little Tigers Team. Initially Nicky refused, wishing to focus more on developing his career as an athlete, but he was eventually persuaded to go through with it. The audition was successful and he was chosen to be a part of the band, along with two others -- Alec Su and Julian Chen. Nicky was given the name of "霹雳虎" for the band.
With the release of their albums Happy New Year and Leisurely Cruising in 1988 and 1989 respectively, the Little Tigers Team achieved success and recognition, becoming pop idols in the region. The band's success is said to have inspired the next generation of Taiwanese pop acts, [2]leading to the creation of other boybands such as F4.
[edit] Going solo
After selling millions of copies,[3] the band was forcibly put on hiatus due to Julian Chen's compulsory military service. Nicky continued in the entertainment industry by himself, branching out into Mandarin and Cantonese albums with hit singles such as "Best Wishes to You" and "Waiting Day by Day". Going solo proved to be successful when Wu won the 1993 Best New Artist award in Hong Kong, accompanied by the box office success of the Tsui Hark movie The Butterfly Lovers the following year, in which he starred as the male protagonist Liang Shangbo alongside Charlie Yeung.
Nicky continued starring in other films such as Love in the Time of Twilight (1995), Thunder Cops (1996) and Never Say Goodbye (2001), though none of these films were able to match the critical and commercial success of The Butterfly Lovers. His musical success, however, earned him the title of one of Taiwan's "four small heavenly kings" (given to the four most popular teen idols of the 1990s) along with Alec Su, Jimmy Lin, and Takeshi Kaneshiro.
[edit] Developing further
With the broadcast of the TVB series At the Threshold of an Era, ATV series Treasure Venture, and Taiwanese series Treasure Raiders in mainland China, Nicky Wu achieved fame the television industry. Since then he has been working consistently in both film and television, recently starring in the high-budgeted A Battle of Wits, alongside Andy Lau. Wu currently provides the voice of Dexter in the Chinese version of Dexter's Laboratory. [4]
[edit] Personal life
Throughout the years, Nicky has been linked to stars in the entertainment industry such as Taiwanese singer Vivian Hsu and Hong Kong actress Charlie Yeung. In 1999, Nicky he was in the public eye for his much-publicized relationship with actress Ada Choi. The couple broke up in 2002 and Nicky began dating mainland actress Ma Ya Shu a few months later. This newly-formed relationship had drawn criticism from the media, for Ma Ya Shu was rumored as "the third woman" in connection with Ada Choi. However, the couple dismissed this, and recently got married in December 2006. (Less) Channel: youtube

The pair later attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison together, playing in blues bands like The Ardells and The Fabulous Knight Trains. Leaving school, Scaggs briefly left Texas to join the burgeoning rhythm and blues scene in London. After singing in bands such as The Wigs and Mother Earth. He travelled to Sweden as a solo performer, and recorded his solo debut album, Boz in 1965, which was not a commercial success and did a brief stint with the band The Other Side with fellow American Jack Downing and Brit Mac MacLeod. Returning to the U.S., Scaggs promptly headed for the booming psychedelic music center of San Francisco in 1967. Linking up with Steve Miller again, he appeared on the Steve Miller Band's first two albums Children of the Future and Sailor, which received good reviews from music critics. After being spotted by Rolling Stone publisher Jann Wenner, Scaggs secured a solo contract with Atlantic Records in 1968. Despite good reviews, his sole Atlantic album, featuring the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section and slide guitarist Duane Allman, was met with lukewarm sales, as were follow-up albums on Columbia Records. In 1976, he linked up with session musicians who would later form Toto and recorded his smash album Silk Degrees. The album reached number 2 on the U.S. charts and number 1 in a number of countries across the world, spawning three hit singles: "Lowdown", "Lido Shuffle", and "What Can I Say", as well as the MOR standard "We're All Alone", later a hit for Rita Coolidge and covered by Frankie Valli. A sellout world tour followed, but his follow-up album, the 1977 Down Two Then Left, did not fare as well commercially as Silk Degrees. The 1980 album Middle Man would spawn two top 20 hits, "Breakdown Dead Ahead" and "Jojo," and Scaggs would enjoy two more hits over 1980 and 1981 ("Look What You've Done to Me" from the Urban Cowboy soundtrack, and "Miss Sun" from a greatest hits set). But Scaggs' lengthy hiatus from the music industry (his next LP, Other Roads, wouldn't appear until 1988) slowed his chart career down dramatically. "Heart of Mine" in 1988, from Other Roads, was Scaggs' final top 40 hit but was a major AC success. Scaggs has continued to record and tour sporadically throughout the 1980s and 1990s, although he has semi-retired from the music industry, and now owns the San Francisco nightclub, Slim's. Boz Scaggs recorded Other Roads in the mid-1980s, took another hiatus and then came back with Some Change in 1994. He released Come On Home, an album of blues, and My Time, an anthology in the late 1990s. He garnered good reviews with Dig although the CD, which was released on September 11, 2001, was lost in the post-9/11 melée. In May 2003, Scaggs released But Beautiful, a collection of jazz standards that debuted at number 1 on the jazz charts. He tours each summer, has a loyal cadre of fans, remains hugely popular in Japan, and released a DVD and a live CD in 2004. Description: The scene, obvious, but profound. You're looking at Spike Jonze and George Cluney from the 1999 movie Three Kings.
