I smiled and thanked God for the challenge ahead
And trusted that lessons of Truth would be fed
So later that year, two boys became three
Then four and then five, when God gave to me...
A partner to match, and to serve side-by-side
We prayed for God's grace to bring kids to life
And then partner three jumped on board in year two
This trio complete, as our little boys grew...
Into young men who pray and who struggle with sin
Short-round young disciples stretched up, out, and thin
Your voices are changing, your bodies also
But God's love, I pray, you will never outgrow
These three years were filled with a whole lot of fun
When trav'ling around in the fog or the sun
To Camp Koinonia or KCDC
Or just to my house for a game of sardines
A car wash, or wrestling at sleepover nights
Or Fan-fest, or movies, or bowling a strike
Or rolling a gutter-ball even with bumpers...
Or strolling in Golden Gate Park in the summer
Or hearing the Newsboys in concert sing "SHINE"
Or cooking a lunch for the others to dine
Hanging at Tyler's or PZ's or Vince's
Barbecues, swimming at summer events
How can I forget that most infamous day
When walking the maze that was made out of hay
Or seeing the sight of that dirty pigpen
(Three boys know how awful that memory's been)
But greater than all of these various places
What brought me great joy was the look on your faces
When special events that were based on God's word
Brought faith to your lives because Truth you had heard
"The End of the Spear" or "Return of the King"
The Valentine's love-feast we called "The Wedding"
Or the Bible Bash Food Fight or Alcatraz Night
Or breaking down trophies that we idolized
So many more memories, can't fit 'em all here
But God knows each one and He's always so near
Each game and each scripture verse points us to Christ
Remember that He is the Way, Truth, and Life
May your heart be His home, and your "Faith like a Child"
As you "Shine" for His glory, and burn like a wild
Fire ablaze with God's love and His grace
In all the new classes and friendships you'll make
My prayer for you is that you'll fear and obey
The Lord throughout high school and everyday
God's word will accomplish His work in your heart
I'm just humbled that He let me play a small part
I thank God for bringing you into my life
For all of the blessings, the joy and the strife
He suffered and died so that we might be one

Its Nic here again for week 3 of the horrors I have encountered with the Clinique Anti - Blemish 3-Step program!! All week I have had the worst face alive!!!!! My god I need a paper bag for my head thank god I have a funny cut fringe otherwise I wouldn't go outside!! I have no idea what's happening to my face but one thing I can say is its not getting better at all in fact it's the opposite! My uncle has a theory, over Easter we did the family thing and he laughed at my face most of the time that and the fact I wasn't wearing makeup (got up to late) but anyway he says its all the years of junk food hidden under my skin. I'm thinking what is there a Big Mac under my face?? Yes but getting slightly annoyed and uncomfortable with the whole thing.
Despite what I say my friends don't care what I look like and my darling Effie who has been very patient with my whining all week doesn't think I look bad at all I say she needs her eyes checked (kidding sweetie!). I have been using the Clinique Anti - Blemish 3 Step products day and night but it gets hard at night because the other night I went out to the movies and didn't get back till almost 12. Problem was I wanted to wash the makeup off and everyone in my house was asleep. So yeah, at night it gets a little tricky but I'll be interested to see what happens when I take it to Effie's this weekend. She's having a girl's night and then we're getting up at 6 to go action paintballing the next day yay!!! ^_^ So excited and I'm wearing a helmet all day so yay no one has to see my face!
Humm me in the morning might scare people a bit but hey me with makeup in general is scary as you can tell. I wonder if by the end of the 5 weeks if my face is going to be ok? I mean this is all really different for this poor face of mine, and it's not going so well but I must say I'm persisting and that's the main thing!! Oh and btw the date went very well! I love movies - makes everything so nice, then we went walking in Hyde park oh yummy but I'll keep you informed of how the rest goes cos I got another next week hehehehe. Anyway I'm off to work again were else would I go :$ but have a great week and keep watching out for the new news on my face and how to decorate your favourite paper bag so no one notices the difference ............. And remember to wave randomly it increases happy endorphins!!

Previously: Nick and Caroline were getting along really well and then Molly and Kevin looked like they were starting to hit it off. Joe and Alexis are doing good also. But before Chapter 10 ended, it seemed like something was going on with Molly. Do you think it is a bad thing in Kevin's case? I guess you'll have to wait and see cause we aren't posting it in this one... aren't we evil!? =D [a/n this chapter is hilarious, me and Alexis couldn't stop laughing for HOURS when we wrote this, Caroline wasn't on.]
Nick: Molly doesn't have a boyfriend or anything does she?
Caroline: I'm not sure, me and her were only like... in school friends. If that makes sense.
Nick: Yeah, it does... but then why did you invite her over?
Caroline: She was staying at her grandparents house and she sounded bored, and I knew you guys were around so I thought what the heck!? *smiles*
Nick: *laughs* Well, it looks like it was a good idea cause Kevin seems like he likes her. *winks*
Caroline: What makes you think that?

Caroline: Alright, we better go get those two. *pointing to Molly and Kevin who are just sitting they're on the grass in a deep conversation*

Caroline: Bye Mom! *they leave and head over to Kevin and Molly*
Alexis: *running and almost out of breath* Joe, where are we going?!
Joe: To Teribithia, now keep up!
Alexis: *stops running* But I don't wanna drown!*laughs* [a/n you know.. how the little girl drowns In the movie? Well, that's what that means. =D]
Joe: You aren't gonna drown, your talking to superman here!
Alexis: *sighs, and runs to catch up to Joe*
Joe: *Stops and just stares into the distance*
Alexis: *confused* Joe, what is it?
Joe: Isn't it beautiful? *pointing to the sunset*
Alexis: It really is. *sighs of enjoyment*
Joe: Just like you. *looks at her but she didn't hear him*

Kevin-Yes..and after landing the next few weeks your recording a demo album and if it's good enough we're sending it out straight away. As long as it's out before the end of the tour we're good.

Emma-You sound like such a father *snickers*
Kevin-Someone has to get her in check!

Emma- How did she react to the Joe thing?
Kevin-I don't think that really stuck in her head. At all. But I have a feeling that they're going to have a long talk.
Emma-So three months of touring with you guys...doesn't sound too bad.
Kevin-*laughs* Thanks.
Emma-I'm just happy that she finally has the chance to do this stuff.
Kevin-I am too..I feel like a parent so proud of their kid that won the spelling bee *laughs*

That was just the start of al the craziness. The next few days were full of interview after interview, photo shoots, meet and greets and plans for the tour. clothes were everywhere that I could see.Kevin flew to NY to do the New Years performance with his brothers. He was helping me promote my album that we were planning to release January 31st. I was hosting the Disney New Years show too. They picked me up and planned for me to guest star on the boys show, as well as giving me a part in the sequel to one of their movies. Emma stayed with me to help with the wardrobe, make up, and hair planning. Once Kevin came back though on January 3rd, I already had 3 songs done. We listened to them and he approved. By January 10th the tour started and all the songs were done. I stayed up until 3 AM most times to fnish them with him and to record. When exactly was Nick coming back? I had absolutely no idea. He said two days from friday, right? Well, I didn't know what time, place or anything really. And these details were sort of important if I wanted to see him right away.
But I had to attempt to forget him the next morning (sunday) when I got a phonecall. At 9 IN THE MORNING. Yeah. A little early? I think so. And it was on my cell, so Sophie wouldn't get it. I groaned and rolled over in my bed, blinded by the early morning light I always got in my window. I reached for my phone and said a groggy "hello" into it.
"Hello, Nicole. It's Jonathon Morris. I am quite busy over the next few weeks, and I was thinking that if you had wanted to get this demo done before christmas that you could head in today. That is, if you're not busy, or too tired, that is." At this, I shot up. I rubbed my neck. Whiplash. I got up quickley and tried to change my tone. It was hard to do when you were running on 5 hours of sleep. Don't ask me why I fell asleep at 4... I'm just dumb like that.
"Uhh, yeah that would work great! I'm so excited. When do you want me to come?" He filled me in on the details and where to meet. I had to be at the studio in New York at 2. That would be easy enough. Sophie could drive me the hour or so to get into New York after we ate and I got ready. I thought about dressing up, but I thought it would be better to just wear what I always would, to show my style a little bit.
By 12:45 I was gathering up all of my music, my guitar and everything I would need. I had decided on a pair of black arm gloves and a striped tank top, with a long cardigan, with dark wash skinnies and old pair of black converse. I decided against my neon green pair.
When me and Sophie showed up at the studio, it was a whole new world for me. But something I could totally get used to. I had my guitar strapped to my back and I looked a little out of place on the main floor where there were just profesionally dressed secretaries, who guided me to the 11th floor. When we got up there, we were told to head down one hallway and take the first door on our right. I knocked and walked in when someone told me to.
As I walked in, my eyes were wide and my mouth dropped open. I gasped. I couldn't help it. It was something you only see in movies, or in my dreams. It was an actual recording studio! We were on the side with the recording systems and stuff and who I guessed was Jonathan and some other guys and one girl, checking the equipment I guess. The guy who I thought was Jonathan (he was wearing a suit) introduced himself. He stuck his hand out and I shook it, absent-mindedly. I was still in awe.
"I'm Jonathan Morris. It's nice to finally meet you, Nicole." I nodded but gained my voice back eventually.
"Y-yeah, it's my pleasure. I'm so beyond lucky to be here. Thank you so much." Just then, the girl turned to me. She looked younger than the otehrs, about 22. She had bright red hair and deep green eyes. A smile stretched a mile wide when she saw me. She jumped up and ran to give me a hug.
"Oh, I've heard so much about your potential!" She said, excitedly. Then she pulled back, looking at me. "Wow! You have a GREAT look too! I love it.. I can tell you're so creative already..." I just smiled at her. It was one of those crazy but cool music people you see in movies. Everything was so surreal. "Oh, how rude of me, I forgot to introduce myself!" She stuck out her hand and I shook it like I did with Jonathan. "I'm Amanda, Amanda Meyer."
She gave me a warm smile and they instructed me on where to sit and exactly what to do. Sophie sat back and watched with a proud smile on her face. I started to strum the new song I had written only friday, These Four Walls. {A/N I know Miley Cyrus sings it, but let's pretend Nicole wrote it and sings it, alrighty?}. I was lost in the moment when I finished in what seemed seconds. But I knew it was more like minutes. I had sung the words differently than I had before, but they seemed to like how it was. They cheered for me as I played the last chords.
I couldn't wipe the smile off my face as they all said how much they loved it. I got more comfertable with them, especially with Amanda (who goes by Mandy) as the afternon wore on. By the time I was singing the song for the last time, I heared the door open and shut faintly. But I continued anyways. I was once again lost in the song and there was no chance of me getting out until it was over. And it was depressing. I remembered exactly how I felt when I had written it.
I opened my eyes when the song was over and saw something that I couldn't ever forget. Suddenly the world seemed so much brighter.
Hmm, I wonder what that could be?
any guesses?
