Like the other 6, this scene took place at the Kennedy family home, which in real life is the home of the Scriber family here in Ruston, Louisiana. They were on vacation, so we snuck in their house and filmed! Okay fine, they gave us permission, but it sounded much cooler the other way, didn't it?!
In this scene, Brandon's best friend's son, Korey, joins everyone else in pushing Brandon (whom he calls Uncle B) to find a nice girl and settle down. The phrase Korey uses at the end of the scene was, of course, inspired by an SNL skit featuring the late Chris Farley.
The only cut-away in this scene is to Korey's mom, Janae', as she walks by, stops to say her lines, and then walks off. We filmed her part separately, so I had to overlay the sound of her footsteps across the main shot of Brandon and Korey. The only problem was her footsteps just stopped abruptly when I cut back to the guys, so I had to copy and paste her footstep audio clips a couple times and then gradually lower the audio levels to make her footsteps appear to fade out.
