"These are some of the best moments, I think, of my life that we're experiencing right now," Paul said. "We're just riding a wave right now."
It's a wave that wiped out the Dallas Mavericks and is now crashing hard on the defending champion Spurs.
Paul had 30 points and 12 assists, leading the New Orleans Hornets to a 102-84 victory Monday night and a 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven, second-round series.
Peja Stojakovic made five 3-pointers and scored 25 points for the Hornets, who've won both games by wide margins in becoming the first team to put San Antonio in an 0-2 playoff hole since 2001, when the Spurs were swept by the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference finals.
"We're definitely a little shocked," Spurs forward Kurt Thomas said. "You can't take anything away from them. They are playing extremely well. If one person's not going, someone else is stepping up."
Game 3 is Thursday in San Antonio.
After allowing David West to score a career playoff-high 30 points in the series opener, the Spurs held the All-Star power forward to 10 points on 2-of-11 shooting. But West remained active under the basket with 10 rebounds.
"We're trying to make sure our defense is where we want to start. We don't worry about what we're doing on the offensive end," West said. "We stuck to what we do."
Tyson Chandler had 11 rebounds and all of his five points, including an alley-oop dunk of Paul's lob, during a key stretch midway through the fourth quarter when the Hornets prevented San Antonio from getting within single digits.
Tim Duncan led San Antonio with 18 points and eight rebounds, far better than his miserable Game 1, when he tied a career playoff low with five points and three rebounds. But by the final minutes, Duncan was on the bench, resting his cheek on his hand with a dejected 100-yard stare.
"It's just frustrating losing. That's the biggest thing," Duncan said. "They've obviously done an excellent job defensively, frustrating all of us with their double-teaming, with their shifting. ... It seems like they come the other way and they're not missing shots. That stacked on top of each other just makes the whole game very frustrating."
Manu Ginobili had 13 points for the Spurs and Tony Parker, guarded mostly by Paul, was limited to 11 and had two shots blocked by Chandler. Brent Barry added 14, some of it when the game was out of reach in the fourth quarter.
The Spurs continued to settle for 3-pointers, going 8-of-27 from that distance and finishing at 42.5 percent shooting overall. The Hornets shot 48 percent.
Duncan had seven points in the first eight minutes, luring Chandler into two early fouls and tying the score at 17 on a follow shot as he was fouled by Chandler's replacement, Melvin Ely.
Kurt Thomas, who scored only two points in Game 1, also had seven in the first quarter.
Ginobili scored six points during an 8-0 run that put the Spurs up 29-22 early in the second quarter. New Orleans hit back with a 9-2 run that included Jannero Pargo's two jumpers and rookie Julian Wright's 3, which tied the game at 31.
Paul, who had 11 points in the first half, gave New Orleans a 42-40 lead with eight seconds left in the second quarter. Parker then hit a 3 from the corner at the buzzer to put San Antonio up 43-42 at halftime.
The Hornets, however, opened the second half with a 10-0 run that included 3s by Stojakovic and Morris Peterson, who scored 12 points. Stojakovic's driving floater capped it, giving New Orleans a 52-43 lead.
With Paul spearheading an up-tempo attack, New Orleans kept the pressure on throughout a 36-point third quarter. Paul used heady ball-handling to goad the Spurs into fouls, putting them over the limit with 4:06 left in the period. Meanwhile, Paul and Stojakovic each added another 3, the second putting New Orleans up 70-56.
As the quarter ended, Paul's high dribble on his crowd-pleasing, driving floater gave the Hornets a 78-61 lead heading into the final period.
Then the Hornets, who won Game 1 by 19, used a 10-0 run that included one of Stojakovic's 3s and another driving layup by Paul through traffic to go up 95-76 with just over three minutes left, leading both coaches to go with reserve lineups soon after. (Less) Channel: youtube

To many young fans today, this isn't exactly a historical game - and for good reason. In the context of basketball history, not many regular season games are truly memorable, classic, or historical. But many also become classics in their own right, for records made, or for final meetings. This one has a little mix of everything - including Toronto's largest ever crowd of over 36,000 fans at the Sky Dome. In their previous meeting of the '95-'96 season Michael was the acclaimed "Raptor killer", sinking the Raptors and posting 14 fourth quarter points. In this game, he posts 36 points on 63.6% shooting (14-22) with 15 in the fourth quarter. Amazingly, 13 of his 15 fourth quarter points come in the last 4 minutes and 20 seconds of playing time. These were the games of his post-baseball career (seemingly happened a lot in 95-96) that made you wish his team wasn't as great as it was, just so you could see him continue to light it up all game long. Unfortunately, Michael never did anything that wasn't necessary. The expansion team, Toronto Raptors, face off against Michael Jordan and a Bulls team that went on to win an all time NBA record of 72 regular season wins. But what the 36,131 fans that packed the Sky Dome on this night may not realise, is that they were watching a story filled with subplots unfold upon the hardwood of a basketball court. Michael Jordan. Alvin Robertson. Damon Stoudamire. Chicago Bulls. Toronto Raptors. 72. 8. What people don't realise, though, is that the Raptors that year were actually stacked with talent that could do harm in any league of any era had they have had the correct team chemistry, confidence, and playing time required to do so. Damon Stoudamire was a rookie, who, in my opinion is one of the most underrated PG talents of our generation. In the 95-96 season, he went on to win ROY and set multiple records including a then record 133 3PT FG's for a rookie. He was also chasing second place for most assists by a rookie, on the tail of Oscar Robertson. He went on to post 19.0ppg and 9.3apg (something that the top PGs of the league today fail to do), while setting multiple franchise records for the Toronto Raptors that still stand today, including most assists by a player (19). In this game, he seemed to be having a shoot out with Steve Kerr and Michael Jordan. Damon posted 30 points, 11 assists and went 6-8 from three point land. Then there's the subplot of Michael vs. Robertson. Great friends, old team mates ('84 olympics), and fierce competitors. History has it, that this would be the last time either of the old timers would face off against each other in professional competition (Robertson retired after '96). For those of you who don't know much about Alvin Robertson, he's perhaps one of the greatest perimiter, roaming, and lock down defenders to ever play the game. He's 1st all-time in steals per game, and he has an anticipation that many see players such as Bruce Bowen to have today. It's no coincidence or conspiracy that he was named DPOY in '85-'86. While both players here are far past their athletic and statistical prime (Jordan 33, Alvin 34), they don't fail to impress and excite. Alvin plays Jordan's turnarounds like only few could; they battle hard for position and trash talk each other all night long. It's also notable that Alvin averaged 2.2 steals per game this season, which would've been good enough for first place in 06-07. Of course, Michael was no defensive slouch either ;), coincidentally averaging 2.2spg. With far too much already said... I'll leave the game to unfold. Enjoy. (Less) Channel: youtube

By Theresa Marie Moreau
From the back seat of the gypsy cab, Ming-Chuan "Joseph" Kung watched Beijing blur by. Everything had been pre-arranged. Everything. As the hired driver steered through the streets of the capital city of the People's Republic of China, the seven passengers -- a small delegation of Americans in town for a human rights conference -- rode mostly in silence. Only periodic, superficial chitchat and the heavy breathing of the car's heater broke the stillness of that wintry January 8 in 1994.
Soon, the touristy section stacked with American-style hotels, designed for the comfort of Westerners spoiled by Capitalism, melted into the background. The well-lighted streets and sidewalks packed with people eating, drinking, laughing that Saturday evening gave way to another reality.
Within a span of only a few minutes, a few miles, the cabbie maneuvered through the outer sections of the ancient city that very few foreigners ever get to see -- the native Chinese area ravaged by fanatics fueled with Communist revolutionary ideology. The scenery turned bleak. The streets turned dark. Very few lights. Even fewer people.
In front of a dilapidated apartment building the car rolled to a stop. Even if the mercury hadn't stalled below freezing, fear mixed with a foreboding dread would have chilled the visitors. From the safety of the cab, Kung took a quick look around, over his shoulder and into the shadows. Necessary to look for any sign of a spy -- anyone who could possibly report (for a reward, of course) to officials the appearance of the foreign visitors.
This is not a joke. This is Communism.
Onto the sidewalk, Kung with the Americans stepped and entered the building. The cabbie remained with his coach. With only the dimmest light leaking from unknown sources, the group fumbled forward and found the main staircase. The building had no elevator. Up they climbed, ascending the dark six, seven or eight flights, stepping over the debris, mostly food, that littered the hallways and landings. What looked like Chinese cabbage -- half rotten, half dried, splayed on bare floors -- emanated a distinct, pungent odor. Without refrigeration, the residents needed to resort to archaic preservation through drying.
Finally, the foreigners found the right apartment and knocked.
A woman opened the door and welcomed them inside the main room, no bigger than a walk-in closet. The name of the woman was neither offered nor asked. In Communist China, information is a dangerous possession. Ignorance is encouraged, even among family members -- just in case one is picked up by police and interrogated, for whatever reason. For security's sake, it's definitely better and safer not to know. Remember, this is Communism.
Cramped to begin with, the room had few inches to spare with an impromptu table-turned-altar taking up most of the space. Some of the guests sat. Others stood. Among them were U.S. Rep. Christopher Smith (R-NJ) and Kung, founder of the Cardinal Kung Foundation in honor of his uncle, the late Cardinal Pin-Mei "Ignatius" Kung, Bishop of Shanghai, who suffered persecution in prison for the Faith for 30 years.
All waited for another invited guest: Bishop Zhi-Ming "Jacobus" Su. Minutes passed. Uncomfortable silence settled on the crowd. Finally, another knock.
The woman opened the door and let in Su, Bishop of Baoding, who greeted each of the Americans with a handshake and a humble smile. That night back in 1994 was to be a special night. Special, indeed. It was the first time a bishop from the underground Roman Catholic Church in China would not only meet face to face with a member of the United States Congress, but he would also celebrate the holy Mass for the high-ranking government official, a Roman Catholic.
However, there was one tiny problem. In Communist China, this secret meeting between the bishop and the Americans was (and still would be today) highly illegal -- considered nothing less than a threat to the unity of Chinese society.
Officially, China is an atheist country and permits no religious practice outside government-approved organizations, such as the Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association. Notice the nomenclature: the Chinese, not Roman, Catholic Patriotic Association...

What it was was the loyal officers were the body, the elective body, and they called them the loyal officers and they were there to protect the populations and so forth. And they had elected a fellow by the name of Xenu (Xemu) to the supreme ruler. And they were about to unelect him. And he took the last moments he had in office to really goof the floof.
[Sound of pencil dropping]
Yes, I don't blame you for dropping something. And he took these last moments to really upset it. He of course had several key birds who were close to him. He was a suppressive to end all suppressives. He got these
administrators and so on and heads of planets in various positions and places. He picked off all the cowboys in the white hats, and he got rid of them first fast, and then troops, not knowing what the hell they were doing, but fed all kinds of false orders, were fed in against the population to pick them up, one after the other, tat-atat-tat-atat-tat-a-tat.
One of the mechanisms they used was to tell them to come in for an income tax investigation. And the United States just copies income tax. It's just R6.
They are a bunch of dramatizing psychotics, these guys. So in they went, and the troops started slaughtering them, and then the troops of course were ordered out to get hold of certain bodies of renegade troops which were ordered to get certain bodies of bad troops and they shot each other up and implanted each other and wiped it out. They were making
billiard balls out of these places. They were imported. They were actually ... The trick was to shoot somebody, disable somebody, very often a needle into a lung, and at the same time to hit him with frozen alcohol and glycol, which preparation is guaranteed to pick up a thetan. All
they had to do was pick him up and put him into a refrigerator, and they had him boy. Because if he tried to
exteriorize from the body, there he was frozen. And they threw him into collection points. Boxed them up in boxes, threw them into space planes which are the exact copies - DC8's, the DC8 aeroplane is the exact copy of the space plane of that day. No difference. Except the DC8 had fans,
propellers on it and the space plane didn't.
And they threw them into refrigerated units. And so on. And in view of the fact that Einstein was absolutely right. Man can't go faster than the speed of sound .. speed of light.
Which is a bunch of balderdash. The length of time from the planet Coltus to the planet Teegeeack, which is the name of this planet, was nine weeks, and you'll see that it is many light years. Coitus is one of the planets, and is to this day one of the planets of the North Star. Polaris. And
people were ferried in here by the billions and the billions and the billions and they were ferried in here
with boxes. And they were put in boxes and they were stacked around. And the people who were on this planet already just caught it in the teeth. They weren't bothered. No body bothered to pick them up. They just shot their
administrators from guns, and shot their control points out and they took these people in boxes and so forth and they dumped them and then they set off hydrogen bombs on the top of each primary volcano there is on this particular planet and when they blew up it blew the thetans into the air and
after the bomb an electronic ribbon, which also was a type of standing wave was erected over the area. The tremendous winds of the planet blew every thetan there was straight
into those particular vacuum zones which had been created. These were brought down, packed up, and put in front of a projection machine which with sound and color pictures first gave them the implant which you know as Clearing Course and then a whole track implant which you know as

Application -
These clamps with their rubber-lined jaws have been developed to handle material in slab or sheet form, stacked in racks, without damaging the material's surface. They have a number of advantages over the common clamping devices.
Safety - This new Abaco Lifter has an unbreakable center plate that makes it a lot safer than the old Abaco Lifter.
Size - Compact construction allows for close packed slabs to be lifted out of racks and containers. Lower height slabs can be placed alongside taller slabs with no problems.
Versatile - Ideal for construction work. Because the clamping mechanism is to the front of the slab, it allows panels to be placed close to walls.
Secure - It grips slabs firmly with a force-multiplying factor of approximately 2.7 to 1 compared with the old Abaco Lifter of approximately 2.5 to 1. (Less) Channel: youtube
