Lock On: Modern Air Combat is a popular modern fighter simulation developed by Eagle Dynamics and published by Ubisoft that is widely regarded as one of the most realistic simulators in its class. It contains 8 flyable aircraft and over 30 AI controlled planes. In the game you can either take fighter jets up and use very realistic tactics and radar to find enemies, or fly ground attack jets and attack tanks and buildings. The game models AWACS (also known as AEW&C) and Aerial refueling. Filmed on location at the C.H.E.E.T. Museum with a Canon ZR800. To bypass the difficulty of capturing video from JW's Super Famicom, in-game footage was captured on a MacBook with SnapzProX2 running the Umihara Kawase "T+Eng2.1_ROMHackWorkshop" ROM on ZSNES Mac. Final video was edited together with Final Cut Express 4.
Equipment and location provided by JewWario, filmed and edited by Shuuki, and Razma was our faithful guinea pig for this episode.
This is the first video that we did for the Ludus Challenge, and the only video we did for OGR.
Being the first time we have really used a camera in this way, it's a bit dark. Other videos to come will be brighter.

Wie man sieht versuche ich auch die meisten Münzen und Pilze einzusammeln, auch wenn sie in diesem Spiel keine Relevanz haben (zumindest in diesem ersten Level). Wenn ihr das Spiel selbst spielen wollt, ladet es euch herunter, oben findet ihr 2 Download-Möglichkeiten. Es läuft unter Microsoft Windows XP und vermutlich auch auf anderen Windows-Versionen. -------- [English] This is the small game "Syobon Action" or "Super Cat Action", also referred to as "Cat Mario". It's kind of a sadistic Super Mario clone, as the Nintendo Hard appeal of the original Mario games is taken to it's extreme. However, you have infinite lifes, there is still a life counter, but if you have 0 lives and then lose another one, it will just go to -1 and so forth. ;) This is quite a good thing, because the only chance to finish the levels is to "learn" them, to memorize all those cruel traps hidden in them. When I completed the Level One the first time, I was at -72 lives. ;) However, 2 days after I tried for a "perfect" run of the level, i.e. finishing without losing any life, and recording this on video. After several atempts I finally succeeded and I gladly share this video. As you can see I also try to collect most of the coins and mushrooms, although they don't have any value in this game (at least in this stage). If you want to play this game yourself, you can download it from either of the two locations I specified above. It runs fine on Microsoft Windows XP and propably on other Windows versions as well. Allerdings hat man hier unendlich Leben, es gibt zwar einen Life-Counter, aber wenn man bereits bei 0 Leben ist und dann ein weiteres verliert, wird es nur zu -1 und so weiter. ;) Das ist ziemlich sinnvoll, weil man die Level nur durchpielen kann, wenn man sie auswendig lernt und sich merkt, wo all, die grausamen Fallen versteckt sind. Als ich das Level 1 das erste Mal beendet habe, war ich bei -72 Leben. ;)
Allerdings, 2 Tage später versuchte ich mich an einem "perfect run" des Levels, d.h. es durchzuspielen, ohne auch nur ein Leben zu verlieren, und dies auf Video aufzuzeichnen. Nach mehreren Versuchen ist es mir endlich gelungen, und so lade ich das Video auf YouTube hoch. Wie man sieht versuche ich auch die meisten Münzen und Pilze einzusammeln, auch wenn sie in diesem Spiel keine Relevanz haben (zumindest in diesem ersten Level).

This is the small game "Syobon Action" or "Super Cat Action", also referred to as "Cat Mario". It's kind of a sadistic Super Mario clone, as the Nintendo Hard appeal of the original Mario games is taken to it's extreme.
However, you have infinite lifes, there is still a life counter, but if you have 0 lives and then lose another one, it will just go to -1 and so forth. ;) This is quite a good thing, because the only chance to finish the levels is to "learn" them, to memorize all those cruel traps hidden in them. When I completed the Level One the first time, I was at -72 lives. ;)
However, 2 days after I tried for a "perfect" run of the level, i.e. finishing without losing any life, and recording this on video. After several atempts I finally succeeded and I gladly share this video. As you can see I also try to collect most of the coins and mushrooms, although they don't have any value in this game (at least in this stage).
