While the footage may have been recorded off of a Spanish, overseas version of Cartoon Network, these various promos originated and first aired on the U.S Cartoon Network, and are identical to these versions save for the Spanish voice-overs. The clips which make up this compilation are as follows (in playing order): - Clips 1 & 2: Cartoon Network "shifting checkerboard" station ID's, in which small, cubic pieces of artwork and stills culled from Cartoon Network-related programming (MGM & Pre-'48 Warner Bros. shorts, Hanna-Barbera shows and shorts) make up an on-screen "checkerboard" that constantly shifts its tiles in rhythm with a bouncy tune until it rests in a scrambled order, revealing the old "checkerboard" Cartoon Network logo. Different variations of this ID exist, all of which followed the same "shifting checkerboard" routine and used the same bouncy music number, which in turn was used in many on-air Cartoon Network segments and could be considered as one of it's signature tunes from back then. - Clip 3: A Cartoon Network "animated shifting checkerboard" station ID, which is somewhat similar to the previous two ID's with the shifting checkerboard premise and all. This particular ID however, features stock animation and stills of various MGM/WB/Hanna-Barbera characters making their way inside, outside and through a more complex checkerboard, which also shifts in rhythm to yet another bouncy tune and ends with the checkerboard CN logo. The Spanish voiceover says to "enjoy "Tom & Jerry" on Cartoon Network", though to my memory the U.S Cartoon Network never featured such voiceovers over these ID's. Just as with the first series of "checkerboard" ID's, more than one variant of this ID exist, and they too all followed the same premise and utilized the same bouncy music number. - Clip 4: A short promo for Sunday afternoon airings of "Scooby Doo: Where Are You, done using some of the bumpers the show was utilizing at the time, which also were the first of many bumpers and wrap-arounds the show's had in its long run on Cartoon Network to this day. - Clip 5: Cartoon Network "Sploing, Boing, Bam, Splat!" station ID. Pretty nondescript station ID. - Clips 6 & 7: Bumpers for "2 In a Row" , which seemed to have been a segment or program of some sort in which two shorts or episodes of a Hanna-Barbera show were played back to back. The Spanish voiceover at the end mentions to "tune in to Cartoon Network, home of your favorite cartoon stars!". - Clip 8: A bumper for Turner Broadcasting and Cartoon Network's perennial favorite of a program, "Tom & Jerry", which TO THIS DAY holds the distinction of being the longest-running show on Cartoon Network, having been aired (with few interruptions) since day one on Cartoon Network, October 1, 1992. As far as this bumper itself goes, it is amongst the first of many bumpers and wrap-arounds that this show has had over the last 10+ years, as of 2004 it has no specific bumpers. The Spanish voiceover says: "Aaaaaah, Cartoon Network, everybody's so friendly around here....maybe not, Tom is angry, run Jerry run!". The music used for these particular T&J bumpers and wrap-arounds was a tweaked version of the theme song to the 1975 "Tom & Jerry Show". - Clip 9: An abbreviated clip of a Cartoon Network station ID which shows a tormented Jester being slingshotted by his nostrils to a bat-wielding kid, who promptly bats the Jester into oblivion. The full version of this station ID features that same Jester first entering a packed movie theater which is presumably playing Cartoon Network programming. Upon entering, the jester takes a seat amongst the crowd and watches the presentation when he suddenly begins laughly loudly and uncontrollably from the programming. The Jester is then promptly grabbed by his throat by what seems to be a security guard, who yanks the Jester out of the theater. The guard then slingshots the Jester out of the theater via the back alley, when he suddenly gets batted away by a random bat-wielding kid. - Clips 10 & 11: Two bumpers for "Super Chunk", the long-running Saturday afternoon block which aired 3-hour marathons of many of Cartoon Network's original and acquired shows, with trivia questions related to the respective shows interspersed throughout the marathons. The first incarnation of "Super Chunk" (1992-1997) was remembered for it's bumpers featuring an obese, dimwitted kid who wore an "SC" (Super Chunk) T-shirt, excitedly jumping about while saying phrases such as "SUPER CHUNK!" or "Gimme more!". He also had a tendency of falling through the screen due to his hefty weight. :) Credit goes to an unknown user from "Google Video" for this compilation clip. Enjoy! (Less) Channel: youtube

Description: DISH Network is a direct broadcast satellite (DBS) service that provides satellite television, audio programming, and interactive television services to households and businesses in the United States, (More) DISH Network is a direct broadcast satellite (DBS) service that provides satellite television, audio programming, and interactive television services to households and businesses in the United States, owned by parent company DISH Network Corporation. DISH Network was launched in March 1996, and, along with DirecTV, primarily competes with cable television providers throughout the United States. They have registered as a Nevada corporation. The corporate office is based at Meridian, Colorado, though the postal designation of nearby Englewood is commonly listed as the company's location in corporate filings and news accounts.
EchoStar was formed in 1980 by its Chairman and CEO Charles W. Ergen as a distributor of TV systems.
On December 28, 1995 EchoStar successfully launched its first satellite, EchoStar I. The launch of Echostar I was a gamble in that it was one of the first successful commercial launches from China after a series of spectacular failures. That same year, EchoStar established the DISH Network brand name to market its home satellite TV system. The company used "DISH" as an acronym for Digital Sky Highway.
In 2003, DISH Network began providing in-flight satellite TV service to the U.S. airline Song. In 2004, selected music channels from Sirius Satellite Radio were added to DISH Network's lineup of audio-only channels that already include Muzak audio services for both households and businesses.
DISH Network was also partnered with Starband to deliver broadband satellite Internet service along with its television service. The partnership ended in 2003. Currently, DISH Network has partnership agreements with a number of local telephone providers to cross-market DSL and DISH Network services. In June 2006, Dish Network signed an agreement to partner with WildBlue to deliver broadband via satellite. The service is available only in selected rural areas due to limited capacity, and requires a separate two way dish antenna.
On January 4, 2006 EchoStar announced that DISH Network surpassed 12 million paid subscribers. In the last five years, DISH Network added more than 6.74 million net new customers, more than all other satellite TV and cable companies during the same period. As of February 2007, DISH Network reported reaching the 13 million customer mark, and is hoping to reach 14 million by the end of 2008.
Each month, DISH Network broadcasts a show titled Charlie Chat, which features news about upcoming hardware, programming events, and new channels. Company CEO Charlie Ergen and Jim De Franco host the show and take questions from e-mail and live callers. On March 13, 2006 a special 90-minute edition of "Charlie Chats" aired at 9 p.m. (Eastern time) to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the launch of the DISH Network to its customers.
Recently, DISH Network has started to provide Internet access to compete with cable companies.
Since its launch in 1996, 30 million viewers in 12 million households have subscribed at some point in time to DISH Network programming.
Dish Network Broadcast technology
While for years DISH Network has used standard MPEG-2 for broadcasting, the addition of bandwidth-intensive HDTV in a limited-bandwidth world has called for a change to an H.264/MPEG4 AVC system. DISH Network announced as of 1 February 2006, that all new HDTV channels would be available in H.264 format only, while maintaining the current lineup as MPEG-2. DISH Network intends to eventually convert the entire platform to H.264 in order to provide more channels to subscribers.
Both a standard receiver and a receiver with built-in DVR (Digital Video Recorder) are available to subscribers. The DISH Network ViP722 HD DVR, replacement to the ViP622, has received great reviews from CNET and others. Both a standard receiver and a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) are available to subscribers for an upgrade fee. Currently DISH Network charges $5.98 per DVR as DVR service fee, which covers cost of licensing EPG(Extended Program Guide) from TV Guide.
Problems with DISH Network
In 2004, DISH Network settled a $5 million lawsuit, having been accused of misleading consumers, and a TV network in Wisconsin investigated numerous reports of complaints from customers in the same year.
Dish Network Controversies
There recently have been accusations that Dish Network has homophobic business practices, as they refuse to add any LGBT programing to their line up, such as the Logo channel and Here! (which are carried by DirecTV and most major cable companies). Dish also apparently backed out of a contract with GTN (Gay Television Network) to carry the channel. (Less) Channel: youtube

This was a personal favorite of the brothers themselves. The show won telly awards for best children's programming, best educational show, and most entertaining.
This episode was from the first year of the Good News Network and really set the standard for the brothers' muppet show like variety series. The Good News Network ran for 4 years and always had a strong character building message. The show was more entertaining then Seasame Street so families enjoyed watching it... The series ended its run but then branched off into Variety specials that were more Christian in nature.
The Chrisagis Brothers (Brian & Shawn) are licensed ministers and founders of the Chrisagis Brothers Ministries and the popular Good News Gang children's ministry, are still sharing their powerful testimony and are ministering fulltime to all ages at churches, conferences, and seminars worldwide.
Sixteen of the brothers' Good News Gang characters have been manufactured as dolls, each with a different story teaching a character building skill. In 2006 the twins released a children's book entitled "Mad-Cap Kingdom" with 14 stories along with two new toy lines, The Smokey Mountain Pals and The Rockhounds. During the summer of 2007 the brothers branched out into another media - radio with their own hour long segment on WKKX, AM1600 "Chrisagis Mania". The radio show and the radio station hit number one in the entire area. In late summer the twins were asked to help co-host an internet radio show Humbleoradio with Marty Daniels and the show became a success.
Presently the Brothers are starring in their own weekly Variety Series entitled "The Chrisagis Brothers & Friends". The Variety Show is cutting edge and is a mix of Carol Burnett, Saturday Night Live, & Mike Douglas. It is a landmark in ground breaking shows for Christian TV and the twins get to show their comical side. They are also working on bringing their talk radio show to TV in 2009.
The twins have appeared on TV, radio, and in Christian magazines all over the world. The Good News Gang Variety Series, which they wrote for the Sky-Angel TV Network, is currently running on KTV, the largest Christian Children's Network in the world. They hosted and wrote for Candid Camera, and have worked with several well-known celebrities from Hollywood such as Erik Estrada, Jack Scalia, Jennifer O'Neill, Lee Horsley, Lucky Vanous, Suzanne Summers, Peter Funt, Fred Travalena, Charles Wahlheim, Brett Baxter Clark, Kathy Troccoli, and Jo Ann Pflug to name a few.
