The song is called That Calls for a Wilhelm Scream and is performed by the band called Possible Oscar. Wilhelm Scream is a great thing: You can hear it in many films, cartoons and some videogames too!
The Lyrics:
The legend starts in 1951
When we listened to the sound of the Distant Drums
Met his maker in the jaws of an alligator
There were six screams taken but one proved to be greater
Than the rest so let's fast forward a bit to the Feather River
And meet a young private with the lungs that could deliver
The kind of cry that only girls vocalize
He unleashed a mighty scream as his thigh was incised
Ben Burtt, perhaps you may have heard of him
He noticed a certain sound emanating from a bunch of films
Decided it was perfect for a film that he made
So he lifted it and placed it in The Scarlet Blade
From that point a sonic signature formed
One that Ben used fairly often in his sound design chores
To this very day if you happen by his edit bay
And you listen very closely you can hear him say
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
Scream a little louder, gotta make a big scene
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
Scream it to the heavens so they know what you mean
Over the years the scream has made many appearances
It sounded out in Warner Brothers films for 20 years and then
The aforementioned Ben created sounds for Star Wars
Take four began to show up in movies galore
A stormtrooper stumbled into a shaft because Luke shot him
Another was chucked into the freezing chamber by Chewbacca
Crocodiles enjoyed the Thuggees Indy knocked from the bridge
Jabba lost a bunch of henchmen in the Sarlac Pit
Mr. Pink smacked some people in the street
Buzz Lightyear met a lamp and tumbled head over feet
The Caped Crusader punched a clown a tossed him clear out the frame
Grenades exploded in The Last Crusade
There's numerous other scenes featuring violence and tension
Young Indiana Jones has too many Wilhelms to mention
I bet the sound designers meet near to here
To figure out which films will get the scream this year
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
Scream a little louder, gotta make a big scene
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
Scream it like your lacking proper oral hygiene
Now don't believe that the scream can only used on the screen
You can use it wherever you see a need
Got a problem that should probably have the proper punctuation?
Try a Wilhelm, it can emphasize any bad situation
That big jerk from accounting just stole your promotion
Your dinghy's leaking in the middle of the ocean
That eBay idiot gave you negative feedback
And the money you gave that bum was converted to crack
The lid can't be extracted from your Jell-o pudding cup
It's hard to surf for porn efficiently stuck on dial-up
All you need is a knife but there's 10,000 spoons
They're making a Michael Bay film of your favorite cartoon
The Spanish Inquisition tries to burn you at the stake
Cavity Creeps gave you a toothache
The enemy force is just outside your archer's range
That cell phone soccer mom didn't signal her lane change
Gotta pee but the urinal's unflushed
You find yourself in outer space lacking the right stuff
Frequent visits to the store net you nary a chase figure
You didn't remember to TiVo the Heroes finale now, did you?
Invaders from space leveled all the major cities
There's no more freakin' milk for your bowl of Cocoa Krispies
Whenever it seems you've been given raw deal
It's time to scream it like you mean it, let 'em know how you feel
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
Scream a little louder, gotta make a big scene
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
Scream it like the doctors finally found a vaccine
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
Scream a little louder, gotta make a big scene
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
That calls for a Wilhelm Scream
Scream it like you found out she was only sixteen (Less) Channel: youtube

That "Jonathan" (More) A True video game scene. For those of you looking for action HERE IT IS!
The wedding waltz/ grand finale combo!
Plus this is a classic damsel in distress scene.
That "Jonathan" hehehheheh. That's my brother. Although my brother is adamant when it comes to putting me and video games together he wanted a role in this story. So I gave him one. He's one of those tough talking marines but although his role right now doesn't sound like much he's actually needed in the next scene. So he is an important character. By the way...he is kind of like this in real life. But then again the main character is me in real life too. Yeah we fight...we bicker...we do all the brotherly crap.
Fallacy with design: I understand my brother is one of those gunners and if there was a way to erase the guns it would look more reasonable but this design had the best resemblance of him and his attitude. All other designs were meleers in armor or mages in robes and such. (Heck one of the white mages is a nun.)
Music Notes: It took a while to figure out how to get background music to carry on to a battle. Here's how because I'm sure we all want to replicate a Wedding Waltz/Grand Finale or Bombing run/Still more fighting scene don't we all? You set the music to carry on as a BGS or Background sound effect. These are usually used for simulating rainfall and thunderclapping. Before hand you must program the BGM to fade. Make it like a 1 second fade out so that it's not noticeable. And if you wanted only the boss battle to use the fanfare disable the fanfare and program the fanfare to play for the boss battle only as a "End Battle ME" NOT as a typical ME. At first I assumed it was supposed to be a Music effect (Which are for fanfares and such.) but music effects do not loop. After a boss battle is finished make sure you reset your original BGM or program a different one or you might get a BGM that was playing in another map. (See how much of this I discovered on my own? I'm such a genius.) It took a lot of tweaking to set up the music to work properly. But I was more than satisfied when it came out correctly. I spent a lot of effort on this scene. The Second MIDI variation is here! It's "The Decisive Battle" From Final Fantasy 6. Why am I using this? I could've just recorded a long duration from my GBA's music player? Here's why: "Personal Opinion" The original decisive battle is one of the lesser battle themes because the most apparent feature is the "baroque" style bass line you hear. Plus most of the song is in minor. So it's not as emotionally stirring as most boss battle themes. So I did a little research on the MIDI versions because they sound slightly different. I figured this is better because you hear those oh-so-important violins. However I had to edit the track myself and with music editing percussion is your worst enemy. I tried my best but the percussion was jumping at the beginning of each loop too soon...but it's not that bad.
Developer Notes: This scene was all about the music manipulation. But I also needed a reason for the audience to enjoy a good duration of the music so I came up with a dumb ass idea to stall the characters via use of a forced maze. It's a one way maze. But it's unbreakable. Thereby forcing you to navigate it the way it is. I know it's a stupid idea but what the heck.
Final words:
If there was a way I could've programmed Vargas to attack twice like a Final Fantasy 3 boss this would've been more interesting but couldn't see any way to alter the battle programming. It sounds like something I would've had to use the script editor to change but I'm not skilled in C++ enough to mess with the backbone driving CPU of the game's central logic program unit. Or in other words the language telling how this game is supposed to run under default circumstances. Lol. That's my problem. I know words I'm not supposed to know unless I know others associated with them. I sound like I know everything but in reality I do not. (Less) Channel: youtube

For the "real" bad guy dramatic dialog I changed the text so you could also see the bad guys so it was look more dramatic. I personally think that line, "Organisms? We are human just like you" Really struck me in the heart. Also the line "Your video games blind you too much to know what real fun is..." probably not only says a lot about me but also about all videogame players. While we are enjoying our little fantasies and having a good time all kinds of bad things are happening out in the real world. I stop and say everyday "I was playing so and so what the fuck were you doing you idiot!" Creepy eh?
For those of you who don't really understand how the heroic journey works Amy literally spells it out for all you before the main character goes to the piano and gives that rhyme.
Music Notes: Kefka's theme is used to simulate my mind not the antagonists. Because I'm so crazy I'm fucking around with the bad guys. Understand? Lol. That strange sound effect is the only preprogrammed feature in the game's database that you hear in the game. It's a "gag" sound effect. In the darkest of times, in the face of death, in the presence of evil I still can't be serious. It's just how I am people; it's just how I am...lol. I then swapped for something really evil and dramatic.
Something I've wanted to ask: The piano lesson 7 for FF 5. Doesn't that sound like something from Tetris? Am I right? Or am I not? I swear it does...
Developer's notes:
As you can see this so called game was straightforward with no backtracking and all bosses were done with predetermined and preengineered stats. I designed it that way intentionally. Because I wanted more action as the story progressed. I also wanted those so called "items" for the main character to actually be items that were usable like Antarctic winds, bomb fragments and such from final fantasy but there was a problem. There was no way to set the "items" to be used with intelligence being a factor for damage. In others words the damage would've been static for anyone using it. So I made it into part of the skill list and programmed it to work like magic but swapped the animation so viewers would understand it's an item use not a magic spell.
Final Words: This was a lot of fun. Not just for the assignment's sake for the college course but this was just as fun as playing a video game itself. I encourage people who have written stories and such to try this stuff out. It's worth your time. After all how can you envision that blank text on that paperback? (I told you people the main character is me!)
However there are some capabilities you need to have.
1. You need to understand "Logic Programming" not C++ but that helps with understanding what you are doing. If however you going to rape the script editor in some unimaginable way you need to know how to do modular programming like understanding how to manipulate and control "objects" and "classes". I have not reached that knowledge yet in the computer science class I am currently in and I didn't want to wait for it even though it was in the courses curriculum because it would've been too late to start on this project since this project wasn't for a computer science class in the first place.
2. You are going to have patience and lots of it. I wasted the first eight days of the trial version of this program to understand it.
3. Experience I'm afraid...is a major factor. I mean... I've been through 12 final fantasies. (Excluding PS2 ones I never got a playstation 2) Something had to give sooner or later, people. But final fantasy isn't the only rpg series out there. There are others I haven't played yet I've heard of. Stuff like Star Ocean, Valkyrie Profile, Suikoden, chrono trigger and chrono cross, etc...reason experience being a major factor is because you need to know what happens in a game and know what you want to happen when you try to figure out how to "make that happen".
Well that's about it. A sequel and trilogy is coming but since it's not going to be for the course or any college related course it won't be on high priority. I used up a lot of final fantasy music here. So for the next two pieces I'll mix it up with other games. (Less) Channel: youtube
