Un jour, elle reçoit une lettre accompagnée d'un CD, celui d'Eminem bien évidemment et son titre Stan, pour lequel il a samplé Thank you. « Lorsque j'ai écouté le CD, je me suis sentie emportée, envolée. J'aimais déjà ce qu'il faisait, mais là il y avait quelque chose d'un peu différent, plus beau ». Cependant, il faut se garder d'attribuer le succès de l'enfant de Londres à ce seul coup de chance. Avant même la sortie de Stan, Dido, qui n'a pas ménagé ses efforts de scène sur le sol américain, avait déjà vendu 1 million d'albums, également grâce au choix de Here With Me en tant que générique de la célèbre série Roswell. <br /> <br />Paradoxalement, c'est peut-être au Royaume-Uni que « l'effet Eminem » a été le plus favorable : c'est bien souvent grâce à Stan que les Britanniques ont découvert l'artiste compositrice expatriée. Beaucoup ont accusé Dido de plagier le style de Sinead O'Connor ou Sarah McLachlan. Mais Dido, si elle se dit flattée d'être comparée à de tels artistes, explique bien autrement son succès : par la liberté de création, si rare, dans laquelle elle se trouvait étant donné que son style n'était a priori pas très à la mode. <br /> <br />Quand le vent a tourné, et qu'il a fallu songer à un second album, elle n'a pas eu besoin de demander cette liberté. « Va vers l'avant, plus loin, sans te soucier de faire comme la dernière fois » lui dit Arista. « Dis-nous simplement quand tu penses avoir fini ». Dido, elle, est aux anges : « Dans mon esprit, je serai toujours celle qui arrive de l'arrière, de l'inconnu, et il semble que cela me porte chance ». C'est ainsi qu'à la fin de l'été 2003, Life for Rent est dans les bacs. Fortement empreint du style de No Angel, ce second opus n'a pas souffert du Syndrome du Difficile Deuxième Album. Si on y reconnaît immédiatement la voix cristalline et envoûtante de Dido, il est néanmoins plus travaillé musicalement, les arrangements se fondent, l'atmosphère est plus intimiste et chaleureuse. Les influences sont troublantes, depuis Ella Fitzgerald jusqu'aux rockers The Clash. Les titres sont sortis uns à uns en singles, "White Flag" le premier extrait contient une chanson inédite "Paris". Puis les singles s'enchaines, viendra ensuite le morceau "Life For Rent" (qui reprend justement le titre phare de l'album), "Don't Leave Home" (chanson que Dido a composé après avoir sorti No Angel mais avant que l'album gagne en succès ; ici le morceau recoit une instrumentation beaucoup plus riche et plus rapide que l'ancienne version que Dido chantait en bonus sur scène en 2001) et jusqu'au très estival "Sand in My Shoes" en août 2004, histoire de rappeller les souvenirs des vacances. Durant plus d'un an, elle va enchaîner les concerts, se découvrir des fans insoupçonnés au Japon, en Europe de l'Est, bref dans la quasi totalité du monde. Les prix pleuvent de toutes part, les airs déferlent sur les radios du monde entier. En février 2005 les chiffres des ventes d'albums tombent, Life for Rent s'est vendu (actuellement) à + de 8 millions d'exemplaires à travers le monde. Yes, there have been minor gender bending in the past, such as Rex Nebula. He got to change his sex at one point, but then the idiot changed back! And of course, there's the character in Final Fantasy VII on the PSOne. He donned a feminine disguise to get past some bad guys. But as soon as he's past them, it's back to being a guy! I'm talking about a full blown (well, until Larry wimps out) MTF TRANSSEXUAL here!
For those that haven't played the game, there's the set up. Larry is the nephew of the original. He's in his 7th year at a community college (and still a Freshman). The game picks up as a TV (no pun) dating show comes to campus. In order to get on the show, Larry has to prove that he's been in "contact" with several girls.
Towards the end of the game, he meets a girl that claims to be a French co-ed. At one point, she tells him all about how she's really from North Dakota, but had to make some serious life changes. At first, we're led to believe that she's only talking about her French art snob act (no offense intended to the French or art lovers. It's the way that her character is. Play it and you'll see). Finally, Larry gets a chance to prove his manhood to her. That's when we see this clip.
For those that think there may be a less transgendered meaning to this clip, let me share these spoilers with you. You can buy adult modes as you go along. All of the girls are covered between these six modes, EXCEPT Koko (modes 5 & 6 are bought from the Porn Fairy after you finish the game).
There is also an Everybody Nude mode that you can buy from Uncle Larry (again, AFTER you finish the game). This makes all of the women in Larry's life nude (there's still that stupid "censored" tag over them in the U.S., at least on the PS2. The tag only appears below the belt). Koko is still fully clothed (DRAT!). Also, listen closely to Koko's voice at the end of the clip. The actress is trying to use a deeper, manlier voice (having a bass toned man would have been funnier, albeit more obvious).
I'm not going to say that this is the best game that I ever played, but even though I finished it, I'm keeping it. Usually, I sell games before I finish them (I'm not big on thumb work out games like this). I do recommend it to people with a "unique" sense of humor, though. It's got something for everyone, man, woman, gay, tranny, or straight.

MAIS SOBRE TATJNA SIMIC:
Esta mulher é um fenômeno na Europa! E não apenas por sua música, mas também por seus outros (óbvios) atributos.
Vejam que incrível! Tatjana Simic nasceu na cidade de Zagreb, Croácia (ex-Iugoslávia), em 9 de Junho de 1963. Em 1979, ela, sua mãe e sua irmã decidiram começar uma nova vida em Rotterdam, Holanda. Mais tarde, Tatjana participou de um concurso de modelos em sua cidade e, claro, ganhou! O prêmio era uma viagem de 8 dias à Espanha, onde ela faria seu primeiro "book". Precisa dizer mais?
A partir daí, ela nunca mais parou! Tatjana começou a se tornar mais e mais famosa na Holanda, trabalhando para importantes agências de modelo holandesas e participando de inúmeros comerciais de TV. Um destes comerciais chamou a atenção do produtor Dick Maas, que estava procurando uma jovem e elegante atriz para um papel em um de seus filmes. A personagem tinha sido criada com Tatjana em mente e deu tão certo que o filme rendeu mais duas sequências bem sucedidas.
Mais nem só de moda vive Tatjana. Seu interesse pela música e pela dança eram enormes e agora, depois da fama, tudo era mais fácil! Durante vários anos, ela tomou lições de canto e dança para, mais tarde (1987), lançar seu primeiro single: "Baby Love". Foi o bastante para que ela se tornasse também uma cantora de sucesso na Europa.
Em 1994, Tatjana lança seu primeiro "calendário" (ela nua, é claro!). O calendário foi um verdadeiro estouro, tanto que a marca de cervejas Bavaria (holandesa) lançou uma campanha na passagem de 1995/96 em que todos aqueles que comprassem 36 garrafas da cerveja ganhariam um calendário. Era bem difícil achar a cerveja Bavaria naqueles tempos...
Ainda em 1995, temos o lançamento de outro single da carreira musical da beldade: "Santa Maria", que fez um estrondoso sucesso, não só na Europa, mas também no resto do mundo (inclusive no Brasil. Tocava direto no rádio, entre 95/96). Suas músicas tem incrível apelo Dance e seus vocais são muito bonitos. Mais tarde, em 97, ela repete a dose com "Calendar Girl". E, por fim, uma cover de "Can't Take my Eyes of You" (quem nunca fez uma cover desta música?)
Hoje, Tatjana continua sua carreira de sucesso (mais na Europa), tanto como cantora quanto como modelo. Ela é uma das maiores celebridades em sua nativa Croácia e está sempre envolvida com campanhas e arrecadações em prol das vítimas da guerra civil em seu país.
TRIVIA:
- Tatjana é uma espécie de Pamela Anderson, na Europa.
- Em 1995, foi lançado uma coletânea pelo selo Paradoxx chamada "TV Dance". Este CD tinha uma faixa em CD-ROM que era o clip da música "Santa Maria". I remembered that Bob Ross once did a B&W gesso painting, coloring it with oil (More) I bought an interesting interlocking 11x14 black frame that was begging for a black & white drawing or painting. I remembered that Bob Ross once did a B&W gesso painting, coloring it with oil glazes. So, as a tribute to Bob Ross, I decided to use that technique (minus the oil glazes) to achieve my goals. Starting with a black gesso canvas, papertoweling in a white gesso background, then painting in the mid and foreground landscape in mixtures of the two gessos. Since the background works from light to dark at the edges, work the color of each tree dark to light so it will stand out against the background. The foreground vegetation is simple done with an old 1 inch brush, dabbing it. This style of painting is REALLY FAST, hense the very short timelapse video.... probably could have shot this in real time, I did not time it, but seemed like only about 10-20 minutes to finish it (23 minutes actual) and this technique could be used with ANY sized canvas.. stretched or panel, even multiple panels. You could do a livingroom-size painting in an hour or two. TRY IT YOURSELF...IT'S EASY, AND VERY REWARDING!!!!
It was time-lapsed using a Sony TRV25 in INTERVAL mode (1/2 second every 30 seconds).

3. Regular sims also have the ability to sleep in coffins (random fact).
4. Biting a victim will NOT improve the vampire's hunger (there is a hack for that at modthesims2.com, though).
5. THE REASON MY VAMPIRE'S SKIN DOESN'T TURN INTO THE DEFAULT VAMPIRE SKIN is because I have a mod that allows a sim to keep thier original skin upon turning into a vampire. The mod is by Squinge, and I got it at InSiminator.com. HOWEVER, Squinge has since left InSiminator, and has had all his mods taken down. I am not aware that his downloads are available anywhere else. EDIT: yes, his mods ARE in fact still available, but they're not supported, so they may not work with certain expansions unless somebody updates them.

6. You can also influence a vampire to bite another sim. You don't even need to be friends with the vampire; just have enough influence points to be able to influence to bite the selected sim.
7. You can also influence a vampire to drink the Vamprocilan-D. Simply buy the potion from the matchmaker, and when the selected vampire is around, take the potion out of your inventory and put it on the ground. Then, influence the vampire to drink it.
8. A Vampire's needs can actually go down depending on what activities and actions he/she is doing. For example, working out will still lower a vampire's comfort, hygiene, and energy.
9. If you invite vampires over as guests, you don't have to worry about them staying for too long and getting burned up. Vampires, if not already engaged in an activity, are programmed to leave at 6AM.
10. You can also use boolprop to instantly get a vampire. In neighborhood mode, just call up the cheat box (ctrl+shift+c) and type in "boolProp testingCheatsenabled true" (you don't need the capital letters, just spell it right). Then enter the lot where the sim you want changed into a vampire lives. Shift-click on him/her, and look through the options until you find "Make Vampire" or somthing like that. KEEP IN MIND, using boolprop to get a vampire will set him/her to the default vampire skin and eyes, regardless of any hacks you have to prevent this from happening.

If you're 45 or above, his attacks do crap damage. At level 40 (in the video), one hit from his blue lazer takes off half HP. Anyways, I really wish I could have put more words on the still screens, I had to shorten up some parts that could have used a little more info. For example, I say not to attack Xigbar while he's charging the blue lazer, yet in the video, it does. It really means, don't try to combo him, if you can pull off one hit, go for it (be fast). I also wanted to mention that while using Warp Snipe, Xigbar still tries to shoot towards you, so his red lazers can still hit you after you've just stopped the Reaction Command.
