CHAPTER 45
(They arrive at the restaurant and the waiter takes them to their seats. It's outside on the patio with mood lighting and a soft, "mood" music playing in the back.)
Kerry: Oh wow. How did you-
Joe: We have our ways.
Kerry: It's beautiful!
Joe: And you being here makes it all the more beautiful.
Kerry: (she giggles) That was so cheesy, but so cute. (she kisses his cheek)
Joe: Shall we sit?
Kerry: (she laughs again) Sure. (Joe pulls out the chair for her and she sits down.)
Nick: Ready to sit?
Lana: Of course.
Kevin: Briana? (she was still in awe of the whole place and totally out of it) Briana?
Briana: (finally came back to reality) Yes?
Kevin: Wanna sit?
Briana: Oh, yeah. Sorry.
Kevin: It's fine.
(They sit down and start to eat their amazing meal. They laughed, talked, and joked around the whole night. Just as the sun was beginning to set, they got up to leave, the boys saying they had to "take them somewhere before it was gone." The girls were confused but put all their trust in the boys and followed them back to the limo. In the limo, the boys put blindfolds on the girls, saying that they had a surprise that they didn't want ruined. The boys each took the girls to a separate place at the "secret place." [A.N So you know what that means... PARTS! Hah. Not as many though, I'll try to fit 2 into one.]. First with Nick and Lana. To Nick, the perfect place to watch the sunset with someone was on the beach. So Nick guided Lana through the park before finally coming to rest on the beach. He walked her about halfway down the beach before finally taking off her blindfold. She looked up at the amazing view of the sunset and looked at Nick. He could see tears welling up in her eyes and immediately thought he did something wrong.)
Lana: No, no, its not you. Well, it kinda is.
Nick: (worried) Did... I do something... wrong?
Lana: Oh my gosh no. I love it. That's why I'm crying. It's just so... amazing.
Nick: Oh, you had me really worried there for a second.
Lana: Sorry... (she walked up to him and gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek)
Nick: You ok?
Lana: Yeah... (she sat down on the sand)
Nick: What is it?
Lana: I don't know... Caroline told you about my ex-boyfriend right?
Nick: The one that cheated on you? Yeah.
Lana: Well... he always took me to beaches... and the night that I found out he was cheating on me, was just like this. (looks up at Nick)
Nick: Oh...
Lana: Yeah... I'm sorry to be all down and stuff but-
Nick: No, I understand, and I can assure you one thing for sure.

The boys had to go to Kiss FM for a couple hours, so the girls followed them there. It was so funny listening to the interviews. Of course, the girls got asked questions too.
"We are just friends. We did a little dancing for them and we are in LA to audition for dancing jobs", Ali explained to the DJ. They left the studio about and hour and a half later. They went to eat and headed back to the hotel. The girls gave their boyfriends a goodbye kiss and went to see if their mom was ready to leave. When they reached her room, they found her talking on the phone. They thought nothing of it and walked to their room. They packed up their stuff and left to the car. Their mom followed behind them. They pretty much slept the whole way back to Reno. When they got home, their mom left. She had barley spoken. The girls each retired to their rooms and fell asleep. Ali woke up early the next morning to the sound of men talking in her living room. She walked out into the living room. Her whole house was being packed up. She found her mom in the kitchen having a glass of wine.
"Mom, what is going on", Ali asked her mom. She wasn't sure of she wanted to know the answer.
"We have to move", Jessica said. Ali looked at her. She wondered what her mom was talking about. Why did they have to move? Ali walked into her sister's room and woke up Lindsey and Sam. She shook them awake.
"Ali, what?", Sam said.
"Mom has gone crazy", Ali said. Sam jumped up and went to fine her mom. She saw the men in the living packing up all their stuff.
"Mom, what the hell?", Sam said.
"We have to move?", Jessica said.
"Why?", Ali said.
"Because you guys got the job. Now go pack up your rooms, we need to be there by tomorrow morning", Jessica said. She smiled at the girls. All three of them ran up and hugged her. They were moving to LA. Their minds were all over the place while they packed up their rooms. All together the day took 5 hours. Their mom was still packing when the moving men came and took their beds. They laid down on the floor in Sam's room.
"Can you believe this", Ali said.
"I know and we are touring with her", Sam said.
"I should call my sisters", Lindsey said. She walked into Ali's empty room. Sam and Ali watched her leave. They weren't that worried about her. With this job she would be able to take custody of them after they got back from the tour. Ali sat up and grabbed her phone.
"Nick?", Ali said. She heard a bunch of laughing in the background.
"Oh hey", Nick said.
"What's up?", Ali asked.
"Nothing. Just hanging out with my brothers", Nick said.
"Oh. I'll make this quick", Ali said. She heard Frankie telling Nick to get off the phone.
"What's Up? You don't have to rush", Nick said. He was happy to hear from her.
"I'm moving to LA", Ali said so casual.
"What?", Nick said.
"What I just said. I know you heard me", Ali said.
"You're kidding right", Nick asked.
"No. Is that a bad thing?", Ali said.
"It's the best thing that could ever happen", Nick said. He was so happy. Not only for himself, but for her. She told them about the job and obviously couldn't avoid talking about who they were working for any longer.
"Well, it's Miley", Ali said.
"Oh", Nick said.
"That's not a problem, right?", Ali said.
"No. Definitely not", Nick said. Ali could hear Frankie in the background.
"Hey, I'll call you later", Ali said.
"Bye", Nick said. She could hear Frankie attack him before the phone hung up. She smiled to herself. Lindsey rejoined them after awhile. About thirty minutes later their mom walked into the room. They grabbed their last bags and loaded into Sam's car. They drove away from their home, from Nevada. They drove down the highways knowing they weren't going to miss any part of this city. They had bigger and better things to look forward to. They joked and listened to music for the whole eight hours. It was about 12:00 at night when they reached LA. Ali and Lindsey leaned their head out the window, they were so happy. When they reached the hotel that they were staying the night at, their mom told them what was going to happen.
"Ok girls, you have practice tomorrow at 10:00 AM, so get to bed. I am going to look for a house tomorrow and I promise I will get one", Jessica said. Ali laid down on her bed, but Sam called Joe.
"Hello", Joe said. Sam laughed when she heard how sleepy his voice sounded.
"Hey love", Sam said. She heard him shift in his bed.
"Sam it's like 12AM", Joe said.
"You told me to call you when I got here", Sam said.
"Where are you staying?", Joe said. Sam told him where. She heard him wake up Kevin.
"Ok, I'll be there soon", Joe said. They hung up the phone. She laid her head against her pillow and somehow fell asleep. She woke up when she heard a knock on the hotel door. She smiled to herself before she got up to answer the door for him and his brothers.

Chapter 41-
Ali was sitting in the big bathroom. The show was over and she had been in there for the full hour and a half. She knew she had hurt Nick as much as he had hurt her. It was what she was going for, but now that had done it she wasn't sure if it was what she wanted. She sulked in the corner when she heard the door open. No one knew exactly where she was, so maybe it was time that she got up and went and joined the others, even if she didn't want to see Nick. She got up and walked towards the door with her head down when she bumped into someone. She looked up and there he was. His beautiful face had a sad look on it. She couldn't stand to look him in the eyes.
"How did you know I was in here", Ali asked. There were other bathrooms in the venue. Everyone used this on to practice.
"I had a feeling. This is where you come to avoid me", Nick said. Ali looked back up at him.
"I can't be in the same room with you because all I think about is what it used to be like between us", Ali said. She walked over and sat against the bathroom wall again. Nick followed her and sunk down next to her. He put an arm around her, while she turned her face into his chest and finally broke down. After awhile she realized she was crying over Nick Jonas again, but did she really care. She wiped away her tears.
"I'm sorry. I really shouldn't be loading this one you", Ali said. She wiggled out of Nick's arm only for him to scoot closer and put his arm back where it was.
"I don't mind. I want it to be like this again", Nick said. He put his index and middle finger under Ali's chin and brought her eyes back to facing him.
"Nick, why? How do you know when I leave that you won't start thinking like you did before", Ali asked.
"Because I know what it's like to live without you and..", he said, but Ali cut him off.
"And what about Demi?", she asked. She thought to her self, I bet he hadn't factored her in.
"We called it quits last night", Nick said. Ali was quiet for a long time. She really hoped that Demi didn't hate her.
"I don't want to get my heart broken again Nick", she looked over at him. He was staring her dead in the eyes. She could see all the pain she was causing him and her eyes began to water. She blinked and a tear fell Nick wiped it away and leaned in towards her. He took her face in both of his hands, he knew he had to do something to make things right and kissing her wouldn't be enough. He pretty much spilled his heart to her instead.
"Ali, I only did it for you. You deserve so much better then me. I know I can be good to you, but I am not good for you. But as much as I am not good for you, you are worse off without me. These past few days have showed me how much I have really hurt you and it hurts me. I know I won't think like that again because as unreal as this sounds I was miserable too. I don't know what else to say, but I'm sorry. I never meant for it to get this bad", Nick said.
Ali's tears were coming a lot faster. She leaned her head in to Nick's chest again and let her tears flow. Finally Ali looked up at Nick, she knew she couldn't let him go, nor did she want to. Nick could feel hers eyes on him, so he turned his head. He stared back into the eyes that he had missed so long. Neither of them spoke, they knew what each other was thinking. Ali leaned in and Nick slightly put his hand on the back of Ali's neck. Their lips meant and it was as if everything was back to normal. Without saying a word they knew that they were back together and it wasn't going to end anytime soon. They pulled back and Nick placed his head resting on top of hers.
"I love you", he whispered. Ali smiled, it was so low she wasn't sure if she was supposed to hear it. She kissed Nick again, more passionately then the last. They broke apart and Ali was smiling. She placed her chin on Nick's shoulder.
"I love you too", she said. Nick just smiled down at her.

"Love is a Rose" is a song written by Neil Young in 1974 for the unreleased album Homegrown. It was later released in 1977 on the compilation Decade. It also hit #63 on the US Pop singles chart.
The melody for "Love is a Rose" was taken from yet another unreleased song "Dance Dance Dance," which finally saw release on Live at Massey Hall 1971 in 2007. Young's longtime backing band Crazy Horse had recorded "Dance Dance Dance" in 1971 on their album Crazy Horse.
Linda Ronstadt recorded "Love is a Rose" in a countrified fashion on her 1975 album Prisoner in Disguise. Her rendition peaked at #5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Chapter 10-
Recap: Ali called Nick's name as he was walking out the door...
"Yeah", he said.
"Just so you know, I like you too", she said. Nick didn't say anything. He just smiled as he walked out the door. Those were the words he definitely wanted to hear. He ran into Joe on the way to where they were going to warm-up.
"Hey", Joe said.
"What's up?", Nick said.
"Oh nothing, Sam likes me and we are playing a show in 45 minutes", Joe said. He was hoping that his brothers conversation had gone just as well with Ali.
"Same, Same. Ali likes me too", Nick said.
"Do you like her?", Joe asked.
"Do you have to ask", Nick said. At that time they walked in on Lindsey and Kevin kissing.
"Ehem", Nick said. Lindsey and Kevin separated. Kevin looked over his shoulder to see his brothers standing there holding in their laughter. Lindsey blushed scarlet and left the room without another word. She went to find Ali and Sam so they could go get their seats.
"Nick, Kevin is the one I don't need to ask", Joe said through his laughs.
"C'mon guys. We have to warm up", Kevin said.
"Looks like you're already warmed up", Nick said. This sent all three boys into laughter. They were still laughing when their father walked in to check on them.
"Boys. C'mon", Papa Jonas said.
"Sorry dad", they said in unison. At that point the boys got serious and became lost in their own thoughts as they walked around their room warming up their voices.
Kevin was lost in the last fifteen minutes of his life. Lindsey had proved to be more then what he expected. She didn't expect anything she knew wasn't possible. She was so understanding of his schedule and their love for their fans. She was what he had been looking for and he knew he was going to make it work. Somehow.
*The Girls
The girls met up at the backstage door. They were silent all the way up the stairs. They didn't get much time to talk after that either. Demi Lovato had gone on and they all three loved her voice. They knew they would talk eventually, but maybe not until they were back in the car or at the hotel room they had for the night.
The show was amazing. The girls danced, screamed and sung along to every song. It was the best night of their lives and when the show was over it was saddening to watch the boys walk off stage. It was where they belonged. The girls headed to the backstage door to find Big Rob already waiting for them. They walked into the backstage room to greet Nick, Kevin and Joe.

Ali stared at Nick not knowing what to say. She really didn't want him thinking about this before a show. She was confused.
"Ali come over here", Nick said. Ali got up and walked over to the couch and sat on the other cushion, Nick pulled her closer so that her head was resting on his chest.
"What is wrong", he asked.
"Lots of things", she said.
"Do any of them have to do with me", Nick said.
"Yes, but you have a show in an hour, I don't want you thinking about it while you're up there", she said.
Nick was looking down at her. It was the first time that he realized how much she cared about him.
"Ali, I want you to tell me", he said.
"Maybe some other time", she said.
"What other time. I am going to Concord tomorrow", he said. That was a low blow. He wanted to take it back the second those words left his mouth
"I don't know", she said. She was tearing up now.
Now all her confusions were confirmed. After tonight her and Nick probably weren't going to see or talk to each other again. After along time of sitting there Ali took her head off of Nick and scooted over to the other side of the coach.
"I'm sorry", Nick said.
"For what", Ali said.
"For that. We will see each other again", Nick said.
"How?", Ali asked.
"Well, I am on TV all the time", he said.
"It doesn't do you justice", she said. They were smiling now and all Nick thought was mission accomplished.
"Ali if you couldn't already tell, I like you and distance isn't going to change that", he said.
"You don't know that", she said.
"You're right. But right now I am willing and with most girls I don't even try", he said.
Ali knew who he was talking about. It was weird to her that he was bringing her up, it was normal. She really hadn't realized how normal the day had been, except for the fact that she was hanging out with the Jonas Brothers. Something she had only dreamt about.
"What are you thinking about", he asked when her noticed she was thinking about something that was making her smile.
"First I was thinking about Miley. Then I was thinking about how normal our day had gone, even though it wasn't normal at all", she said.
"Miley???", he said.
"You brought her up", she said. [AN: if I get any miley and nick comments, I may shoot myself. That is why she is in and out of this part in no time. I know that's not how things went down between her and nick, but its my story]
"My day has been extremely normal. Yours, not so much", he said.

In a sense his day had been very normal, but then again, since when do him and his brothers invite girls back to the venue to hangout. "Big Rob", Nick called out into the hallway.

"Go find Kevin and Joe and tell them we have 45 minutes", Nick said. Big Rob left and Nick and Ali were alone for about a second more.
"Well, I will see you after the show", Nick said.
"How??", Ali asked.
"We will find a way", Nick said. He let go of Ali's hand and was walking out the door when Ali called his name.
