Description: On a request I took some time to show off some basics of the new units in the High Treason expansion to Act of War: Direct Action. Will correct the text by the end of the day, and add some more (More) On a request I took some time to show off some basics of the new units in the High Treason expansion to Act of War: Direct Action. Will correct the text by the end of the day, and add some more detailed unit names as I don't remember all of their definitions. These are not all the new units, for an instance I didn't show any footage from the brand new Naval War mode which gives you a brand new set of naval units - 5 new units per faction only on the sea. But more than that there's also mercenercies you can call in for a certain price and will cost you resources over time as long as you got them in duty on the ground or in the air. New units shown are: The mercernaries command outpost structure, which allows you to call in better mercenaries depending on which level the structure is upgraded to. An SU-25 "Frogfoot" Squad is called in to take out some lightly armored attackers on the bridge - such action goes for $10.000 and $200 every 4-5 seconds as long as they're in duty, if they manage to get home in one piece some of the initial resources are replaced. Extemely effective against all ground vehicles. Next up is a escort for the Blackhawk helicopter with Delta Force soldiers, the smaller helicopter is the Kiowa Recon Helicopter, stealthed to enemy radar if not in radar-mode to view a large surounding area on the map or while not firing their rocketpods which are effective against masses of infantry. The EFW is a power-consuming medium-armored, unarmed vehicle designed to boost troops firepower, making your troops stealthed over a certain area around the EFW or can also be set to shut down enemy buildings. Can only have one mode active in a time, eats 30MW. M2A3 Bradley TOW missile-mode, increases effectivity against vehicles but while the mode is active it will loose some effectivity against infantry by decreasing rate of fire. 9k58 Smerch Artillery, Illegal mercenaries Multiple Rocket Launcher System - has a longer range and effectivity than the US MLRS - goes for $30.000 and $300 upkeep. Task Force Commandos can now be upgraded to Future Force Warriors, increasing mobility, armor and damage as well as having a grenade launcher equiped to their standard rifle - does medium damage to light armored vehicles and is highly effective against helicopters and infantry. The GOUS drone is now adaptable - for the 'assault infantry' it's not a scout-drone anymore but a deployable land-mine going for $200 each, can only be used one time per unit. The Snipers will have the regular, long range scout-drone as before. OCSW, TFTs new adaptable heavy infantry - two crew members handeling a extremely powerful machinegun that can be equiped with either regular High Explosive rounds to bust infantry or Armor Piercing rounds to take down medium-armored vehicles at a distance. Each squad goes for $1000 and is pretty slow-moving and better equiped for defence than direct assault. Spinner Titan Launcher - TFT actually got some proper Artillery in this game. Carrying a extremly powerful, steerable missile you can either set to destroy certain units or command over the battlefield to scout for preys, it can reach the entire battlefield without problems - but it is destroyable by Anti-Air units. Some OSCW units are under attack by a couple of Apache AH64Ds - calling in some SU-27 Flanker "Deathwing" units will do the trick to turn the table - this squad of pure air domination will turn out to be coming handy in basicly any battle - but is rather costy, going for $20.000 and $200 upkeep and is most likely to be severely damaged or totaly destroyed if not called back as soon as the selected air unit is destroyed.
