(Less)

About Cristiano Ronaldo:
Cristiano Ronaldo began his football career at an early age and by the time he went to school he was hooked with a distinct passion for the sport. At barely ten years of age Ronaldo had obtained a reputation for his outstanding soccer prowess in his native country Portugal with teams such as CS Maritimo and CD Nacional vying for his signature. Ronaldo did in time sign for Nacional before moving onto the bigger club of Sporting ready to develop his footballing career.
At Sporting Ronaldo received a first-class instruction and began to hone his natural skills. He made his debut against Moreirense and scored two goals proving that he was capable of playing at the highest standards at a young age. In 2003 he came to the attention of Sir Alex Ferguson, manager of Manchester United, when Sporting beat the Manchester based club in the inaugural match in the Alvalade XXI stadium.
In this stunning display against Manchester United Sir Alex Ferguson made the decision that he wanted Ronaldo for his team. It seemed he would be the perfect replacement for David Beckham who had departed Old Trafford for Real Madrid. Sir Alex got his wish and signed Ronaldo for a fee of £12.24 million and the Portuguese youngster made his Premier League debut against Bolton Wanderers wearing the number seven shirt made famous by the likes of David Beckham, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona and George Best.
In 2005 he was named FIFA Pro Special Young Player of the Year enjoying the special honour of being the recipient of the only award that was voted for by the fans. Ronaldo continued his high standard in 2006 lifting the same award.
Ronaldo has become one of the most creative and influential players at Manchester United and has matured into a player with outstanding ability. Recent rumours have surrounded Ronaldo hinting that he may move to Real Madrid however these were quashed when the midfield maestro signed a new five year contract with Manchester United

50th Anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster
The Munich air disaster took place on February 6, 1958, when British European Airways Flight 609 crashed on its third attempt to takeoff from a slush-covered runway at the Munich-Riem airport in Munich, West Germany. On board the plane was the Manchester United football team, nicknamed the Busby Babes, along with a number of supporters and journalists. Twenty-three of the 44 passengers on board the aircraft died in the disaster.
The European Cup had been contested since 1955, although no English club took part in the very first tournament on account of Football League rules. Manchester United entered the 1956-57 tournament and reached the semi-finals, being knocked out by eventual winners Real Madrid; they were thus one of the favourites for the 1957-58 tournament. Domestic league matches were played on Saturdays and European matches were played midweek, so although air travel was risky at the time, it was the only practical choice if United were to fulfil their league fixtures. Their team was known as the Busby Babes, a reference to their manager Matt Busby and to the average age of the players, which was unusually young.
Manchester United after the crash
Seven of Manchester United's players died immediately, and Duncan Edwards died from his injuries on 21 February. Two other players had to retire because of their injuries. Matt Busby was seriously injured and had to stay in hospital for some time after the crash, and was read his last rites twice. There was speculation that the club would fold, but a threadbare United team completed the 1957-1958 season, with United's coach Jimmy Murphy standing in as manager.A team largely made up of reserves and youth team players beat Sheffield Wednesday 3--0 in the first match after the disaster. The programme for that match showed simply a blank space where each United player's name should have been.
Although the team's league results were poor they reached the final of the FA Cup, losing 2--0 to Bolton Wanderers. Busby resumed managerial duties the following season and eventually built a second generation of Busby Babes, including George Best and Denis Law, that went on to win the European Cup a decade after the disaster in 1968, beating Benfica. Crash survivors Bobby Charlton and Bill Foulkes were two of the other players who lined up in that team.

Ronaldo plays for Portugal and played in the 2006 World Cup. Famously in this competition he featured on the front pages of the English tabloid press when he winked in the immediate aftermath of fellow Manchester United player Wayne Rooney's sending off in the quarter final. England were eliminated from the World Cup and Ronaldo came under heavy attack from the English population which has since disappeared after Wayne Rooney publicly declared he bore Ronaldo no ill will.

Johan Cruijff said in an 2 April 2008 interview, "Ronaldo is better than George Best and Denis Law, who were two brilliant and great players in the history of United.
MSN (The Microsoft Network) is a collection of Internet services provided by Microsoft. The Microsoft Network debuted as an online service and Internet service provider on August 24, 1995, to coincide with the release of the Windows 95 operating system.
The range of services offered by MSN has changed significantly since its initial release in 1995. Many of Microsoft's popular web-based services, such as Hotmail and Messenger, were originally offered by MSN before being reorganized as part of Microsoft's Windows Live group of online services. MSN's Internet portal, MSN.com, offers a wealth of content and is currently the 5th most visited domain name on the Internet.[1]
Windows Live Messenger, formerly MSN Messenger, is an instant messaging client for Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, and Windows Mobile, first released on December 13, 2005 by Microsoft.[1]. It is part of Microsoft's Windows Live set of online services. The current stable version is Windows Live Messenger 2008 (also known as version 8.5), which was released on November 6, 2007.
The client connects to Microsoft's .NET Messenger Service. Corporations can also integrate their Live Communication Server and Active Directory with the network on behalf of its clients. Most major multi-protocol clients can also connect to the service.
\Manchester United Football Club is an English football club, based at the Old Trafford stadium in Trafford, Greater Manchester, and is arguably the most popular football club in the world,[2] with over 330 million supporters worldwide[3][4] -- almost 5% of the world's population.[5] The club was a founding member of the Premier League in 1992, and has played in the top division of English football since 1938, with the exception of the 1974-75 season. Average attendances at the club have been higher than any other team in English football for all but six seasons since 1964--65.[6]
The club is the second most successful in the history of English football and by far the most successful of recent times, having won 20 major honours since the start of Alex Ferguson's reign as manager in November 1986.[7] They are the Premier League's reigning champions, and have won England's top division 17 times, one short of Liverpool's record of 18 league titles. In 1968, they became the first English club to win the European Cup, beating S.L. Benfica 4--1. They won a second European Cup as part of an unprecedented Treble in 1999, before winning their third in 2008, 40 years almost to the day after their first. The club also holds the record for the most FA Cup titles with 11.[8]
Since the late 1990s, the club has been one of the richest in the world with the highest revenue of any football club,[9] and is currently ranked as the richest and most valuable club in football, with a value of £897 million (€1,333 million / $1.8 billion) as of May 2008.[10] Manchester United was a founding member of the now defunct G-14 group of Europe's leading football clubs and its replacement, the European Club Association.
Alex Ferguson has been manager of the club since 6 November 1986. The current club captain is Gary Neville, who succeeded Roy Keane in November 2005.[11] (Less)

If he didn't play for 'dirty Leeds' he'd probably be known worldwide as one of the greatest players the world had ever seen.
The Scot joined Leeds in 1959, as a 'wee lad'. The list of trohpies Billy lifted are:-
Old First Division (Now Premiership)(2)
FA Cup (1)
League Cup (1)
Inter Fairs Cup (Now the UEFA Cup) (2)
Charity Shield (1)
Bremner formed a formidable and lethal partnership in the middle of the park with Irishman Johnny Giles, number 4 and 10 respectively. These two put the shivers up even the most hardest of footballers at the time.
Billy left Leeds for Hull City in 1975, after that he went on to Doncaster Rovers, whom he both played, and manager for, and is a legend there, as well as at Leeds.
Doncaster fans laid wreaths at the statue of Billy Bremner on the 19th January 2008 as a tribute to the great man.
In the 80's however, Billy returned to Leeds United, as manager. He took Leeds minutes within the final of the FA Cup (Despite Leeds being in the Second Division), minutes within the top flight, but in the end losing to Charlton in the Play Off Final.
Billy was sacked, and replaced by Howard Wilkinson.
In December 1997, the true King passed away, after suffering a heart attack the day previous to his death.
This sent the Leeds United worldwide fanbase in to deep sadness for their loss.
To the back end of 1999 (towards the new millenium) a statue on the South East Corner at Elland Road was created, in memory of our King. As it was put up, Leeds were top of the Premiership, it was/still a fitting tribute to the man.
A man who means so much to EVERY Leeds United, and Doncaster Rovers fan - Billy Bremner.
