I have never had any luck. With anything. The most money I've ever won from a lottery ticket that my grandparents presented me with on my birthday... was $2. I've never won a contest, and trust me, I've entered many. I always get stuck in the most awkward situations, like, the other day when I tripped walking UP the stairs, and almost caused a domino effect all the way to the bottom. I don't have enough fingers and toes to count all the embarrassing moments that I have had to endure. It always ends up raining when I have some event that is outdoors to go to, and when I don't and I'm stuck in my house, it is sunny and bright out.
For as far back as I can remember throughout these sixteen years of my life, I've just been waiting for something amazing to occur, something life changing.
So you can guess that I was pretty pessimistic when I entered a contest to win front row tickets and backstage passes to meet the one and only Jonas Brothers. And you would be correct. There was no other way to get tickets, though. They were all sold out.
The ticket sales for the past two concerts had caused my friends and I to want to punch our computer screens. Kayla, Brooke, and I were all sitting in front of our computers impatiently awaiting the tickets to go on sale. And when it was time, we attempted to get them. But of course, nothing.

A couple of weeks had passed since I entered the contest, and I pretty much forgot about it. What was the point in getting my hopes up anyway?
I got home from school one day, exhausted, and lay down on my bed. I turned on my iPod, smiling to myself as my favorite Jonas Brothers song, "Take A Breath" came on. After the song ended, I decided to turn on the TV. Ironically, the music video for "When You Look Me In The Eyes" was playing. I got a chill up my spine just watching Kevin, Joe, and Nick. I thought it was kinda strange that they just happened to be on when I turned on my iPod AND my TV, but it's not like I didn't mind seeing and hearing them.
I went on over to my next device, my laptop, and opened it. Joe Jonas' smiling face was staring back at me.
"Helloooo beautiful." I said outloud. He just stared back at me. I sighed and logged onto my e-mail, since I had sent myself some work that I began in school that day and needed to finish for homework.
I rarely use my e-mail, so I was surprised to see that there was another message in the inbox from a random person. I clicked on it out of curiosity, getting anxious as to what it was. I couldn't tell if the subject of the e-mail was real or fake.
I opened it and huge words flashed in front of my eyes. A part of me didn't believe what I was reading, but I knew it was legitimate. It had to be. I could feel my heartbeat getting faster, and my head began to spin out of control.
I stood up and walked away from the screen a few steps. I rubbed my eyes to make sure I was seeing correctly. I was. I immediately ran out of my room and downstairs, screaming.
"Lindsey, are you okay?!" My mom had no clue what was going on. She thought I had seen a ghost, or a tarantula or something.
"MOM! OH MY GOSH!" I was sprinting down the stairs so quickly, and before I knew it I was in the air, landing on my back, sliding down the remaining stairs and on the floor. I stared up at the ceiling, out of breathe.
My mom came over and looked down at me as I basically hyperventilated. "What in the world happened?!" (Less)

I let CJ's friends and mine come over and Dance, sing, play guitar, or just talk ! Burlington Police got a call 3 hours later for kids in the alley. All the teens are to be home by curfew, shit they run me out of food! Got to run home to mom and dad, lol! If we keep putting our kids on the street, that is where they will be. These kids work, go to college, and half of them go to the 12&12 club (AA). I was a 13 year old Alcoholic because I thought drinking was the ONLY way to have fun. As for rumors started by people up at the restaurant, why don't you guys talk to your kids and see what we do. Ask "The DayRollers" who are a teen Beatles group who learn about music and fun. If any of these people want every single teen to come to their house ,I will gladly say "Go for it!" Let the kids dance, talk, and get some scripture. Maybe rock and Roll! I will allow the kids so much. When they are in the alley going there own ways because I HONOR curfew. I understand when You get a call you have to respond. Soon, by the grace of God I will open the biggest teen center this area has ever seen. Pool Tables, big screens, books, bands, guess what NO VIDEO GAMES! I will have AA and Alateen 24/7 .
Some of these kids are 16 year old alcoholics. Some have parents that are on crack, some lost a parent or a friend to drugs or suicide. I almost died from drinking. Before that I was a lonely teen on the street, because I chose Alcohol instead of my family. I know some of the kids smoke. I have rules. No swearing in the house, never use the Lords name in vain, if you eat , please bring food next time. If people call me crazy for that, so be it! If they drink, they don't get it from me, but I will tell a lost, drunk, kid where to get help! That is the goal of Rocking Fun Music, to make money for this center. I only allow 3 kids at once, about an hour. I have to upload and download and type all night! I make sure they get the hell out. Call me a teen advocate , I guess! Peace Out! Common Grounds (teen center) is good, but it needs funding ,support, and longer hours. No staff! Let's get these teens working and going to school by being mentors. Every cop should mentor 3 teens. You see the kids, get to know them. Do you want to scrape another one off the road, or tell another kid there mom is dead. Do something to keep a teen alive! If anyone reading this has a job or an oppurtunity to help a teen , do it!

They all braced themselves for the flashing of cameras, shouting of questions, grabbing hands, but none of that happened. There was no intense burst of sound, just quiet. There were announcements and stuff, but just sounds you would expect at an airport.
Nick: I could get used to this. It's nice.

Last time we left off, Kaitlyn and Katie were done with school and were going to walk home when Nick showed up with the limo. Kaitlyn and Katie got to meet Papa and Mom Jonas. Also, they got to meet a surfer dude-ish guy named Jake which Katie showed a lot of interest in.
REMEMBER: Nick had asked Kaitlyn to go on a date later. Also, Garbo is JB's bass player.
They are all now in the Limo, on their way to Kaitlyn's house. Nick, Kaitlyn, and Mrs. Jonas are sitting on one side. Mr. Jonas, Jake, and Katie are sitting on the other side. Katie and Jake are in deep conversation. Nick, Kaitlyn, Mr. and Mrs. Jonas are having a conversation of their own.
Mrs. Jonas-So tell me a little about you, Kaitlyn.
Kaitlyn-Well, I'm in 8th grade. I have one brother named Elliot. A cat and a dog, who I always trip over *Mrs. And Mr. Jonas 'chuckle'* and well, before this I had a normal teenage life.

REMEMBER: Katie is pretty much always at Kaitlyn's house. They talk about everything. Also Elliot and Kaitlyn are almost as close as Kaitlyn and Katie.
It is now the next day and Kaitlyn is waiting for a call from Nick. Kaitlyn is in her room listening to the Jonas Brothers CD. Elliot is once again in the doorway without Kaitlyn's notice. Kaitlyn is singing along with the songs and dancing like crazy around her room.
Kaitlyn*singing and dancing*--Where would we be if we couldn't dream? And I know, we get a little crazy. And I know we get a little loud.
Elliot*almost having to yell over the music*--Yes! You do!
Kaitlyn*jumping to face the door*--HOLY CRAP! WHY DO YOU ALWAYS DO THAT?!?
Elliot: Because I can. *He smiles wide* so when's that date of yours with the *says it in an announcer type voice* Jonas Brothers?
Kaitlyn*turning down (not off) the music*--I don't know. Nick hasn't called me yet.
Elliot—Oh really.*crossing his arms looking like he's about to get mad*
Kaitlyn—Cool down. He's a professional musician; he's bound to be busy. No matter how much I wish he wasn't busy, it's inevitable.
Elliot—AW! You are such a good girlfriend!!!
Kaitlyn*lifting one eyebrow*--What?
Elliot—I'm being sarcastic.
Kaitlyn—Oh. Whatever. Anyways, what do you want?
Elliot—Katie's here. She's in the kitchen. She says she wants to go to Culvers.
Kaitlyn—Ok, tell her I'll be out there in a little bit.
Elliot—Ok.
Elliot leaves and Kaitlyn turns off the music, unwillingly. She grabs her favorite backpack with Jonas Brother pins all over it from when she pre-ordered the CD. She grabs her Jonas Brothers sweatshirt, and then puts on her Favorite shoes, her Chuck Taylors. She puts on the backpack and the sweat shirt, and then walks out to the kitchen where Katie and Elliot are having a arm wresting fight. Katie is winning.
Katie—HA HA! Come on! Be a man! Aren't you men supposed to be strong?
Elliot—Come on give a guy a break!
Katie—No way! *She slams Elliot's wrist to the table and raises her hands in victory* HA!
Elliot—I was just sore that's all.
Katie—Yeah, a sore LOSER! Ha ha. Now you have to say it.
Elliot—NO! I'm not going to say it!
Katie—you agreed to it! Now say girls are better then guys! SAY IT!
Elliot—Fine! Girls are better then guys. Gosh you're a pusher!
Katie—No, you're just a wimp.
Kaitlyn—I second that! Ha ha.
Katie—now are you ready to go to Culvers, Kaitlyn?
Kaitlyn—Absolutely. Hey Elliot, come on.
Elliot—What? I am not driving you.
Kaitlyn—you're the only one with a car!
Elliot—Culver's only about two miles away, you can handle it. Walk.
Katie—Come on. *Katie grabs Elliot's arms and pulls him up. * Let's go.
Elliot—Ugh. Fine. Let's go
Kaitlyn—Yes! Finally!
They get to Culvers and there was hardly anyone there, besides a group of people in the back corner and the workers. Kaitlyn orders chicken finger basket and gets a Dr. Pepper. Katie gets a butter burger with a Cherry coke, and Elliot just gets 2 scoops of vanilla custard. They go and sit down a few booths away from the group in the back corner.
Elliot—I wonder who those people are. They kind of look like their hiding.
Katie—maybe they're hiding from your face.
Elliot—Shut up.
Katie—hey, that was rude. And I was just kidding.
Kaitlyn—would you two just stop it. Those people look familiar.
Katie—OMJ! I know who it is!
Kaitlyn—Who?
Katie—Well, I think its Joe and Kevin. And I think Nick is over there in the corner on his cell phone.
Elliot—Joe? Kevin? Nick? Who?
Kaitlyn&Katie—Jonas, duh.
Katie—Go and say hi. Don't be shy.
Kaitlyn—But what if it's not them? That would be sooo embarrassing.
Katie—well do you know Nick's cell?
Kaitlyn—Yeah, when he called I took it off of the caller I.D. so then I could call him if I needed to.
Katie—well, now you need to call him!
Kaitlyn—Ok. Can I use your phone?
Katie—Yeah. *Katie gets out a blue razor* Here you go.
Kaitlyn—Thanks. *Kaitlyn opens up the phone and dials Nicks number. It rings twice and then she hears his beautiful voice*
Nick—Hello?
Kaitlyn—hey, it's Kaitlyn.
Nick—oh, hi. How'd you get my number?
Kaitlyn—Well, when you called me the first time, I wrote down the number.
Nick—Oh. I was just trying to call you. Where are you?
Kaitlyn—Well, I was going to ask you the same thing. I'm at Culvers and Katie says she thinks she sees you, Joe, and Kevin.
Nick—well, she must have good eyes, because it is us. *Suddenly Nick's voice is louder and Kaitlyn looks up to see Nick, Joe, and Kevin smiling at her. *
WHAT WILL HAPPEN??? WILL JOE OR KEVIN LIKE KATIE??? WILL THEY REALIZE ELLIOT IS STILL THERE??? WILL ELLIOT GET MAD??? WILL KAITLYN FREAK OUT??? FIND OUT IN THE NEXT....DON'T WANNA BE JUST FRIENDS!!!!!! (Less)
