The war in the former Yugoslavia ended eight years ago but illegal arms trade and training of Islamic terrorists continues across the Balkans, particularly in Bosnia and Kosovo currently administered by EU / UN Missions. Reports of such developments came also from Gregory Copley. In his article "Strong warning indicators for new surge in European Islamic terrorism" he says that, "Intelligence sources in the Balkans and Middle East indicate that the Iranian and Osama bin Laden terrorist networks, assets and alliances built up in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia, Southern Serbia and elsewhere in the Balkans are preparing for significant new slate of operations." Shaul Shay, an officer in the military intelligence of the Israeli Defense Forces and expert on international and fundamentalist Islamic terrorism, has published the new book "Islamic Terror and the Balkans". In that book he analyzes the growth of radical Islam in the Balkans. He shows how the war in Bosnia and the war in Kosovo provided the historical opportunity for radical Islam to penetrate the Balkans. "It was an ongoing process. During the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina Islamic mujahideens from different parts of the world came to support the local Muslims. Later on when the war was over they formed an [Islamic terrorist] infrastructure that exists even today," said Shaul Shay in his interview to Monday's Encounter on January 6. In it, I show the process and the development of this phenomenon during two wars, first in Bosnia and Herzegovina and later on in Kosovo," continued Shay. Intelligence sources reveal that there have been for more than a decade, three main radical Islamist mujahideen operating in Bosnia: The Iranian mujahideein, consisting entirely of Iranian nationals, the Arab mujahideen, consisting mainly of volunteers from Saudi Arabia, from Palestine, Jordan and Yemen and the North African mujahideen, mainly involving Egyptians, Algerians and Moroccans. Some of them have been engaged in some of the more serious terrorist actions (including the September 11, 2001, attacks on the US). "After 9/11, when the US started examining the financing of terror organizations, it discovered that many of the Islamic charities that operated during and after the war in the Balkans were channeling "terror" money . A big chunk of that money that was supposed to be used for humanitarian purposes went to finance those [Islamic terror] infrastructures, " Shay stated. "In the eyes of the radical Islamic circles, the establishment of an independent Islamic territory including Bosnia, Kosovo and Albania along the Adriatic Coast, is one of the most prominent achievements of Islam since the siege of Vienna in 1683. Islamic penetration into Europe through the Balkans is one of the main achievements of Islam in the twentieth century", said Shay. An investigation by the Los Angeles Times newspaper wrote in 2004 that dangerous Islamic extremists travel in and out of Bosnia at will. There the Islamic fundamentalist regime of Bosnian Muslim leader Alija Izetbegovic had been aided and abetted since it's inception by Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda . "During the war in Kosovo, the KLA enjoyed the support of former Albanian President Berisha, who regarded the war in Kosovo as a Jihad and issued a call to all Muslims to fight for the protection of their homeland. In one way or the other we had similar developments in Albania including the Islamic charities, which financed the KLA in Kosovo . Some of the key figures that participated in the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina were involved in the war in Kosovo as well," Shay said. The Clinton administration had provided a strong support to the terrorist Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), even though it was known that the KLA supported the Muslim mujahideen. Despite that knowledge, then Secretary of State Madeleine Albright had the KLA removed from the State Department list of terrorists. This action paved the way for the United States to provide the KLA with needed logistical support. What makes THE PROJECT so different from the standard "Death of America! Death to Israel!" and "Establish the global caliphate!" islamist rhetoric is that it represents a flexible, multi-phased, long-term approach to the "cultural invasion" of the West. Calling for the utilization of various tactics, ranging from immigration, infiltration, surveillance, propaganda, protest, deception, political legitimacy and terrorism, THE PROJECT has served for more than two decades as the ARAB Muslim Brotherhood's "Master Plan". Early opposed to secular tendencies in Islamic nations, the organization has sought to foster a return to the original precepts of the Qur'an. All too often this is a common tactic in which the White House has raised to an art form: hide the bad news by releasing it late at night or over the weekend when people aren't reading it. If you can't hide the news, you make some up or you wait to hide your bad news behind a convenient story that has enough attention so yours won't be noticed. The more this happens, the worse our country slumps into sickness. We don't need diversions; we need real, solid, credible solutions that don't pay off special interest hacks. By making Muslims and Arabs "the bad guy", the less the mainstream media and the White House have "time" to focus on the real issues. So let's avoid falling for this game of demonization to hide ineffective government, otherwise, we are guilty of not being good stewards of the country we're charged to protect and care for. Another good reason Christians should not demonize Muslims and Arabs is based on the words of Jesus: " And He said to them, 'Go into all the world, proclaim the gospel to all the creation. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned.' " (Mark 16:15-16) Have you noticed as a Christian, how hard it is to seek and save a lost Muslim if he has been told how awful he is based upon his belief in Islam? He turns on the TV and he hears about terrorism and is shown a picture of someone he looks like. He picks up a newspaper or a magazine, and he is confronted with the horrors others who share his religious beliefs. His hands are clean, but he is shamed and bluntly told at every turn he will always be a lousy Muslim/Arab/terrorist. That's a huge weight for anyone to carry. How can a Christian hope to show the love of Jesus if we, bearing His name, mistreat an innocent person based upon the war on terror propaganda? Christians need to remember they are ambassadors for the King who has saved them. The King of Kings does not discriminate and has given us an order to spread the gospel to every living creature. Our Lord does not turn away any broken soul who crawls in repentance to the foot of His blood stained cross, so what makes us believe we can exclude them from evangelizing? If we listen to the bad mouthing, we will never reach out to these people. As a Christian, I know I am spared from the judgment at the moment of my death. If I love My Lord, then I will obey his commands and seek and save the lost. Why should I want anyone to pass into eternal damnation if I'm not willing to go there myself? Is heaven a place only for Christians who cloistered themselves behind church walls? If you love Jesus and you are thankful He took your punishment on the cross, ignore the political world's attempts at segregation and reach out no matter the skin color or religious preference. It is the place where God's will was revealed to Muhammad, (peace be upon him), and it is now the location of the Holy Mosque and the scared Ka'ba. It is also the destination of millions of pilgrims and visitors and the holiest spot on earth. God (called Allah in Arabic) has honored it in His Holy Book (Quran), in which it is given eleven different names, including: Makkah, Bakkah, Al-Balad Al-Amin, Al-Balad Al-Ameen, Al-Haram Al-Amain and Um-Al-Qura. God also refers to Makkah in several verses of the Holy Quran (also Koran) using other names, and has sworn on its name, thus giving a unique status unrivalled by any other city in the world. It was also the will of God that the Holy Ka'ba be situated in Makkah. This divine will has affected the building and growth of the city as it is today. The first Sura of the Holy Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) on the outskirts of Makkah. These revelations to the Prophet continued later, and some verses of the Holy Quran are known as Makki, because they were revealed in Makkah, while others were called Madani because they were revealed in Madinah. It was in and around Makkah that the early Moslems launched their "Jihad" (Holy Struggle) against polytheism, heresy and idolarty. It was here that God gave victory to His Prophet and his fellow-believers when they triumphantly entered Makkah in the 8th year after Hijra (630 AD), ending the state of polytheism and exalting the name of Allah, the one and only God. The idols were destroyed, God's House was purified and Makkah became a secure and sacred city. Moslems all over the world turn their faces in prayer five times ad day towards the Ka'ba in Makkah and begin and end their pilgrimage with a "tawaf" (circumambulation) of it. The tale of the building of Makkah, the Holy Mosque and the Ka'ba is well-known, as are the events which took place in the city following the era of Abraham and Ishmael.
