Tỉnh chiếm vị thế chiến lược quan trọng của vùng Đông Bắc.
Đồi núi chiếm hơn 80% diện tích cả tỉnh. Dạng địa hình phổ biến ở Lạng Sơn là núi thấp và đồi, độ cao trung bình 252 m so với mặt nước biển. Nơi thấp nhất là 20 m ở phía nam huyện Hữu Lũng và nơi cao nhất là núi Mẫu Sơn 1541 m. Mẫu Sơn cách thành phố Lạng Sơn 30 km về phía đông, được bao bọc bởi nhiều ngọn núi lớn nhỏ, thỉnh thoảng có tuyết rơi vào mùa đông.

Đa phần người nước ngoài chưa đến VN có 2 cái nhìn sau về VN : - VN cực kỳ nghèo đói , lạc hậu và rất dã man . - VN đã phát triển và cũng giàu có như Thái Lan , Malaysia ... Cho nên sinh ra hai thái cực : một là khen ngợi , yêu mến VN , thán phục VN . Hai là coi khinh khi so sánh VN với các nước tiên tiến . Cả hai đều xuất phát từ sự thiếu hiểu biết về một VN mà nói như một nhà văn Mỹ thì : "Vietnam , a country, not a war" bởi vì nói đến hai chữ VN , đa số người nước ngoài chỉ biết đến một cuộc chiến tranh khố liệt nhất nửa sau thế kỷ 20 . Là người VN may mắn được du học, KC thấy rằng chúng ta đều là những "sứ giả" của VN ta tại nước ngoài , là những thanh niên thuộc lớp trí thức của dân Việt ,trong mục "Bình luận - Tâm sự" này, chúng ta nên có những thảo luận làm sao để giới thiệu Quê hương và dân tộc chúng ta đến bạn bè thế giới nơi chúng ta đến học .Ví dụ trong những buổi giao lưu , ít ra cũng phải biết hát một vài bài quan họ , dân ca , biết thể hiện một nét truyền thống nào đó của người VN và biết giới thiệu VN sao cho ngắn gọn mà giúp bạn bè thông cảm , hiểu biết hơn về VN . Tối hôm qua , KC dự tiệc chiêu đãi của ĐH dành cho SV nước ngoài .KC được "thưởng thức" người Hàn tự hào biểu diễn trống phèng om sòm kiểu "lên đồng Châu Phi" của họ , biểu diễn điệu hát dân ca giật giật hơi bụng nghe như ... "đưa đám" của họ với giai điệu rất nghèo "Ả y ả y ả y rang" (bạn cứ đọc cái câu đó là ra giai điệu luôn rồi đó , ngang phè phè ) . Người Hàn cũng không có nhạc cụ dân tộc ngoài sáo trúc nguồn gốc Tàu , đàn tỳ bà, đàn độc cầm cũng từ Tàu . Sau khi về mấy anh em VN nhẩm hát bài "Tình bằng có cái trống cơm" , "Chi Hai xinh đứng một mình" , "Lý ngựa ô" , "Bắc Kim Thang" ... mà thấy là chỉ riêng mỗi một khoản về dân ca thôi mà giai điệu tươi vui , thanh bình, lạc quan miền nông thôn Việt Nam của nguời Việt mình đã có một sự khác biệt rồi . Và VN ta còn có rất nhiều nhạc cụ truyền thống đặc trưng chỉ có Việt Nam có như đàn bầu , đàn đá , đàn tơ-nưng , gõ cắc , sáo Việt Nam (khác sáo Tàu ở chỗ ta thổi vào gốc ngọn sáo ) , đàn gió ... Giai điệu Việt Nam thể hiện qua những nhạc cụ VN mang một phong thái rất Việt không lẫn vào đâu được, réo rắt với tiết tấu nhanh , vui , lên xuống thiết tha . Lúc người Hàn biểu diễn màn thổi sáo , ai nghe cũng kêu là sao giống nhạc phim chưởng Tàu quá !? Có một anh VN nhái giọng phim chưởng Tàu làm anh em thấy giống quá cười muốn bể bụng : "Guynh đi chuyến nài không biết chừng nào mới dzề . Muội ở lại ráng luyện tầng thứ 7 của cuống Cửu Âm Châng Kin ..." Người ta nghèo nàn văn hóa như vậy nhưng vì có tiền , có ý thức quảng bá ... mà trong con mắt người Âu thì là hết sức đậm đà văn hóa ... 1º - Liderança

2º - Confiança
Quando eu pergunto "Quanto foi o jogo?", eu imediatamente olho para uma pessoa. Eu não falo assim: "quanto foi?", olhando ao redor. Essa é a pessoa em que nós confiamos.
3º - Visão
É alguém entender o que está fazendo e por que está fazendo, e sugerir pequenas mudanças para melhorar o próprio trabalho ou o trabalho dos colegas. Do que nós estamos falando? Pequenas idéias, uma por dia, de R$ 3. Muita gente fica esperando muito para ter uma grande idéia na vida de R$ 200 milhões e perde a oportunidade de ter a pequena idéia de todo dia.
4º - Espírito de equipe
É oferecer ajuda aos colegas, mesmo sem ser solicitado. De coração aberto, quantas pessoas realmente fazem isso?
5º - Maturidade

6º - Integridade

Quem tem vontade de prejudicar alguém? Qual das duas perguntas que eu fiz mostra falta de integridade? A segunda? Se eu tiver o desejo, assim, de me vingar, isso mostra a minha falta de integridade? Não. O desejo não mostra. É por isso que nós temos sentimentos, nós temos emoções e, muitas vezes, no trabalho, nós temos que guardar isso para a gente mesmo. Eu, sinceramente, tenho vontade atropelar um monte de gente, mas eu não vou fazer isso.
7º - Visibilidade
Ser o primeiro a levantar a mão quando o chefe precisa de um voluntário para uma tarefa. O que eu me lembro nos últimos 25 anos da minha vida corporativa, todo mundo que levantou a mão quando eu pedi um voluntário, hoje, ou é gerente, ou é diretor, ou é presidente de empresa. Impressionante.
8º - Empatia
É saber elogiar o trabalho de um colega e reconhecer o mérito dos outros. "Foi o Emerson. Isso foi ontem ainda. Ele montou lá na frente da loja uma exposição de brinquedos que foi muito lindo mesmo. Elogiei, elogiei na hora", disse o fiscal de loja Enedino dos Santos.
9º - Otimismo

10º - Paciência
Isso é o que mais acontece com jovens recém-formados no mercado de trabalho. Normalmente, uma pessoa com excelente formação acadêmica entra em uma empresa e, seis horas depois, já está começando a pensar por que ela não foi promovida. De todas as qualidades que nós podemos ter, a paciência é, talvez, a que se a gente não tiver, vai nos prejudicar mais.
Evidentemente, não adianta ter tudo isso se o funcionário não consegue fazer aquilo que ele é pago para fazer, dar bons resultados de curto prazo.
