My last video I captured was around 3mins and 20 seconds. today I thought I'd try and brake that knowing i have been able to now go 4 minutes underwater but getting it on video was challenging because you have to have the camera, someone to film, and the free time to get all these factors right. i would like to say that it's important to add that you never try this alone and never try holding your breath without building up your lung span and training first. this is not something you should do often and the only reason i am able or for that matter let myself attempt these type of breath holding skills at this lever is because i have been in the water since birth and being around and in water is my 2nd home. i feel safe and a sense of peace and joy when i am submerged and again ask that you never ever try holding your breath for any length of time without having a partney/buddy system into play. i am also scuba/padi certified. lack of oxygen to the brain can leave permanent damage if not careful so this is something i have researched and carefully built up to be able to do without hurting myself but even still something can always go wrong so i always have team members or fellow friends i dive with that are like me CPR certified. i have had countless emails asking how i am able to do this, why i like doing this, and if i will be braking more records to come. 1st to those who write i thank you and try to get back to everyone but sometimes its just not posable to have the time but i do read every single one and try and answer questions when i can! 2ndly.. i like holding my breath because as a kid my imagination was most able to be set free while submerged and creating up underwater games and fantasies. that is something i will never grow out of when it comes to feeling set free underwater perhaps because of the weightlessness and the abilities I've learned how to do such as walking on the bottom without floating up or laying on the floor without being held down, and of curse the fun flips and tricks like bubble rings --its the closest thing to the feeling of outer space and the ability to fly you'll ever get without anything attached to manipulate your body. 3rd--last but not least... as far as braking more records, the longer i go underwater the more i am able to teach myself how i can achieve a higher goal... i do believe i can one day reach 4mins and 45 secs or more but i also again go back to the safty factor and know that its ok for now to know i can go that long underwater but have no need to rush and try to record it as i am happy with this record that now stands at 4mins and 18sec!
