Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds (in disbelief)! 54 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them (Quraish pagans) you are not to be blamed (as you have conveyed Allahs Message). 55 And remind (by preaching the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) for verily, the reminding profits the believers. 56 And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone). 57 I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures). 58 Verily, Allah is the All-Provider, Owner of Power, the Most Strong. 59 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 60 Then, woe to those who disbelieve (in Allah and His Oneness Islamic Monotheism) from (that) their Day which they have been promised (for their punishment). Surat AT-TUR: 1 By the Mount; 2 And by the Book Inscribed. 3 In parchment unrolled. 4 And by the Bait-ul-Mamoor (the house over the heavens parable to the Kabah at Makkah, continuously visited by the angels); 5 And by the roof raised high (i.e. the heaven). 6 And by the sea kept filled (or it will be fire kindled on the Day of Resurrection). 7 Verily, the Torment of your Lord will surely come to pass, 8 There is none that can avert it; 9 On the Day when the heaven will shake with a dreadful shaking, 10 And the mountains will move away with a (horrible) movement. 11 Then woe that Day to the beliers; 12 Who are playing in falsehood . 13 The Day when they will be pushed down by force to the Fire of Hell, with a horrible, forceful pushing. 14 This is the Fire which you used to belie. 15 Is this magic, or do you not see? 16 Taste you therein its heat, and whether you are patient of it or impatient of it, it is all the same. You are only being requited for what you used to do. 17 Verily, the Muttaqoon (pious - see V.2:2) will be in Gardens (Paradise), and Delight. 18 Enjoying in that which their Lord has bestowed on them, and (the fact that) their Lord saved them from the torment of the blazing Fire. 19 "Eat and drink with happiness because of what you used to do." 20 They will recline (with ease) on thrones arranged in ranks. And We shall marry them to Houris (female, fair ones) with wide lovely eyes. 21 And those who believe and whose offspring follow them in Faith, to them shall We join their offspring, and We shall not decrease the reward of their deeds in anything. Anti Tribal Gentile. سورة الواقعة بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم إِذَا وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ 1 لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ 2 خَافِضَةٌ رَّافِعَةٌ 3 إِذَا رُجَّتِ الْأَرْضُ رَجًّا 4 وَبُسَّتِ الْجِبَالُ بَسًّا 5 فَكَانَتْ هَبَاء مُّنبَثًّا 6 وَكُنتُمْ أَزْوَاجًا ثَلَاثَةً 7 فَأَصْحَابُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ 8 وَأَصْحَابُ الْمَشْأَمَةِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْمَشْأَمَةِ 9 وَالسَّابِقُونَ السَّابِقُونَ 10 أُوْلَئِكَ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ 11 فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ 12 ثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ 13 وَقَلِيلٌ مِّنَ الْآخِرِينَ 14 عَلَى سُرُرٍ مَّوْضُونَةٍ 15 مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَيْهَا مُتَقَابِلِينَ 16 يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَانٌ مُّخَلَّدُونَ 17 بِأَكْوَابٍ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍ 18 لَا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنزِفُونَ 19 وَفَاكِهَةٍ مِّمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُونَ 20 وَلَحْمِ طَيْرٍ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ 21 وَحُورٌ عِينٌ 22 كَأَمْثَالِ اللُّؤْلُؤِ الْمَكْنُونِ 23 جَزَاء بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ 24 لَا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا تَأْثِيمًا 25 إِلَّا قِيلًا سَلَامًا سَلَامًا 26 وَأَصْحَابُ الْيَمِينِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْيَمِينِ 27 فِي سِدْرٍ مَّخْضُودٍ 28 وَطَلْحٍ مَّنضُودٍ 29 وَظِلٍّ مَّمْدُودٍ 30 وَمَاء مَّسْكُوبٍ 31 وَفَاكِهَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ 32 لَّا مَقْطُوعَةٍ وَلَا مَمْنُوعَةٍ 33 وَفُرُشٍ مَّرْفُوعَةٍ 34 إِنَّا أَنشَأْنَاهُنَّ إِنشَاء 35 فَجَعَلْنَاهُنَّ أَبْكَارًا 36 عُرُبًا أَتْرَابًا 37 لِّأَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ 38 ثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ 39 وَثُلَّةٌ مِّنَ الْآخِرِينَ 40 وَأَصْحَابُ الشِّمَالِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الشِّمَالِ 41 فِي سَمُومٍ وَحَمِيمٍ 42 وَظِلٍّ مِّن يَحْمُومٍ 43 لَّا بَارِدٍ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ 44 إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ 45 وَكَانُوا يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى الْحِنثِ الْعَظِيمِ 46 وَكَانُوا يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَئِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ 47 أَوَ آبَاؤُنَا الْأَوَّلُونَ 48 قُلْ إِنَّ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَالْآخِرِينَ 49 لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَى مِيقَاتِ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ 50 ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ أَيُّهَا الضَّالُّونَ الْمُكَذِّبُونَ 51 لَآكِلُونَ مِن شَجَرٍ مِّن زَقُّومٍ 52 فَمَالِؤُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ 53 فَشَارِبُونَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْحَمِيمِ 54 فَشَارِبُونَ شُرْبَ الْهِيمِ 55 هَذَا نُزُلُهُمْ يَوْمَ الدِّينِ 56 نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ 57 أَفَرَأَيْتُم مَّا تُمْنُونَ 58 أَأَنتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الْخَالِقُونَ 59 نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَكُمُ الْمَوْتَ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ 60 عَلَى أَن نُّبَدِّلَ أَمْثَالَكُمْ وَنُنشِئَكُمْ فِي مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ 61 وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ النَّشْأَةَ الْأُولَى فَلَوْلَا تَذكَّرُونَ 62 أَفَرَأَيْتُم مَّا تَحْرُثُونَ 63 أَأَنتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الزَّارِعُونَ 64 لَوْ نَشَاء لَجَعَلْنَاهُ حُطَامًا فَظَلَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُونَ 65 إِنَّا لَمُغْرَمُونَ 66 بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ 67 أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ الْمَاء الَّذِي تَشْرَبُونَ 68 أَأَنتُمْ أَنزَلْتُمُوهُ مِنَ الْمُزْنِ أَمْ نَحْنُ الْمُنزِلُونَ 69 لَوْ نَشَاء جَعَلْنَاهُ أُجَاجًا فَلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُونَ 70 أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ النَّارَ الَّتِي تُورُونَ 71 أَأَنتُمْ أَنشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَا أَمْ نَحْنُ الْمُنشِؤُونَ 72 نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَاهَا تَذْكِرَةً وَمَتَاعًا لِّلْمُقْوِينَ 73 فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ 74 فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِمَوَاقِعِ النُّجُومِ 75 وَإِنَّهُ لَقَسَمٌ لَّوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عَظِيمٌ 76 إِنَّهُ لَقُرْآنٌ كَرِيمٌ 77 فِي كِتَابٍ مَّكْنُونٍ 78 لَّا يَمَسُّهُ إِلَّا الْمُطَهَّرُونَ 79 تَنزِيلٌ مِّن رَّبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ 80 أَفَبِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَنتُم مُّدْهِنُونَ 81 وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ 82 فَلَوْلَا إِذَا بَلَغَتِ الْحُلْقُومَ 83 وَأَنتُمْ حِينَئِذٍ تَنظُرُونَ 84 وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ 85 فَلَوْلَا إِن كُنتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ 86 تَرْجِعُونَهَا إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ 87 فَأَمَّا إِن كَانَ مِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ 88 فَرَوْحٌ وَرَيْحَانٌ وَجَنَّةُ نَعِيمٍ 89 وَأَمَّا إِن كَانَ مِنَ أَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ 90 فَسَلَامٌ لَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ 91 وَأَمَّا إِن كَانَ مِنَ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ الضَّالِّينَ 92 فَنُزُلٌ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ 93 وَتَصْلِيَةُ جَحِيمٍ 94 إِنَّ هَذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ الْيَقِينِ 95 فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ 96 Surah 56. The Event, The Inevitable 1. When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 2. Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 3. (Many) will it bring low; (many) will it exalt; 4. When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 5. And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 6. Becoming dust scattered abroad, 7. And ye shall be sorted out into three classes. 8. Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 9. And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 10. And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter). 11. These will be those Nearest to Allah. 12. In Gardens of Bliss: 13. A number of people from those of old, 14. And a few from those of later times. 15. (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), 16. Reclining on them, facing each other. 17. Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 18. With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 19. No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication: 20. And with fruits, any that they may select: 21. And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire. 22. And (there will be) Companions with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes,- 23. Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 24. A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 25. Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,- 26. Only the saying, "Peace! Peace". 27. The Companions of the Right Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 28. (They will be) among Lote-trees without thorns, 29. Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another,- 30. In shade long-extended, 31. By water flowing constantly, 32. And fruit in abundance. 33. Whose season is not limited, nor (supply) forbidden, 34. And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high. 35. We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 36. And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), - 37. Beloved (by nature), equal in age,- 38. For the Companions of the Right Hand. 39. A (goodly) number from those of old, 40. And a (goodly) number from those of later times. 41. The Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 42. (They will be) in the midst of a Fierce Blast of Fire and in Boiling Water, 43. And in the shades of Black Smoke: 44. Nothing (will there be) to refresh, nor to please: 45. For that they were wont to be indulged, before that, in wealth (and luxury), 46. And persisted obstinately in wickedness supreme! 47. And they used to say, "What! when we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be raised up again?- 48. "(We) and our fathers of old?" 49. Say: "Yea, those of old and those of later times, 50. "All will certainly be gathered together for the meeting appointed for a Day well-known. 51. "Then will ye truly,- O ye that go wrong, and treat (Truth) as Falsehood!- 52. "Ye will surely taste of the Tree of Zaqqum. 53. "Then will ye fill your insides therewith, 54. "And drink Boiling Water on top of it: 55. "Indeed ye shall drink like diseased camels raging with thirst!" 56. Such will be their entertainment on the Day of Requital! 57. It is We Who have created you: why will ye not witness the Truth? 58. Do ye then see?- The (human Seed) that ye throw out,- 59. Is it ye who create it, or are We the Creators? 60. We have decreed Death to be your common lot, and We are not to be frustrated 61. from changing your Forms and creating you (again) in (forms) that ye know not. 62. And ye certainly know already the first form of creation: why then do ye not celebrate His praises? 63. See ye the seed that ye sow in the ground? 64. Is it ye that cause it to grow, or are We the Cause? 65. Were it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry powder, and ye would be left in wonderment, 66. (Saying), "We are indeed left with debts (for nothing): 67. "Indeed are we shut out (of the fruits of our labour)" 68. See ye the water which ye drink? 69. Do ye bring it down (in rain) from the cloud or do We? 70. Were it Our Will, We could make it salt (and unpalatable): then why do ye not give thanks? 71. See ye the Fire which ye kindle? 72. Is it ye who grow the tree which feeds the fire, or do We grow it? 73. We have made it a memorial (of Our handiwork), and an article of comfort and convenience for the denizens of deserts. 74. Then celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme! 75. Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars,- 76. And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 77. That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 78. In Book well-guarded, 79. Which none shall touch but those who are clean: 80. A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 81. Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem? 82. And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 83. Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 84. And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 85. But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,- 86. Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,- 87. Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)? 88. Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 89. (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 90. And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand, 91. (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 92. And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 93. For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water. 94. And burning in Hell-Fire. 95. Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 96. So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. Verily, We know what they conceal and what they reveal. 77 Does not man see that We have created him from Nutfah (mixed male and female discharge semen drops). Yet behold! He (stands forth) as an open opponent. 78 And he puts forth for Us a parable, and forgets his own creation. He says: "Who will give life to these bones when they have rotted away and became dust?" 79 Say: (O Muhammad SAW) "He will give life to them Who created them for the first time! And He is the All-Knower of every creation!" 80 He, Who produces for you fire out of the green tree, when behold! You kindle therewith. 81 Is not He, Who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the like of them? Yes, indeed! He is the All-Knowing Supreme Creator. 82 Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, "Be!" and it is! 83 So Glorified is He and Exalted above all that they associate with Him, and in Whose Hands is the dominion of all things, and to Him you shall be returned. (This is) the Promise of Allah: and Allah does not fail in (His) Promise. 21 See you not, that Allah sends down water (rain) from the sky, and causes it to penetrate the earth, (and then makes it to spring up) as water-springs and afterward thereby produces crops of different colours, and afterward they wither and you see them turn yellow, then He makes them dry and broken pieces. Verily, in this, is a Reminder for men of understanding. 22 Is he whose breast Allah has opened to Islam, so that he is in light from His Lord (as he who is non-Muslim)? So, woe to those whose hearts are hardened against remembrance of Allah! They are in plain error! 23 Allah has sent down the best statement, a Book (this Quran), its parts resembling each other in goodness and truth, oft-repeated. The skins of those who fear their Lord shiver from it (when they recite it or hear it). Then their skin and their heart soften to the remembrance of Allah. That is the guidance of Allah. He Guides therewith whom He pleases and whomever Allah sends astray, for him there is no guide. 24 Is he then, who will confront with his face the awful torment on the Day of Resurrection (as he who enters peacefully in Paradise)? And it will be said to the Zalimoon (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.): "Taste what you used to earn!" 25 Those before them belied, and so the torment came on them from directions they perceived not. 26 So Allah made them to taste the disgrace in the present life, but greater is the torment of the Hereafter if they only knew! 27 And indeed We have put forth for men, in this Quran every kind of similitude in order that they may remember. 28 An Arabic Quran, without any crookedness (therein) in order that they may avoid all evil which Allah has ordered them to avoid, fear Him and keep their duty to Him. 29 Allah puts forth a similitude: a (slave) man belonging to many partners (like those who worship others along with Allah) disputing with one another, and a (slave) man belonging entirely to one master, (like those who worship Allah Alone). Are those two equal in comparison? All the praises and thanks be to Allah! But most of them know not. 30 Verily, you (O Muhammad SAW) will die and verily, they (too) will die. 31 Then, on the Day of Resurrection, you will be disputing before your Lord. (Less)

Tower 1 on fire
Tuesday morning, I headed to our NJ office on the waterfront right across the Hudson river from lower Manhattan. In the past I sometimes went by subway to the World Trade Center and took the PATH train (another kind of subway) from the station under the towers to New Jersey. On this day I (fortunately) went via a different PATH train from midtown to NJ. When I walked out of the station at 8:50, I noticed a knot of people gathering by the water and pointing. I ran over and looked, and saw the 1st tower burning. (first image) Many people said a small plane hit the tower. I couldn't believe it, but I ran over to the end of the pier and joined other people from our field office who were watching.

After a while, I SAW A HUGE FIREBALL ON THE SECOND TOWER -- being on the far side, I DIDN'T SEE THE PLANE and assumed a bomb or something had gone off. Other people behind me on land had a wider view and said they saw the second plane approach from far away, figuring it was a rescue plane of some kind. The second image shows the puff of the second impact, with arcing debris on the left side.

"With massive destruction looming ninety floors up, people on the street did not yet seem to be conscious of the horror unfolding above them. "It was eerie and quiet," said Handschuh, describing the moments after he arrived, just before the second plane slammed into the south tower. "People were coming to work with their coffee and danish, just standing and watching. You could hear the flames crackling, glass breaking, you could hear things falling. But it was like someone had turned the volume off on the usual hubbub of the city, like someone had hit the mute button."
Handschuh himself had no inkling of the danger he was in until several moments later. "I had no idea I would be running for my life as a 110 story building was bombed by terrorists," he said. Turning his lens on the flaming tower, Handschuh realized that not all the debris falling from the north tower was glass and metal. "I couldn't begin to describe what it looked like," he said, referring to people who appeared at the windows and in desperation began to jump to their deaths rather than be burned alive, a sight and sound Handschuh says he will never forget. He has no recollection of making the picture that appeared in the Daily News, a photograph taken moments after the second plane hit the south tower. Standing directly underneath the World Trade Center, the photograph is framed by an achingly beautiful blue sky as an ominous black cloud of smoke billows out, and a brilliant orange fireball at the top spews glass and melting steel to the ground.

If the desire to flee in life threatening situations is strong, the desire to stay and document them for news photographers, is often stronger. While Handschuh stayed long enough to take some pictures, at some point his instincts kicked in. "Time stood still," he said, as he looked up to see the south tower begin to disintegrate, accompanied by noises that he said sounded like high pressure gas explosions." (Less)

The victim who was the chief guard of the PAD was an ex-policeman. He used to lead PAD protestor to the dispute area, Pra Vihear temple, nearby the Cambodian border and fight against some villagers there.

The plants use cattle manure to provide biogas for cooking and lighting. In addition, about 75% of the plants incorporate toilets. About 80% of the 4.2 million households in Nepal use fuelwood, cattle-dung cakes and agricultural residues for cooking, and kerosene for lighting. Demand for fuelwood substantially exceeds the rate of regrowth, and this is leading to degradation of the land and damage to vital watersheds. Cooking indoors over open fires, and lighting with kerosene, gives dangerous exposure to air pollutants and a high risk of fire, particularly for women and young children who spend much of their time indoors. In addition, women and girls have the drudgery of collecting fuelwood, which typically takes three hours each day. The Ashden judges commended this project for the many benefits which it provides. The biogas plants replace nearly all the use of fuelwood, and make cooking easier, cleaner and safer. In 20% of houses biogas provides safer lighting as well. This saving of unsustainable fuelwood use also reduces carbon dioxide emissions. The provision of toilets improves sanitation; and the effluent from the biogas plant is a valuable organic compost. The use of cattle dung to generate biogas is well known in the Indian subcontinent, but in no other place has it been used with such success as in Nepal. The scale of the programme is remarkable. Biogas already serves about one million people (4% of the population of Nepal), and the biogas sector provides about 11,000 permanent jobs in the country. If anyone needed to be convinced that 'small scale can be big' then they need look no further! The Ashden judges also recognised the excellent collaboration between different organisations (BSP, government, construction companies, donors, finance organisations) in order to achieve such outstanding results. All of us at one time or another in our lives have had a bad day. We get up in the morning and from the time we start to put our clothes on, until the time we take off those clothes and prepare to get back into bed, everything in one way or another has gone wrong. The dog pooped on the carpet, a roommate or relative is sick, we are perpetually running late, everyone and everything that day seems to want to make our live a living hell, nothing seems to go right, and nothing we do helps fix it! Been there, done that, got the shirt and the CD soundtrack.
Now put all those bad days together, and put them on the scale against this one day that the scriptures above are speaking about, and you will see this one outweighs them all. If you are there before His throne, and you don't have a real relationship with Him, if you have not partaken of His sacrifice and Holy Spirit and been transformed by Him according to His will for you; then, I promise you, you will be there wishing you had one of those days back to live over and over again for eternity as you are led to and tossed in the lake of fire to burn and be consumed by its flames forever! So remember, you only have a limited amount of time to accept Christ, do it today; and once you, if you are ever having another one of those days, thinks about all the good things that are and will be yours of Him by grace and through faith, and then thank Him and rejoice! Because your worst day hear on earth is infinitely better than your best day roasting in that painful fire would ever be! Amen and amen.
