Siamo a Saline Joniche, in Calabria, dove la gente da troppo tempo resta immobile a guardare le atrocità che lo Stato non può o non vuole combattere, in una parola la "ndrangheta". Il tempo si è fermato, l'aria desertica è sospesa in un'atmosfera di terrore e di speranza. I due protagonisti, Diego e Salvatore, animano questo silenzio con i propri sogni e aspettano qualcosa... Come Wladimiro ed Estragone in Aspettando Godot di Samuel Beckett, i due fanno del palcoscenico uno spazio di azioni, dialoghi, movimenti, apparentemente fini a loro stessi perché questo qualcosa sembra non arrivare mai; in realtà dietro la storia raccontata nell'immobilità temporale si nasconde una verità sconcertante che i nostri eroi cercano di scoprire. Mentre Beckett non conosceva il suo Godot, Diego e Salvatore sanno con certezza cosa stanno aspettando ed è qui che cronaca e teatro diventa un binomio inscindibile. Ma qual è la storia realmente accaduta? Laura C è una normalissima nave mercantile che durante la seconda guerra mondiale scompare per sempre nei fondali marini portando con sé alimenti, vestiario, armi e un quantitativo di tritolo incommensurabile destinato alle truppe nazi-fasciste che aspettavano i rifornimenti in Africa settentrionale. L'emergenza guerra ed una cattiva amministrazione degli affari della marina militare hanno occultato per sempre la scomparsa della nave e, soprattutto, ciò che essa trasportava. Non a caso, nella piece, la Magistratura prenderà il posto del Bambino dell'Aspettando Godot per sottolineare la sua innocenza di fronte ad un sistema che permette complici, ma non intromissioni. Proprio la Magistratura ha lasciato trapelare la notizia che tutto il tritolo trasportato dalla nostra Laura C sia stato utilizzato per atroci e noti delitti: il duplice omicidio Falcone-Borsellino, l'attentato a Roma in via Fauro e in Laterano, a Firenze in via dei Georgofili nel '93, l'attentato al sindaco di Reggio Calabria Scoppellitti nel 2004 e il più recente attentato al giudice di Caltanissetta Ottavio Sferlazza nel 2005. Allo stato attuale non è possibile dare certezze, o almeno questo è stato detto. La verità, in fondo, è un relitto celato negli abissi. IL FATTO DI CRONACA La nave mercantile Laura C venne costruita in Italia nei cantieri navali dei fratelli Cosulich, nel 1923. È stata requisita dalla Marina Regia a Trieste nel 1940. Qualche tempo dopo, mentre il Laura C navigava a circa un miglio dalla costa calabrese, a distanza di pochi secondi l'uno dall'altro, due siluri squarciavano la fiancata sinistra del mercantile. Il carico del piroscafo, costituito da alimenti, vestiario e tonnellate di armi munizione ed esplosivo, era diretto in Africa a rifornire le truppe nazi--fasciste impegnate sul fronte settentrionale dell'Africa. Il recupero continuò per anni fino a quando un violento alluvione ingrossò la fiumara Molaro e trascinò completamente nei fondali il Laura C. L'atteggiamento delle istituzioni preposte al recupero del relitto fu quello di assoluto disinteresse, dovuto sia all'emergenza della guerra, che ad una cattiva amministrazione e gestione degli affari della marina militare. A distanza di cinquanta anni, il relitto del Laura C sconvolge, nuovamente, l'opinione pubblica locale e nazionale poiché fonti della magistratura lasciano trapelare la notizia della possibilità che il tritolo del Laura C sia stato usato per numerosi attentati: quello in cui persero la vita i giudici Falcone e Borsellino, gli attentati di Roma in via Fauro e in Laterano, di Firenze in via dei Georgofili del '93, gli attentati dell'11 marzo 2004 a Madrid, il fallito attentato al sindaco di Reggio Calabria Giuseppe Scopelliti ed in ultimo lo sventato attentato al giudice Ottavio Sferlazza di Caltanissetta. Eine wirklich wunderschöne Stadt voller Leben und Attraktionen. Wenn man erst einmal dort war, wird einem diese Stadt nie mehr loslassen, ...versprochen. - bella Roma San Giovanni in Laterano Der Lateran bezeichnet einen Bereich in Rom, der seit der Zeit Konstantins I. der offizielle Sitz der Päpste ist. Die Lateranbasilika ist die Kathedrale des Erzbistums Rom und eine der sieben Pilgerkirchen von Rom. Der heutige Grundriss geht noch auf die Gründung durch Kaiser Konstantin im 4. Jh. zurück, allerdings wurde die Kirche vom 16. bis zum 18. Jh. barockisiert. Insbesondere die monumentale Fassade stammt aus jener Zeit. ( Pause - Ende Teil 1 ) Die Türen des Hauptportals stammen von der antiken Kurie auf dem Forum Romanum; sie demonstrieren als Spolien Übergang und Kontinuität der Herrschaft in Rom im Papsttum. ( Pause - Ende Teil 2 ) In dem im Mittelalter erweiterten und mit einer neuen Apsis versehenen Chor befinden sich beeindruckende Mosaiken. Sie wurden wie jene in Santa Maria Maggiore von Papst Nikolaus IV. in Auftrag gegeben. In das ursprüngliche Mosaik wurden bei dieser Restaurierung die Figuren der Heiligen Franz von Assisi und Antonius von Padua eingefügt, da Nikolaus IV. Generalminister der Franziskaner gewesen war. ( Pause - Ende Teil 3 ) Über dem Hauptaltar erhebt sich ein Ziborium von 1367 mit den mutmaßlichen Häuptern von Petrus und Paulus. Diese wurden von Urban V. aus ihrer ursprünglichen Ruhestätte, der Sancta Sanctorum entfernt und in das neuerrichtete Ziborium versetzt (s. Abb.). ( Pause - Ende Teil 4 ) Der Kreuzgang des Klosters der Lateranbasilika gilt als einer der schönsten Roms und wurde 1215 bis 1232 errichtet. Die ca. 36 m langen Arkadengänge wurden mit reich ornamentierten, zum Teil gedrehten Säulen ausgestattet. ( Pause - Ende Teil 5 ) Noch bis zum 19. Jahrhundert wurden die Päpste im Lateran gekrönt.
