Inhalant use by 12 and 13 year olds is a marker for future drug use and delinquent behavior, according to a new report by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), released today at a press conference by the National Inhalant Prevention Coalition to kick off National Inhalants & Poisons Awareness Week. Speaker: Jessie, a young woman in treatment for inhalant abuse in Indianapolis. Inhalants affect your brain. Inhalants are substances or fumes from products such as glue or paint thinner that are sniffed or "huffed" to cause an immediate high. Because they affect your brain with much greater speed and force than many other substances, they can cause irreversible physical and mental damage before you know what's happened. Inhalants affect your heart. Inhalants starve the body of oxygen and force the heart to beat irregularly and more rapidly--that can be dangerous for your body. Inhalants damage other parts of your body. People who use inhalants can experience nausea and nosebleeds; develop liver, lung, and kidney problems; and lose their sense of hearing or smell. Chronic use can lead to muscle wasting and reduced muscle tone and strength. Inhalants can cause sudden death. Inhalants can kill you instantly. Inhalant users can die by suffocation, choking on their vomit, or having a heart attack. How can you tell if a friend is using inhalants? Sometimes it's tough to tell. But there are signs you can look for. If your friend has one or more of the following warning signs, he or she may be using inhalants:
Slurred speech
Drunk, dizzy, or dazed appearance
Unusual breath odor
Chemical smell on clothing
Paint stains on body or face
Red eyes
Runny nose
What can you do to help someone who is using inhalants? Be a real friend. Encourage your friend to seek professional help. For information and referrals, call the National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information at 800-729-6686. Public Domain Video. (Less) Channel: youtube

I have viewed every video you have posted. I viewed them before I even knew what Anonymous was. I watched the news reports on Anonymous, I watched your hatred, and I watched the videos that the so called "Scientology" you tubers posted. I then went to the source of Anonymous, on websites such as 4chan dot org and ebaumsworld dot com and looked at all of the posts, and I have concluded that you are nothing but an attention whore with too much time on his redneck hands. My questions to you, Mr. Carnes, are these:
Why would you spend time to make a video about a group of people who were planning to stop scientology?
Why would you make yourself a target and openly invite them to take your life, as you offered with the phrase "I am ready to die for this cause!", and then, not a few videos later, whine about the more maniacal members of Anonmyous trying to kill you?
And finally, my most important question is: Why would you preach about wanting the internet to be free from censorship and control, and then use guilt in an attempt to use the consciences of people against them?
I will answer that last one myself: Because you are, or were, a scientologist. You have a business sort of tone that resembles the speech tone of my old employer when I was a knife salesman, which means you must have some form of sales experience. You use guilt or personal feelings to sway your listeners to either root for you or hate you, which tells me you were a pushy salesman who kept your heart in a dusty box at home so you could make a buck or two. Lastly, and yes, I will use the guilt factor again. You, in one of your videos, say "Think about the future! Do we want to be known for messing up a good thing?!". You employ guilt with that statement, which is the equivalent of "What are your crimes? What woman did you beat today? What life did you ruin?" These are the same qualities that high level scientologists seemingly use to make their potential followers feel like they need salvation.
I urge you to please... SHUT THE FUCK UP!
Your wars on Anonymous will not earn you any followers, and the way you parade your idiotic and childish behavior will only make people hate you more. You lost your war the second you made it public. If Anonymous has ruined your life, then it is through your own actions that provoked the wrath of the technologically skilled members of Anonymous.
I hope you now see reason and that I will not see another video of your endless ignorance and hatred that equals that of the Nazi's and KKK that you so 'strongly' fight against.
Because of you, I am, and we are, Anonymous.
We are Legion.
We do not forgive.
We do not forget.
We are here.
And we are here to stay. (Less) Channel: youtube

By Olga Fyodorova
One day, in the spring of 1962, the phone started ringing in the Moscow apartment of Conservatory Professor Yakov Zak.
"Yes? Where are they calling from? Tbilisi? Put them through, please!" It's got to be Professor Anastasiya Virsaladze, - Professor thought, - and this woman is too no nonsense to call just to chat about trifles! It's got to be something real important. "Hello, Anastasiya, I knew it was you! Want to show me one of your students? Any time! I know how good they are and would be happy to take up any one of them. You give them such great piano training that one needn't bother teaching them the right technique and can move right on to high class! Who's she? How old? Nineteen? So young! You want her to take part in the Tchaikovsky competition?! ... Well, well... And what's her name? Virsaladze?! One of your namesakes or a relative? Your granddaughter?! Bring her in, I will audition her, I promise. A deal? Come over, both of you, I'll be waiting..."
Professor Zak was immediately impressed by young Eliso's playing and even more than that, by her poetic soul, elegant, aristocratic finesse and mature playing manner.
Several months later the 19-year-old Eliso Virsaladze won the third prize at the Tchaikovsky competition -- a real coup de force for such a young pianist.
"Her playing is so amazingly harmonious and poetic," went one such account, "her command of the instrument is absolutely amazing and her sound palette would make many more experienced players envious..."
Eliso Virsaladze was born into an artistic family in the Georgian capital Tbilisi. Her grandmother Anastasia, one of the republic's best known music teachers, set the tone as an excellent musician and a wise and bighearted woman.
Eliso started playing in competitions early on. Starting out winning a number of regional ones she then moved on to win bronze at the 1961 competition of young performers and later finished third participating in the prestigious Tchaikovsky international competition in Moscow. Several years later she triumphed at the Schumann international competition at Zwickau, Germany. Her childhood penchant for romantically-tinged music eventually made her one of the world's best performers of Schubert, Chopin and, above all, Schumann...
Graduating from the Tbilisi Conservatory, Eliso Virsaladze continued her education doing postgraduate work at the Moscow Conservatory in the class of her good old friend Professor Yakov Zak who was carefully honing her exceptional skills...
Tight-lipped and introverted, Eliso still proved a perfect friend and stage partner well-known colleagues really loved to play with. Always sensitive and attentive to her partner's ways, Eliso enjoyed ensemble playing and each her concert with the famous Borodin string quartet was a celebration...
Her partnership with the brilliant cellist Natalya Gutman has also been a head-spinning success...
Partnering with the Borodon string quartet, Natalya Gutman and others, Eliso Virsaladze played at top-notch European chamber music festivals, including the December Nights festival in Moscow organized by the late pianist Svyatoslav Richter.
Playing with the formidable Richter was a great honor and responsibility and Eliso still retains warm and tender memories of those unforgettable moments... Svyatoslav Richter is gone now but his December Nights festival lives on and Eliso Virsaladze always makes sure to be there...
Eliso is a world-renowned pianist playing at the world's most prestigious venues, teaching at the Moscow Conservatory, giving master classes around the world, and making excellent recordings...
Once, years back, her grandmother told her: "If you want to achieve much, never hurry. You should feel as if you had all the time in the world. Only a free person has time for everything..."
That's exactly what Eliso Virsaladze, a brilliant pianist, a beautiful woman and an extremely talented person, has been doing all her life... (Less) Channel: youtube

Our first lick of the week features the 'woman tone.' This is an affectionate term coined to describe the thick, mellow neck-pickup sound (usually with the treble rolled way down) of a Gibson humbucking-equipped electric guitar coupled with a powerful, overdriven high-gain amplifier. In England this invariably meant a Gibson Les Paul and a Marshall Super Lead amp. The 'woman tone' added much to the singing, sustaining lines of the British blues-rock players' music, and came to influence numerous guitarists, including Guns `N Roses' Slash-listen to the riff of 'Sweet Child O' Mine.' This lick is played in E over the E-D chord progression indigenous to the Mixolydian Mode. The melody is based on the E Mixolydian Mode (E-F#-G#-A-B-C#-D) and uses C#-D half-step bend throughout the emphasize the significant sixth and seventh tones of the mode. (Less) Channel: youtube

Microsoft Game (More) Alan Wake is a video game being developed by Remedy Entertainment, the Finnish company behind the Max Payne games. Alan Wake is billed as a "psychological action thriller". Microsoft Game Studios is the publisher of the game.
-------------------------------------
THE STORY:
Alan Wake is a bestselling horror writer. Early on in his career, his fiancée Alice, was his muse. Just prior to meeting her, he had started to have strange dreams which he used as material for his first book. The book was a big success, a dream come true. But then Wake's fiancée vanished without a trace. Wake was devastated. He couldn't write anymore, his dreams stopped and he began to suffer from insomnia. At the beginning of the game, Wake travels to a sleep clinic to seek treatment for his condition. The secluded clinic is located near the small town of Bright Falls, Washington, far away from the stressful urban lifestyle. Receiving treatment at the clinic, Wake is able to sleep again. At the clinic, he meets a mysterious woman who is the very image of his missing fiancée, uncannily so. At once, his dreams return, this time as terrible nightmares. Wake begins to write again: a new book based on those nightmares. But something is horribly, horribly wrong. Impossibly, the town of Bright Falls starts to change to something awful that bears a close resemblance to Wake's new book. Wake ends up fighting for his life with a gun and a flashlight in his hands, trying to understand what's happening.
-------------------------------------
GAMEPLAY:
The name "Bright Falls" has a meaning. The game promises to have photo-realistic graphic qualities, realistic pixel shading, and dynamic shadows that change according to the position of the sun. To avoid lags and hangs, the game will benefit from a high end PC and the Xbox 360.
The dark-forces (enemies) coming to 'take care of' Alan Wake are vulnerable to light. So the most useful weapon of all is actually the flashlight. You will be able to place booby traps which will illuminate when executed, etc. Light will weaken or hurt Wake's enemies, and creatively taking advantage of any and all light sources within Alan Wake's grim world ought to be one of the interesting aspects of play.
Like Max Payne before it, the title Alan Wake has a double meaning. Combining the main character's first initial with his last name forms "A.Wake," or "Awake".
Remedy Entertainment also promised a free-roam 3-dimensional city, similarly as in the Grand Theft Auto series.
"The basic idea with the free-roaming world is that we give the player goals, and then the player can go about achieving those goals in the way he chooses. Alan Wake is more tightly character-driven and story-oriented. Meaning that the player's goals and missions are closely focused around Alan Wake and his story. Also, the setting, the tone and the game being an action thriller all set it clearly apart from the GTA games." -- Sam Lake
"Intense cinematic action is something that we love to do, and Alan Wake features tense combat gameplay as well, but all things considered the game has a lot more emphasis on adventure and exploration than what Max Payne did. Driving is an integral part of the game" - Petri Järvilehto.
There will be no multiplayer in this game. "We'd much rather give the players a great single-player game, than a mediocre single and multiplayer game." -Petri Järvilehto.

These are the same qualities that high level scientologists seemingly use to make their potential followers feel like they need salvation.

Description: EXIT was inspired by a newspaper story about the suicide of a young woman working in London's sex industry, and was a film I made when I was sixteen years old on the most basic standard...

Description: Kohaku-Chan was knocked out and beaten to near death by this stranger?!?! Ciel was on her way home and,Akiha and Hisui were in bed no doubt oblivious to the situation... I Gritted my teeth Shiki: (More) Kohaku-Chan was knocked out and beaten to near death by this stranger?!?! Ciel was on her way home and,Akiha and Hisui were in bed no doubt oblivious to the situation... I Gritted my teeth Shiki: WHO THE HELL ARE YOU! Aragon: I was sent to find the girl named Akaitsuki. I heard you had information on her. Or rather access to someone who does. SHIKI: And you were willing to harm Kohaku over that?! Aragon: I admit the decision was hard. Between holding he or your sister...I guess I made the right choice. SHIKI: Not quite! You picked the wrong guy to mess with! Kohaku doesn't deserve this! I am going to make this guy wish that woman he was looking for was his only problem! --------------------------------- Aghh....almost there...I'm beginning tothink that walking through the forest was a bad idea...crap...that wasn't another cat was it? Ciel: Kid? You aren't supposed to be in japan. She said those words but the calm and impersonal tone suggested not only did she know that I was here, she was EXPECTING me....however at that moment... I wasn't really paying much attention though...she wasn't in her professor's outfit or even in casual attire! She was instead dressed in a a dark blue nun's robe and a pair of high laced boots. To be perfectly honest she looked rather attractive considering that she was my aunt...though she looked a bit foreign to me without her glasses. Jean: Ciel what is with that get up?!?! I replied as soon as I had snapped out of that trance..... I didn't get a straight response. Instead I got the opportunity to dodge a short sword thrown at neck level Jean: CIEL?! Now this is getting scary...she really tried to kill me just then! Ciel: I'll be honest with you,for once. I am not your aunt. I am the 7th member of the burial agency. An organization devoted to destroying monsters such as yourself. And without delay Ciel,my care taker, my friend, and the only woman I could have called my mother charged with the intent to kill me..I..I don't want to do this... +++++++++++++++++++++ And I STILL lack a name for it... ...Holy crap thi was a pain....
