"Yeah, I actually have some news for everyone. That was Hollywood. They got you guys on the tour with Lemonade Parade." [A.N. OK, so my friends are the band in the story and i let them choose the name and that's what they picked, but we're pretending that they're a really popular band also signed by Disney lol]
"What?" Nick said.
"We're going on tour with Lemonade Parade?" Joe said in disbelief.
"Yep, and they're giving us a bus, so no more traveling in a van."
"Oh my God, this is awesome!" Joe and Nick said. I put my arm around Nick as a congratulations.
"I'm sorry I got upset. You can answer your phone at dinner any time you want," Kevin said.
Kevin Sr. laughed. "They told me they were calling today. I was hoping they'd call before dinner, but I didn't want to miss it leaving the phone in my room like I normally do."
"Told you the fact that he brought his phone meant it was important," Nick said.
"Yes, yes, you're a genius," Joe joked.
"Thank you," Nick said as if he was serious.
"So what's gonna happen to me while you guys are away?" I asked.
"Well, you're coming with us of course," Kevin Sr. said.
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Am I going too?" Frankie asked.
"No, Frankie, we're leaving you here alone," Joe said. Frankie immediately broke out in tears. How'd he cry at the drop of a hat like that?
"Jeez, calm down, I was kidding."
"That wasn't nice," Frankie sniffled.
"Yeah, Joe, that wasn't nice," Kevin added.
"Yeah, not nice," Nick and I added.
"God, what is it? Gang up on Joe day?"
"All right, this has gotten out of hand," Kevin Sr. said. "Everyone is going."
"This is gonna be so awesome."
{Ella's P.O.V.}
I missed Jersey so much. I know it sounds crazy, but it felt like home to me now. I talked to Kevin everyday, more than once a day sometimes, but it wasn't the same. I missed him so much. And I missed Jordan, all of them actually. Laura hadn't been back. She had missed a whole week of classes. I had no idea where she was or what she was doing, but I was worried.
One afternoon, I walked back to my room after class only to find all my stuff in piles in the hallway. "What the hell?" I said, going to the door. I tried to open the door, but there was a latch lock closed from the inside. "Hey!" I shouted.
Laura opened the door. "Hello."
"What's your problem?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Oh stop it Laura. Why is my stuff in the hall and why is there a chain on the door?"
"Well, I figured since you were all buddy buddy with the Jonases now, you'd be going to live with them or something."
"Well, you figured wrong. I still need to go to school."
"Hmm, we have a problem then."
"Let me in," I snapped.
"No, this isn't your room anymore."
"What?"
"I have a new roommate."
"You can't just do that."
"I think I can because I'm in the room and you're not."
"Laura, come on, we don't have to like each other, but we need a place to live."
"Talk to your new friends about it," she snapped and shut the door.
I screamed and put my hand to my forehead. Then I took out my phone.

yeah, so i really want some more comments before i post again. you guys wrote on the new series that you want me to continue this, but you're not showing it, and Bluer Skies is feeling a little unloved lol.
so the consensus seemed to be that you guys wanted me to do both at the same time. so i'm gonna try that. I'll prob continue this one for awhile with starting the new one and maybe end this (at least for now) and concentrate on the other but i'm not sure. I guess it depends on how writing them goes. They'll probably be the 1st chapter of So Close Yet So Far (that title seemed to be the fave) tomorrow but no promises.

Anyway, hospital was actually oddly relaxing. besides having a million wires coming out of my head and not having a computer or my ipod, it was actually okay. one of the doctors saw me reading a JB magazine and she got really excited. and then she like freaked when i told her i met them briefly this summer lol. it was kinda funny. And now the stuff they attached the wires with won't come out of my hair, it's so annoying lol. Anyway, make sure you've read chapter 36 and all.

{Jordan's P.O.V.}
Nick got out of the hospital the next day, and we were closer than ever. We hung out with Kevin and Ella a lot for the last 3 days she was in town. But soon she had to go back to school. We hadn't heard from Laura at all, and Ella was scared to death to go back to her, and I was scared for her. Truth was, I was terrified Laura was up to something, and her lack of contact only made me more scared. Laura was not the kind of girl to just give up.
Kevin was a mess too. He had really fallen for that girl. I mean all of us hated to see her go. She had become like a sister to me. But for Kevin, well, all I can say is I was scared he wouldn't make it. And he had a hard time, God, he had a hard time, but he was slowly getting back to normal. He and Ella talked on the phone ALL THE TIME. When she had gotten back, Laura wasn't there, and that didn't help me feel any better.
It had been a week since Ella had left. Things had fallen back into our regular routine. The guys were still working on their album, every morning Joe, Nick, and I did school, Sundays we went to church, we did chores, we ate dinner together, and we had bed times. Now we sat at the dinner table.
"Mom, I hear my phone ringing," Kevin whined.
"You know the rules, no phones at dinner."
"What if something's wrong?"
"I'm sure nothing's wrong."
"How can you be sure?"
"Because if there was and she couldn't get you she'd call the house or one of the other kids," Denise explained rationally.
"Why do they all get to keep their phones and I have to leave mine in the other room?"
"Because they weren't texting during dinner."
"Well, it's not my fault I don't have my girlfriend living in the same room as me." He shot a glance at Nick who had put one of his arms on the back of my chair and the other on the table as he leaned over to whisper something to me.
"Dude," Nick said, looking over his shoulder at Kevin.
"What? I mean do you guys ever take a break?"
"Wow, talk about deflecting your upset on someone else."
"You know what...?" Kevin started, but Denise stopped him.
"Kevin, no phone at dinner, no matter where your girlfriend is or isn't. And Nick, he's right, sit back, and let's just eat our dinner."
"Fine," they both mumbled as Nick sat back in his chair and Kevin pushed his food around some.
We all sat silently for a minute. Frankie started humming and all of us rolled our eyes and quietly groaned. Then Kevin Sr's phone rang. "I'm sorry, but I have to take this," he said, getting up. "Hello?" he said into the phone as he walked out of the room.
"So i can't have my phone at dinner, but Dad can just answer his like that?" Kevin said.
"It's probably work related. Some from the church must really need him."
"Must be really important for him to answer his phone during dinner," I said.
"Must be really important for him to even BRING his phone to dinner," Nick added.
"Can I have a cell phone?" Frankie asked.
"No, you're 6," Denise answered simply.
"But everyone else has one."
"Well, they didn't when they were 6."
"Yeah, cell phones didn't even really exist when we were 6," Joe said.
"NO!" Frankie said in disbelief.
"I think they were invented when i was 6, but only about 10 people had them and they were the size of bricks," I added.
"What'd you do if you had to get in touch with someone who was out of the house?"
"You were out of luck," I said, shrugging.
"How barbaric," Frankie said, and we all laughed in shock.
Kevin sr. came back in. "Sorry about that," he said, sitting down.
"It's okay," Denise said. "Everything okay?"
"Yeah, I actually have some news for everyone..."

All of us sat in shock. We hadn't known Kevin was gonna be admitting anything. I looked over at the girls, both their mouths were wide open and Jordan seemed as if she was holding Ella up.
"And there's silence again," Craig said, and we all laughed, mostly out of nerves. "So Joe?"
"Oh me too?" Joe joked.
"Yes, you're the one really in the spotlight right now, after all."
"Mhmm," Joe said, and I saw him texting someone under the table.
"So what can you tell us about you and Jillian? I mean the picture does most of the talking for you, but..."
"Well, actually, obviously, everyone assumes things from the picture. I don't blame you, I would too. But the situation is actually more complicated than that."
Kevin and I looked at him. This was the first time we had heard of any of this. "Your brothers look confused," Craig pointed out. I guess he had to. We were on the radio after all.
"Yeah, no one's heard this yet," Joe continued. "See Jillian really is just a friend, and she was helping me out. Truth is, I really like this other girl, but we can't be together openly. I know it sounds stupid, the whole Romeo and Juliet thing, but it's a complicated situation. My ex was bugging me, and Jillian helped me out. And now the girl I really like thinks I'm cheating. But, if you're listening, that's the real story. I hope you believe it."
"Wow, well, sorry girls, but it sounds like all three boys are taken men, but we can still appreciate their music, so let's take a listen to their song Mandy, and we'll be right back."
We went off the air.
"Sorry about being so hard on you guys," Craig said, taking his headphones off.
"We understand," Kevin said.
The door to the studio opened, and everyone came in. Jordan ran to me and hugged me. "I can't believe you just did that," she said as she sat down on my lap.
"You don't mind do you?"
"No, if you're sure you're okay with it."
"Never been more sure," I said and then kissed her. The girls outside either screamed or cheered. She looked down embarrassed. "Hey, don't worry about it."
"Okay." She rest her head on my shoulder, and I kissed her forehead.
{Kevin's P.O.V.}
Ella slowly walked over to me. "You never stop surprising me, Jonas," she said.
"You're not mad, are you?"
"No, but aren't your fans gonna be upset?"
"I don't care about them. I just care about you."
"You're so sweet," she said and hugged me.
I saw Dad walking towards me. I got a little worried and pulled out of the hug, keeping my arm around Ella. "I'm sorry Dad. I know we only talked about Nick admitting, but...are you mad?"
He laughed a little. "No, I'm proud of you, son," he said, putting his hand on my shoulder.
"Thanks Dad."
{Joe's P.O.V.}
I looked at my phone again. I had checked it practically every other minute, just to be sure I hadn't missed a call or text from Cassie. It was stupid, but I had been doing it ever since we left the radio station earlier. I just hoped she had heard, that she had believed me. Jordan came in and walked over to me.
"How'd you get in?" I asked.
"Ma gave me the extra key," she said, sitting down on the couch opposite me.
"Nick's in the bedroom, I think he's sleeping though."
"Okay, thanks," she said, but didn't move.
"Um...?"
"All right, spill."
"Excuse me?"
"Tell me about this girl."
"Oh um..."
"Come on, I'm not gonna rat you out or whatever to whoever's not supposed to know."
"Fine, if you promise you won't tell."
"I promise."
"All right, so Emilia's younger sister..."
"No way!"
"Be a little louder, why don't you?"
"Sorry."
"As I was saying, Emilia's younger sister, Cassie, I really like her, and we'd been hanging out without anyone knowing, and we were having a lot of fun."
"Then you should go for it. Screw what other people think."
"It's just that Cassie keeps insisting that Emilia is blackmailing her with something and she's really freaked about it."

"Yeah, I really think I do."
"Okay, so we figure out a way that Emilia won't find out."
"And how are we gonna do that?"
"I don't know yet, but between the two of us, I think we can figure it out."

There was a knock on the door. I looked at her. "It's probably Ma," she said.
"She didn't give you the key, you just took it, didn't you?"

I laughed and went to open the door. Then I shot a worried look at Jordan. She peeked to see who it was and then stood up. "I'm gonna go bother Nick," she said and went to the bedroom.

Also, pardon my comments about the seat belt, but almost nobody in Japan that I encountered ever wore their seat belt. Having worked in the trauma ED, I can't keep my mouth shut about seat belts...Japan seemed to be filled with cute little sounds everywhere, like the ring of our driver's cell phone which you can hear as we turn the corner at the ocean. For me, seeing the Pacific Ocean from the shores of a different country had its own excitement even though it was not so different from a coastline in California or Oregon. The water really is bluer though, just like in the famous prints. I always thought of the ocean as a huge tub of blueberry juice. The water was perfectly warm and there were little jelly fish which would sting every now and then, but that just added to the flavor of my experience there. (Less) Channel: youtube
