Jewish people were well known for the manipulation of scriptures which Christ Jesus called the "old cloth" developing holes and the clever Bishops found no difficulty in manipulating the Gospel, the New Testament into the present Bible, the mix of the Torah (Old Cloth) and the Gospel (New Cloth) that being not compatible with each other made the Bible a Book that is most confusing for any sensible person. But for the once born who had no logical reasoning capability, it hardly made any difference. And no wonder the Gentile and the Gnostics called the Christians the people of the Book for their brain washing by their Bishops. Former Vice President Al Gore's daughter is taking on film writing. Kristin Gore is reportedly writing a satirical movie...expected to star Jessica Beil and Jake Gyllenhaal. The comedy called "Nailed" will apparently be about a sex obsessed lobbyist who finds herself being taken advantage of by an immoral congressman. David O. Russell is co-writing the movie with Gore, and will also direct it. There's no word on a release date yet.
Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie hit the red carpet last night for the premiere of her new film. In the movie "Beowulf," Jolie plays the mother of a demon. Even though her character is evil, the actress tells reporters she connected with her character's maternal side. The film, which uses digitally enhanced backgrounds also features big stars like Crispin Glover and Anthony Hopkins. It's set to hit theaters next Friday.

The most well known symbol of May Day (1st May) is the maypole. The custom of dancing around the maypole is an ancient fertility rite, which is still performed today on village greens and at spring fetes.
The origins of the maypole hark back to ancient times when tree spirits were worshiped and indeed the first maypoles were tall slender trees, usually birch, which had their branches lopped off, leaving just a few at the top to be adorned with garlands and blossom: a far cry from the more elaborate designs of today.
The maypole itself is a phallic symbol representing the planting of the god's phallus into the mother earth's womb, there by illustrating the bringing forth of new life. In addition some maypoles are painted with red and white spiral stripes in much the same way as a barber's pole and this too has sexual meaning: the red representing the female menstrual blood and the white the male semen. The sexual symbolism of the maypole and all the immoral revelry that went along with it led the Puritans to out-law the maypole custom in 1644. However, this prohibition was soon repealed after the restoration of Charles II in 1660. Many towns and parishes erected permanent maypoles in celebration, some boasting 80 or 90 feet! These permanent poles were left to stand throughout the year but only decorated and danced around on May Day.
Dancing around the maypole was once a very merry and frivolous affair, yet today's maypole dancing with its colourful ribbons is a relatively modern dance, only dating back to the nineteenth century. However, this new adaptation is now accepted as a very important aspect of the maypole dance. By taking two ribbons and weaving them together the dancers make a new element, thus two makes three representing the sexual union and the offspring.

LUCKNOW: In a chilling reminder of the Imrana case, yet another young woman from Muzaffarnagar who allegedly fell victim to her father-in-law's sexual assault faces a bleak future after mullahs called for the annulment of her marriage.
On July 6, Salma (25), an unlettered mother of two kids, returned to her parental home in Islamnagar, Muzaffarnagar, after she was allegedly raped by her father-in-law over a period of six months. Salma's father, Raisuddin, filed a criminal complaint with the police under section 376-506 IPC in Ghaziabad, and the accused, Salma's father-in-law Akbar, has been jailed.
But in the process her four-year-old marriage to Azad has virtually ended after clerics ruled their reunion as 'haraam'.
"A woman who has had a sexual liaison with her husband's father cannot be his consort anymore. A divorce is a must," Mufti Maulana Imran, senior cleric from Darul Uloom Deoband, said on Monday after his view was sought. The prescribed punishment in the case, he maintained, was 'sangsar' or public stoning of the victim and the culprit until death.
In 2007, Imrana's case, which was broadly similar with the clerics declaring her marriage null and void after she was raped by her father-in-law, had led to a tsunami of criticism of the mullahs who have been treading cautiously on inter-personal issues ever since.
Maulana Khurshid Alam Qazmi, another mufti from Darul Uloom, when contacted by TOI, refused to discuss "a religious edict" on phone.
"In any case there are so many fatwas issued from Deoband that it's next to impossible for me to remember any details," he said.
But Mufti Imran was more forthright. "Such a relationship as in the particular case is totally immoral and can't be condoned," he told reporters on Monday.
"The couple must separate. They are free to marry any other man or woman on a later date but their nikah is void under Islam," he said.
The mufti also ruled that "children in this case (Salma has one two-year-old and a four-month-old son) must be looked after by the father who is entitled to their custody". The woman, the mufti clarified, "cannot be exonerated for such a thing cannot happen without her consent."
According to Raisuddin's FIR lodged on July 5, Akbar was sexually abusing Salma for the last six months. It says Akbar told her that if she opposed his overtures he would have her father and brother killed. He also used firearms to coerce her. "The husband is under the father's influence and can't protest.
Moreover, Akbar has promised him another wife," the FIR says. Salma, who was virtually under house arrest, spoke about her trauma to a visiting aunt and asked her to approach Raisuddin and save her. (Less)
