www.lsq.tv for all the premieres
A rare world premiere in the Square this afternoon and dozens of celebs turned out on the red carpet on this wet Sunday to support our unofficial British Ambassador for UK film, Commander James Bond's alter ego and genuinely blue-eyed boy Daniel Craig. Daniel is a darling with the fans, spending multiples more time fanside than with the media. He signed the entire fanline, posed for them, acted as photographer for headshots and even kissed one very lucky birthday girl. Roxy Music are on the soundtrack and Brian Ferry and his three sons competed for "who looks best in a lounge suit", but it was Daniel Craig who won hands down. The cast of the film were in attendance, the ladies looking gorgeous in their designer best, setting the paps bulbs flashing and the media calling for interviews. A few errant celebs were spotted having a drag on the balcony, notably a newly blonde Lily Allen who accompanied brother Alfie. Emilia Fox who appears in this film and is lead in the excellent Cashback (out in May) looked every inch a star. So in summary, a really nice premiere with all the right ingredients.

(More) Canción de Roxie Music del disco Avalon. Lo mejor de todo es como empieza la canción con esa guitarra de Phil Manzanera. Aquí os adjunto la letra:
As they say, two can play
But keep that song away from me
In my time too much love
Has made me sad for so long
I was blind, can't you see
Through the long lonely night
Heaven knows, I believe
Won't you take a chance with me
Sometimes I get so blue
People say I'm just a fool
All the world, even you
Should learn to love the way I do
I was blind, can't you see
Through the long lonely night
Heaven knows, I believe
Won't you take a chance with me (Less) Channel: youtube

Though some practical-joke shenanigans on the ferry over from the mainland lead to unexpected bloodshed and put a damper on the festivities, Buffy unleashes a flood of more benign pranks on her guests, setting a tone of giddy abandon. With plenty of randy guys and gals on hand and no parental supervision, it isn't long before drunken escapades ensue. As the weekend progresses, however, guests begin to disappear mysteriously, and before long Buffy and friends find themselves huddling in terror in their remote getaway. The next ferry isn't due until Monday, and the partygoers aren't sure whether any of them will make it that long. The mostly Canadian cast of April Fool's Day includes Leah King Pinsent, daughter of actor/director Gordon Pinsent, and Amy Steel, a veteran of the second and fourth Friday the 13th installments. His biggest and most remembered single was "Games People Play" (1968), a Top 10 hit on both sides of the Atlantic. It won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Song, the Grammy Award for Song of the Year, and which bears a striking resemblance to the children's gospel song, "I Don't Want to Be a Pharisee". It was featured on his first album, Introspect. He had met and was encouraged by Bill Lowery, an Atlanta music publisher and radio personality. He began his recording career in Atlanta with National Recording Corporation, where he served as staff guitarist along with other NRC artists Ray Stevens and Jerry Reed. South's earliest recordings have been re-released by NRC on CD. South's compositions have been recorded by many artists. They include Billy Joe Royal's hits "Down in the Boondocks" and "Hush" (later a hit for Deep Purple and Kula Shaker), the Osmonds' hit "Yo-Yo," and Elvis Presley's Las Vegas-era version of "Walk a Mile in My Shoes", also recorded by Bryan Ferry and Coldcut. South's most commercially successful composition is Lynn Anderson's 1971 country/pop monster hit "(I Never Promised You a) Rose Garden", which was a hit in 16 countries worldwide. Lynn Anderson won a Grammy Award for her vocals and South won a Grammy Award for writing the song. South would go on to write more hits for Anderson such as, "How Can I Unlove You" (Billboard #1) and "Fool Me" (Billboard #3). South was also a prominent sideman, recording the memorable guitar part on Aretha Franklin's "Chain of Fools", Tommy Roe's "Sheila" as well as appearing on Bob Dylan's album Blonde on Blonde. He also played the electric guitar part that was added to Simon & Garfunkel's first hit, "The Sound of Silence". The suicide of his brother, Tommy, drove South into a deep depression.[citation needed] Tommy had been his backing band's drummer and accompanied South not only in live performances, but also on recording sessions when South produced hits for other artists, including Billy Joe Royal, Sandy Posey, and Friend & Lover. South was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1979. In 1988 Dutch DJ, Jan Donkers, interviewed South for VPRO-radio. The radio show that aired the interview also played four new songs by South, but a new record was not released. In 1994 South played several concerts in England. On 13 September 2003 South was inducted into Georgia Music Hall of Fame, and played together with Buddy Buie, J.R. Cobb and Chips Moman at the induction ceremony. [edit] (Less) Channel: 123video
