If you want to use your portable dvd player as a camera LCD viewer, keep on watching.
First of all, i'd like to thank David Tajeda for his video on portrait phoography where he displayed his use of a DVD player as a camera LCD. If it wasn't for that video, i probably would have pushed off getting a DVD player for that purpose.
In this video, I've also customized my camera bag to be used as a rig to hold the portable dvd player for view.
Tools needed
1.Video cable that came with your DVD player along with the RadioShack Gold Series 1/8" Mono Plug to RCA Phono Jack Model: 274-897
2.Radio Shack 16-Ft. Computer Speaker Cable, 1/8" Jack to 1/8" Plug Model: 42-2493 (for extended reach)
3.Panasonic Portable DVD player (any dvd player with a video in should work)
4.Box cutter
5.Velcro
6.Lowepro toploader 75 AW
First i will start with the DVD player to Camera connection
1.You will need the A/V cable that came with your DVD player which you will then connect to the RadioShack Gold Series 1/8' mono plug to RCA phono Jack Model:274-897
2.Now take the original 1/8" plug and connect to the DVD player, once that is complete take the the Yellow RCA end with the 1/8" mono plug to RCA Phono adapter and plug to your camera. the video out is located camera left for the Nikon D200. Make sure the plug is securely inserted before use.
3.Now turn on the DVD player and set to AUX
4.Now turn on the Camera
5.click on the menu button for a test and if you see the menu screen on the DVD LCD screen you've succeeded.
6.If you need a little more distance from the Camera to the DVD LCD viewer to allow the art director/ or Photography assistant to view the images from a far. You then unplug the A/V cable connected to your camera and take the A/V cable with the adaptor and locate the Radio Shack 16-Ft. Computer Speaker Cable, 1/8' Jack to 1/8' Plug
7.Now plug the Yellow RCA with the Gold Series 1/8' mono plug to the female end of the Radio Shack 16-ft Computer Speaker Cable 1/8" Jack to 1/8" plug. Make sure it is securely inserted.
8.Now plug the 1/8" end of the 16-ft computer cable extender and plug into your camera.
9.Switch the camera on and click Menu on your camera and wait for the menu screen to appear on the DVD LCD screen.
10.Now you have added another 16-feet to your tethered DVD LCD viewer
Second i will go over the DVD LCD Viewer rig
1.You will need the Velcro for this step along with the Lowepro toploader 75AW camera bag.
2.You will then cut out about 4-5 inches of the soft half of the Velcro and saw on to the top cover of the camera bag as you see here.
3.Then you will take the plastic half of the velcro and place the self adhesive velcro to the bottom of the DVD player. As you can see i've cut into different sized pieces so i could avoid covering the screw holes just in case you would want to open the device.
4.Now it is time to velcro these two items together.
5.Place the camera bag down belly down with the bushy velcro portion facing you.
6.now take the DVD player with the plastic half of the velcro below it and open up the screen and prep in a position where once connected to the bag the LCD is at a viewable angle.
7.Now here is the side view of the two items velcroed together.
8.With this particular setup, you have the option of viewing the LCD with the camera bag on it's belly or upright for better viewing when sitting in the car.

Cavalera Conspiracy is a Brazilian Thrash Metal band. The band consists of Max Cavalera (Sepultura co-founder and Soulfly founder) on vocals and rhythm guitar, Igor Cavalera (Sepultura co-founder) on drums, Soulfly guitarist Marc Rizzo and Joe Duplantier (guitarist and vocalist from Gojira) on bass. The name of the band has been changed from Inflikted to Cavalera Conspiracy due to legal reasons. Cavalera Conspiracy's debut record is currently expected to be released by Roadrunner Records on March 25, 2008.Though the band experienced success previously, Chaos A.D. was their breakthrough album. Chaos A.D. displayed a more groove-driven direction which helped usher the then-forming groove metal genre. This was viewed as a departure from the thrash metal and death metal styling of their earlier efforts and many fans believe they sold out.
The band also included an acoustic, percussion-led instrumental called "Kaiowas" on the album. This became an interesting focus of later live shows, with the band joining fellow bands onstage, and sometimes featured group drum playing.
The album showcased a collaboration with Dead Kennedys' Jello Biafra ("Biotech Is Godzilla") and Evan Seinfeld of Biohazard ("Slave New World"), as well as a cover version of New Model Army's "The Hunt".
The song, Refuse/Resist, was featured on one of Manga Entertainment's 90's VHS trailers containing Genocyber, Cyber City Oedo 808, Urotsukidoji, Devilman, Akira among others. Territory" was released in 1993 with "Policia" (Titãs) and "Biotech Is Godzilla".
"Refuse/Resist" was released in 1994 with "Crucificados Pelo Sistema" (Ratos de Porao), "Inhuman Nature" (Final Conflict), "Drug Me" (Dead Kennedys), "Dead Embryonic Cells (Live)", "Desperate Cry (Live)", "Orgasmatron (Live)" (Motörhead).
"Slave New World" was released in 1994 with "Crucificados Pelo Sistema" (Ratos de Porao), "Drug Me" (Dead Kennedys),"Orgasmatron (Live)" (Motörhead)."Refuse/Resist" is the opening track, and single of the Brazilian thrash metal band Sepultura's 1993 album Chaos A.D. The Roots of Sepultura, a limited edition 2-CD set, released in 1997, also contains Roots in its entirety.While still including the groove metal/death metal sound that featured on Chaos A.D., Roots also incorporated a slower, detuned, nu metal-influenced sound. Sounds journalist Chris Roberts compares singer Julianne Regan to Kate Bush and describes the song as "a gouache Baltic ballad with stirring vocal interplay and a heart like a dynamometer." Their second single 'In The Clouds' was released to unanimous critical acclaim. It was named Single Of The Week in Sounds. The next single 'Our Summer' was awarded Single Of The Week in Melody Maker. In 1987, All About Eve signed a deal with music industry giants Phonogram and set about writing and recording their first album. The album went double-gold, selling in excess of a quarter of a million copies in a short space of time. It also spawned five hit singles, including the haunting acoustic ballad 'Martha's Harbour'' which went Top Ten and spent over two months in the Charts. From such an incredible start, the band eventually split in 1992. In 2000 the band reformed and performed a sell-out Christmas 2000 show at London's Union Chapel. In December 2001, they repeated their sell-out of the Union Chapel, which looks like becoming an annual event. In May 2002 they went back on the road as an electric tour of the UK. 'Cinemasonic', this 'Live and unoverdubbed' DVD was shot during that tour. It includes the full set of 18 songs (including the 6 new ones and a David Bowie cover) and bonus features include an additional 15 minutes of 'candid' backstage footage. As the only ever official live All About Eve visual, it is a valid release and not just a 'filler' before the 'real' album. This DVD is a mixture of new (previously unreleased) songs and All About Eve classics such as; 'Flowers In Our Hair', 'In The Clouds' and 'Every Angel'. (Less)

Soulfly are an American heavy metal band from Phoenix, Arizona formed in 1997. Led by founder, frontman, songwritter and only constant member Max Cavalera, the band has released five studio albums, one tour EP, and one DVD video.
Soulfly incorporates thrash metal, groove metal, and nu metal with Brazilian tribal music, and world music. The band has had all five of their studio albums debut on the United States Billboard 200, with a peak position at number 32 with their second album Primitive, and the band's debut album, Soulfly, has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Brazilian thrash metal singer Max Cavalera formed Soulfly after he left the band Sepultura in 1996. He recruited a lineup of Roy Mayorga on drums (formerly of Thorn), Jackson Bandeira on guitar (formerly of Chico Science & Nação Zumbi) and former Sepultura roadie Marcello D. Rapp (Marcello Diaz formerly of The Mist) on bass with Cavalera on guitar and vocals.
On the band's website, Max Cavalera said that he founded the band "with the idea of combined sounds and spiritual beliefs." As well as leaving one of the world's most popular thrash metal bands, he had to deal with the unsolved murder of his stepson and best friend Dana Wells. The first self-titled album, Soulfly was released in the spring of 1998 and reached number 79 on the Billboard 200.
Besides fronting Soulfly, Cavalera has branched out into other areas usually not associated with heavy metal musicians. He became a much-sought-after speaker at music conventions, as evidenced by his appearances at CMJ's New Music Marathon in New York and Holland's Crossing Boarder Festival, both in late 1997, and signed on to sing a TV commercial for Sprite in his native land of Brazil.

The images and the ideas in the anime give a very religious tone and I tried to convey the whole thought of watching things slip away and watching and hoping for someone special in your life to make it through tough times. The title is derived from two things, see the song can be taken three ways, either it is sung thru the eyes of God or sung thru the eyes of someone watching a friend in these moments or it is both. So "Thru the Eyes of Love" is basically the eyes that love are seeing this happen. Anyway, this video in my opinion, is the best video I have done. Only because I felt everything was perfect in imagery and mood, and it really got a deep emotional response out of me, and none of my other videos have done that. Oh yeah, the R1 DVD for Wings of Honneamise sucks, don't buy it, buy the R2. Well, I hope you enjoy this video and get whatever you want out of it. (Less)
