Christian goes to the railroad bridge to confront John and the haunting memory of his past. [Deleted Scenes] As seen in ANNA'S REBIRTH if you accept a bottle of water from John it is laced with a lot of heavy drugs. If this scene we're re-edited to include the extra footage you would see John giving Christian a tainted bottle of water after smoking the marijuanna which leads to Christian's break from reality. He pictures them back in John's childhood bedroom where the sexual abuse took place. There is also a powerful scene missing that explains how the game of Russian Roulette begins. John pulls a gun out of his bag and explains that the stakes are "winner takes all for Anna" as John loads a single bullet and Christian tries to stop him as he puts the gun to his head and pulls the trigger to an empty chamber. [Brandon's Commentary] The painful and emotional ending to the motion picture EMPTYLAND. This scene destroys me every time because it is from such a personal place but the irony that really tears me up stems from the day we went to the bridge to film this scene: (Jordon+Clint & Brandon+Tommy)... two couples so in love who are all broken now in life after EMPTYLAND. In a way this scene came true and we all self destructed. Sometimes movies are based on reality. Every time I see this scene it's like a thousand knives cutting me all over but I think it's time I finally posted the second hour of EMPTYLAND. Someday I hope to secure a distribution deal for the film and re-edit the entire picture the way it deserves.
