Project I.G.I.: I'm Going In is a tactical first-person shooter developed by Innerloop Studios and released on December 15, 2000 by Eidos Interactive. It is one of the first computer games to feature realistic weaponry and tactical combat situations. Upon release the game garnered mixed reviews due to a number of shortcomings, such as poorly programmed A.I., lack of a mid-game save option, and the lack of multiplayer features. However it was praised for its superb sound design and graphics, thanks in part to its use of a proprietary game engine that was previously used in Innerloop's Joint Strike Fighter.
Plot:
Jones is sent off to find arms dealer Josef Priboi who is believed to have a nuclear warhead . Along the way, he discovers that the real brains of the operation is Josef's uncle Jach, so Jones sets about apprehending him instead. Jones is required to find his location and then he sets off to assist a mission force , so that Josef is caught. Upon infiltrating Jach's communication network ,next Jones is off to catch Jach Priboi . While Priboi is taken away in helicopter , the helicopter is crashed by Ekk . David then has to clear the border and find his equipment . Then he hijacks the train carrying Priboi and takes him in for interrogation . Learning about the involvement of Ekk , he sets to catch her and find the nuclear weapon . Ekk escapes on her first meeting with Jones , but Jones kills her after finding her second hideout and finding the nuke head.
Equipment:
In Project I.G.I. the player is required to assess the situation and use the weapon best suited under the circumstances. At his disposal are a multitude of weapons which may include land mines and sniper rifles to captured enemy weapons. Realism was intended to be paramount in the game, and so it features real weapons such as the Glock 9mm, MP5SD, SPAS-12 and the Dragunov sniper rifle.
Knives: Combat Knife
Sidearms: Glock 17, Colt Anaconda, Desert Eagle
Submachine Guns: MP5SD3, Uzi (also in pair)
Assault Rifles: M16A2/M203, AK47
Shotguns: SPAS12, Mk3A1 Jackhammer
Sniper Rifles: SVD Dragunov
Heavy Weapons: M249 Minimi, LAW80, M2HB
Explosives: HE Grenade, Flashbang, Proximity Mine
Special: Binoculars, Map computer (gives realtime satellite image of the terrain), Medipack (Less) Channel: youtube
