Utilizing of influences from Jazz to contemporary erudite music, some of his most significant pieces are the songs "Saint Jacques", dedicated and executed by French pianist Jean Yves Thibaudet, the "choro" "Caixinha Brasileira de Música", dedicated to the pianist Marcelo Bratke, as well as his symphonic poem "Marcha Fúnebre do Índio Brasileiro".
Beyond the approval of renowned artists in Brazil and around the world such as Leny Andrade, Edson Frederico, Paulinho Trumpete, José Carlos "Bigorna", Jerzy Milewski, among others, Maranesi's work has had great instantaneous receptivity and international acclaim, his pieces being executed in many radio shows around the world such as those of Radio Stations 101,9FM (New York), Radio France (Paris), Bélgique FM (Brussels).
In Brazil, many radio stations play his instrumental compositions through the execution of various Brazilian interpreters.
The songwriter was the founder of São Paulo's catholic law university's (PUC) choir and is a lawyer since 1969, specializing in the field of labor law.
Maranesi is also the author of the book "As Mais Belas Músicas do Mundo", that adresses various philosophical themes relating to popular music, and addresses themes such as Musical Economics, The Difference Between Intelligent Music and that of Fast Consumption, The Importance of the Media in the Dissemination of the Music, Brief History of Music and Popular Music.
The composer writes specifically for solo Piano as well as pieces with lyrics in Portuguese and English. Compilations of his work have been recorded by pianist Edson Frederico on the cd "Edson Frederico Plays Maranesi" and by singer Célia on the cd "Célia Canta Maranesi".
