Description: Was Uncle Ho an Incorrigible Liar? Ðằng Vân Point of View Week Ending 13 May 2007 Given the recent prosecutions, convictions and jailing of political dissidents such as Attorney Nguyen (More) Was Uncle Ho an Incorrigible Liar? Ðằng Vân Point of View Week Ending 13 May 2007 Given the recent prosecutions, convictions and jailing of political dissidents such as Attorney Nguyen Van Dai, Le Thi Cong Nhan, Catholic Father Nguyen Van Ly, Dr. Le Nguyen Sang, Journalist Huynh Nguyen Dao and Attorney Nguyen Bac Truyen, it was with some surprise when I read, on VietnamNet (13 May 2007), an article by a Dr. Tran Viet Hoan entitled "Uncle Ho: his words accord with his actions". The fact that Dr. Tran Viet Hoan's article is printed in a prominent mouthpiece of the government such as VietnamNet is indicative of his status within the ruling Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV). The good doctor offered the following analysis, among others: "Truth and Reality. Because Truth is the opposite of falsehood and lies. Reality is the opposite of cursoriness and half-heartedness. This means bitter pills will cure sickness; words that shock your ears are good guidance for action (Confucius) - This is the effective weapon against malicious, deceitful elements whose words do not accord with their actions. They say one thing and do another. They use words to hide their sins. They mix black with white, righteousness with evil. Just as Uncle has taught us: There are those whose mouths always say service to the Fatherland, service to the people, but are seduced by corruption, waste (and become) harmful to the Fatherland (and) the people." Prior to joining WTO and the hosting of the APEC Summit in Hanoi, not only did the CPV guarantee to the USA and other world leaders that there were no political or religious prisoners in Vietnam, and it was not CPV policy to suppress human rights nor religious freedom. Indeed so much so that Vietnam was allowed to join WTO, its name removed from the infamous CPC list of the US State Department and Hanoi proudly hosted the APEC summit in much glamour and fanfare. But as soon as the CPV has reaped the benefits of its guarantees to the international community, it makes a 180 degree turn, betray its own words and carried out unprecedented suppression of religious, human, and civil rights in Vietnam. They are the heirs to the legacy of their Uncle Ho. They are constitutionally mandated by article 4 of the constitution to study and follow the thoughts of Ho Chi Minh. They must thus be the true heirs to his thoughts and action. Either they are a bunch of heretics or their venerable Uncle Ho was an incorrigible liar. They have studied his words and actions so hard that their words and actions completely mirror his. According to an article published May 9, 2007: (Ahearn: Montagnards up against the wall, by Lorraine Ahearn, Staff Writer, News-Record.com) "Well, it's now been six months since the U.S. removed its new trade partner, Vietnam, from a human rights blacklist. And guess what? Human rights under one of the world's most oppressive regimes have taken a turn for the worse, according to relief workers, members of Congress and leaders of the Montagnard exile community in Greensboro. "The Vietnamese government lied to the world in order to join the World Trade organization," said Y-Siu Hlong, executive director of the 8,000-member Montagnard-Dega Association based here. "In reality, they still put people in jail for their beliefs; they still arrest students for using the Internet." The ethnic highlanders have long been a thorn in the Vietnamese government's side. They are a largely Christian racial minority in an officially Buddhist country and fought for the U.S. in the Vietnam War." Did Ms. Lorraine Ahearn say that the CPV lied to the world in order to join the WTO? Whose fault is it that CPV leaders are shameless liars? What did CPV's own Dr. Tran Viet Hoan mean when he used the expression "they mix black with white, righteousness with evil"? Would mixing article 4 of the 1992 constitution with the rights and freedoms in articles 54, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73 and 74 in the same constitution, while using article 4 to rob the people of all their rights and freedom under the same constitution, fit his description? It sure does to me. There is a saying: Like father like son. In the case of Ho Chi Minh and CPV leaders, the saying should definitely be: like uncle like nephews. To be able to bring up such a bunch of shameless lying and cheating nephews, Ho Chi Minh must be an incorrigible liar in his own time. Ðằng Vân 14 May 2007 (Less) Channel: youtube

Description: CAN Cambodian people find a justice for their lost families, whose souls can't comfortably rest in peace, terribly have convulsed and turned the world upside down to protect their past glory from (More) CAN Cambodian people find a justice for their lost families, whose souls can't comfortably rest in peace, terribly have convulsed and turned the world upside down to protect their past glory from sinking into the hot-iron grips of Thais and Yuonese who always claim themselves unshamefacedfully that they are the best-civilized people in the South East Asia by fiercely and illegally plundering, robbing, eating, gulping, conquesting, conquering, and colonizing Cambodia like this. Yuon pretended to break away from their Khmer Rouge comrade-in-arms in order to send their troops to fully take control of Cambodia in 1979:- Despite objections from the Soviet Union and from Czechoslovakia, the UN Security Council allowed Prince Sihanouk to argue the case for Democratic Kampuchea in early January 1979. Sihanouk, who had distanced himself from Khmer Rouge brutality, charged that Vietnam had committed flagrant acts of aggression against Cambodia, and he asked the council to demand an end to Hanoi's interference in Cambodian affairs. He also urged that the council not recognize the puppet regime in Phnom Penh, and he appealed to all nations to suspend aid to Vietnam.
Why did Cambodia need the Khmer Rouge to convulse the world like that? Who keeps plundering and robbing Cambodia in the West and in the East like that? Who were the real murderers behind the killing fields? Does Cambodia have enough wealth/money to lodge their complaint against Thai, Yuon and Laotian land plunderers and land robbers at The Hague or in New York or in Paris? So if the Khmer Rouge didn't convulse the world, would the people in the outside world know or care about a tiny Cambodia, which is nearly being wiped out on the World Map? Even after 1991 Paris Peace Agreement with Thai, Laotian and Yuon leaders and the UN, but these leaders still ignore it and trying to grab more lands from Cambodians in a broad daylight:- Cambodia has steadily declined from its previous place of glory and power. Like any great empire, a period of decline is expected, but why did Cambodia's decline result in the rise of the Khmer Rouge and ultimately genocide in Cambodia?
No scholar or expert on earth who can read Sihanouk's mind of what he really wants for his country since the war started in 1970 until today. Many of his Khmer children fiercely blame and attack his bad foreign policy having complicity with Vietcong, Chinese and Russian giant communists. In fact, he had no other choices but had to plunge himself so painfully to join his 3-Century-Old-Leech-Hereditary Foes of Yuon to fight against the American imperialists. Why did he have to join with three evil communists? Sihanouk, who feels so painfully in his heart, didn't know how to reclaim all lost lands back from Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. Not only that, he had no super-powers to help him reclaiming all lost lands. Thailand and South Vietnam have super-power American imperialists. North Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh, had super-power Chinese and Russian giant communists backing them in the jungle war against the American imperialists and its lackey South Vietnamese, Nguyen Van Thieu. Whereas Sihanouk is so lonely, whose life is in the hands of the three evil communists who could kidnap or kill him any time, like President Ngo Dinh Diem. And his country was secretly riddled with all Yuon secret agents and spies hiding from his toes to his head.
Recently, Sihanouk gave all clear messages to the world about Vietnamese dirty plans against Khmers:- The Vietnamese, in Saigon as well as Hanoi, proceeded to slice up the country only Norodom Sihanouk's presence in power had kept intact. In the second place, Hanoi is afraid Norodom Sihanouk might be restored to power.
Therefore, the Khmer Rouges were Vietnamese secret agents/spies who have secretly worn black balaclavas as Khmer Rouge who brutally killed our close relatives and parents. And this is what Khmer people like to call "Shrimps Soup of Khmer Rouge Trial". eg: when you try to scoop shrimps soup with your ladle; the appendages of shrimps, which widely scattered slowly one after the other. From each body segment of a shrimp, several long, sharp body parts reach out. The parts do different things for a shrimp. Together, however, they are called appendages. A shrimp's many appendages give it a spiky look and fell. Appendages are evenly set. Most shrimp have 19 pairs of appendages. They include two pair of whip-like antennae, or feelers, on the shrimp's head. They also include jointed legs and flattened appendages used for swimming and carrying eggs. (Shrimp by Lynn M. Stone, 2003) It means that there are too many foreigners involving in killing Cambodians since 18th Century until today. Those foreigners who are involved in killing fields will be summoned in a shameful manner to stand on trial with all Khmer Rouge leaders. (Less) Channel: youtube

Australian troops inflicted heavy casualties on an estimated force of two North Vietnamese battalions in the final week of May 1968 when the enemy tried to overrun Australian Fire Support Base "Balmoral" in Bien Hoa Province, north of Saigon. This footage, shot after the, the second attack on "Balmoral" (27/28 May 1968), shows infantry of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment who also suffered heavy casualties. Evacuation helicopters were hovering over the battle scene soon after the action took place, and the wounded Australian troops, were flown out. The action began when a shower of rockets and mortar shells crashed into the wooded area. Although the Australians had little time to take cover, they suffered less casualties than they had on the previous attack, on 25/26 May. A large number of enemy weapons were captured in the engagement - many left behind as the North Vietnamese retreated shortly before dawn. Among the weapons were automatic rifles, machine guns, rocket launchers, grenades, torpedoes and mortars. Seven enemy soldiers were captured after the battle. All had been wounded in the fighting, some of them seriously. They were given medical treatment. Then they, too were medically evacuated by air from the area.
We would be pleased to hear from anyone who can identify any soldiers appearing in this footage.

Now the land is soaked with blood and (More) Given the burden of evidence, it was impossible not to agree with Hanoi's assertion that "In Cambodia, a former island of peace...no one smiles today. Now the land is soaked with blood and tears... Cambodia is hell on earth." In fact, Hanoi themselves secretly created "Hell on Earth in which was soaked with Khmer blood and tears in their hands". It sounds like Yuon who aren't involved in killing fields. But in fact, Yuon leaders in Hanoi secretly used Yuon citizens who used to live in Cambodia as the Vietminh and Vietcong. Driven in part by the Cambodian's fears of loss of their country and destruction of their race. When they were marched out of Phnom Penh on the first day after the revolution, a number of Cambodians thought about the prophecy that the Khmer people would disappear from the earth. Ieng Sary was in Hanoi when the Khmer Rouge won the war. He had the privilege of telling the Vietnamese that the Cambodian communists had taken Phnom Penh before the North Vietnamese reached Saigon. He waited one week and then flew home, landing on the crater-scarred strip at Pochentong airport. Sary claims he expected something else. "It was very quiet, "he said. "And it was very dirty. All I saw was destruction around the city. I saw no people at all. The soldiers had evacuated them all. I remember the national bank had been blown up already..." If the cadre argued against forced relocations, they were taken away and killed. No one knew what would trigger the anger of Angka, what punishment would be imposed. The only certainty was that death would be secret. In the first Chenla in 1970, Baray was lost to the North Vietnamese army. in the second operation one year later it was recaptured by Lon Nol troops, but it was forfeited once more in October in counterattack by the north Vietnamese, who fought with Cambodians, Baray was lost in that battle for the rest of the war. He feared the North Vietnam, who, he said, was trying to treat Cambodians the way they treated to Lao-as subservient revolutionaries. As early as 1970, Lim realized the relation between the Cambodian and the Vietnamese communists were "not good." Lim also realized early on that Prince Norodom Sihanouk was unpopular among the Khmer Rouge, who wore his badge only when they were sent to fill out the ranks of the North Vietnam army among their own they spoke of the Prince with bitterness. Gradually, Lim gave up hope for a Khmer revolution. he had spent sixteen years in north Vietnam waiting to fight to "liberate" his homeland only discover, he said, that the war in Cambodia was only "for the benefits of the north Vietnam and not the Khmer revolution that he had heard so much about." this was in 1970, one year after he arrived. he and his Khmer Rouge unit had fought a battle in northern Kompong Thom province and been abandoned, he said, by a north Vietnamese army unit that pulled back without informing Lim and the Khmer Rouge. Lim could not live with the deceits and disappointments. He defected to the other side, Lon Nol's side, five days after that battle. He was debriefed by intelligence officers in the U.S. embassy, whom he impressed largely with his fear: fear of Khmer Rouge violence, Vietnamese arrogance and ambitions, and the number of victims that would fall in the wake of this confused war where allies were enemies and enemies' allies. "The 90 percent of the people who lived miserably while the world saw Cambodia as a paradise." They were each other's best coverts to bitter, burning hatred. The speech anti-Vietnamese of the black Book does not manage to hide a fact with which Saloth Sar had certainly been pleased in April 1970: its forces had concluded a true military alliance with the Vietnamese. The objective of this alliance between two countries with the so disproportionate means was to drive out Lon Nol of the capacity. It is more likely that Vietnam's plans were to mislead international opinion and at the same time encourage the sadly deluded Pol Pot regime to rest on its laurels. From their reputed defeat the Yuons came back to take over Kampuchea completely in December, 1978, and January, 1979, showing that the earlier attack had gravely wounded and weakened Pol Pot 's regime. Therefore, the political genocide of Yuon Pham Van Dong against Khmers through the scarecrow or "Witch Idol" of Pol Pot during April 1975...was just a political connection of Truong Ming Giang passing down from Ang Mai's reign. The difference is just that during Yuon Truong Minh Giang abolished Khmer Royal Family openly, whereas during April 1975, Yuon wanted to show their tricky play to the world was to see that Khmers had committed suicided, to say "Khmers killed Khmers by their own hands. People committed suicided, how can God help them? (Less) Channel: youtube

They did not have to help us but they did anyway and with that I pay this very little homage for their sacrifice. ROK statistics in Vietnam: - 4,960 KIA (killed in action) - 16, 000 WIA (wounded in action) - 40,000 enemy kills Killing ratio: 1:15 (ROK:VC) International comments: Koreans killing ratio has been 15:1, and they drove out the enemy from the swamp area of Vin Dhing, where both the French and Vietnamese were not successful during the past 20 years. The basic characteristic of Koreans is their unending fighting spirit. It is not at all surprising that the enemy is avoiding contact with the Tiger, White Horse and Blue Dragon Warriors. Captured enemy documents indicate that the VC are instructed not to make contact with Koreans. - Saigon Post March,20,1968 Captured Viet Cong orders now stipulate that contact with the Koreans is to be avoided at all costs unless a Viet Cong victory is 100% certain. Never defy Korean soldiers without discrimination, even when are not armed, for they all well trained with Taekwondo. - An excerpt from an enemy directive seized - New York Times July 22, 1966 If the Korean forces had taken charge of the whole of South Vietnam or the U.S forces had drawn a lesson from "Go Boi", the Vietnam war would already have been won. When one takes a ride in a car for 96 kilometers in the pitch-black dark, there is not a single sign of rifle shooting or ambush attack. None but the Korean soldiers could do so anywhere in South Vietnam. -The London Times. The Americans in South Vietnam give the Koreans top marks both as fighting men and for their pacification efforts. Indeed, some Americans who have worked with the ROKs believe that it would not hurt the U.S to study their methods.
