An opening for an exhibition of Raising Spirit For Our Homeland (More) We are here at Prince of Songkla University for a Raising Spirit In Our Homeland project. Lets go see what all the fun is about. An opening for an exhibition of Raising Spirit For Our Homeland project was held by a former Miss Thailand, Pop Areeya Sirisupa and movie director of Our Southern Home, Sunisa Kongsri, at Prince of Songkla University campus in Phuket. The purpose of this project is to build awareness and compassion from students and people all around Thailand to foster the love among all Thais, as well as calling for nation unity. Pop Areeya said she and Sunisa had traveled to many provinces in Thailand including the northern, western and southern parts, where they will stop their project at the southern province of Trang. Areeya told us that she decided to have her last exhibition in Trang because it was her birth place. The 80 minute movie presentation called Our Southern Home was shown to PSU students and teachers. After watching the short film, students were encouraged to discuss about the Raising Spirit in Our Homeland project with Pop Areeya and Sunisa. Inside the exhibition were photos, which captured students who are working on the project / batik which was created by students and souvenirs such as T-Shirts, printed with a catchy slogan Oh Oh Our Southern Home, and O-TOP food were on display and some were for sale. Kind people and students also donated books and clothes for some unfortunate kids in Phuket province. By doing this, Pop Areeya and Sunisa believe that students and people from different provinces will realize the value of love among them and join hands to unite the country. Areeya talked to us about the project and how impressed the PSU students made her feel. (Interview: Pop Areeya) Lastly, she told us she was hoping that this tour and building awareness for people and students will not only help keep the nation in better shape but also create generosity among the Thai kids.
